Dual-Card Dual-Standby Your mobile phone supports dual-card dual-standby mode, which can significantly reduce power consumpt ion and increase your phone's standby t ime. Note that two restrict ions exist: When you make calls using one SIM card, the other SIM card is disabled. For example, when you make calls using SIM card 1, SIM card 2 cannot be used to answer calls or access the Internet. If someone calls SIM card 2, the caller will hear a voice message like "The subscriber you dialed is out of the service zone" or "The subscriber you dialed is not able to answer your call, please try again later." This is because your mobile phone cannot access the network with both SIM cards at the same time and has nothing to do with your service provider's network condition. It is recommended that you subscribe to services such as voicemail or missed-call reminders from your service provider to avoid the inconvenience caused by missed calls. When you are using one SIM card's data services, you can receive calls and messages using the other SIM card, but data services will be interrupted. For example, when SIM card 1's data services are in use, you can use SIM card 2 for calling and messaging, but SIM card 1's data services will be interrupted as a result. When the call using SIM card 2 is terminated, or the message is received or sent, you can resume using SIM card 1's data services. Certification information (SAR) This device meets guidelines for exposure to radio waves. Your device is a low-power radio transmitter and receiver. As recommended by internat ional guidelines, the device is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves. These guidelines were developed by the Internat ional Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiat ion Protect ion (ICNIRP), an independent scient ific organizat ion, and include safety measures designed to ensure the safety of all users, regardless of age and health. The Specific Absorpt ion Rate (SAR) is the unit of measurement for the amount of radio frequency energy absorbed by the body when using a device. The SAR value is determined at the highest cert ified power level in laboratory condit ions, but the actual SAR level during operat ion can be well below the value. This is because the device is designed to use the minimum power required to reach the network. 22 The SAR limit adopted by Europe is 2.0 W/kg averaged over 10 grams of t issue, and the highest SAR value for this device complies with this limit. The highest SAR value reported for this device type when tested at the ear is XXXX W/kg, and when properly worn on the body is XXXX W/kg. Statement Hereby, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. declares that this device is in compliance with the essent ial requirements and other relevant provisions of Direct ive 1999/5/EC. For the declarat ion of conformity, visit the web site http://consumer.huawei.com/cert ificat ion. The following marking is included in the product: This device may be operated in all member states of the EU. Observe nat ional and local regulat ions where the device is used. This device may be restricted for use, depending on the local network. FCC Regulatory Compliance Body worn operation The device complies with RF specificat ions when used near your ear or at a distance of 1.0 cm from your body. Ensure that the device accessories, such as a device case and device holster, are not composed of metal components. Keep the device away from your body to meet the distance requirement. Certification information (SAR) This device is also designed to meet the requirements for exposure to radio waves established by the Federal Communicat ions Commission (USA). The SAR limit adopted by the USA is 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of t issue. The highest SAR value reported to the FCC for this device type complies with this limit. The highest SAR value reported to the FCC for this device type when using at the ear is 1.096 W/kg, and when properly worn on 23 the body is 1.404 W/kg, and when using the Wi-Fi hotspot funct ion is 1.404 W/Kg. FCC statement This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protect ion against harmful interference in a resident ial installat ion. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruct ions, may cause harmful interference to radio communicat ions. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a part icular installat ion. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television recept ion, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: --Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. --Increase the separat ion between the equipment and receiver. --Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. --Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operat ion is subject to the following two condit ions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operat ion.
