Quick Start Guide

cutting edge, next generation technology in this
Smartwatch.
Hug Smartwatch is the world’s first Gesture controlled
Smartwatch that helps you stay healthy, safe and
interact with the digital world using gestures. Welcome
to the world of Hug. "Make a move". 1

Hug Smartwatch basics
The groove on the right hand side of the watch houses a
dedicated circular SOS/panic button and a rectangular
power button to turn Hug Smartwatch on or off and wake
the display. To power on or power off the Hug Smartwatch,
press and hold the power button for about three seconds.
The back of the watch has an optical heart rate sensor and
a charging port. The Hug Smartwatch comes in a sleek 11.2
mm casing and an industry standard 22mm, high-quality
silicone rubber strap. You now have the flexibility to replace
the strap with the wide variety available in the accessory
market. "The Hug Smartwatch is meant to be fashionably

Charging the Hug Smartwatch
To charge the Hug Smartwatch, plug the magnetic USB
cable into the charging port located at the back of the Hug
Smartwatch. Use any standard USB port in your laptop, PC,
etc.. or any adapter with USB socket (not included in the
box) with an output rating of 5V, 1A for charging. A full
charge takes approximately 2 hours.

Change Watch faces
Press and hold the watch face for two seconds. After the
watch face changes to a tiny mode, swipe right or left to
select the watch face of your choice.
Primary Navigation
From the watch face screen, swipe left to view the
Functions screen. Swipe up or down on the functions
screen to view various screens. Tap to select a function.
Swipe right to return to the previous screen (as shown in
the picture below)

Quick Access
From the watch face screen, swipe down to go to the Quick
Access menu. Here you will see the Fitness dashboard, Add
Water, Find My Phone, Heart rate, Fitness and Set Alarm
functions (as shown in the picture below)
Controls
From the watch face screen, swipe up to go to the controls
screen. Here you can toggle on Bluetooth, silent mode, Do
Not Disturb and adjust brightness and volume (as shown
in the picture below)

Pairing the Hug Smartwatch with your
smartphone
To pair the Hug Smartwatch with your smartphone,
download and install the Hug mobile application from App
Store or Google Play Store. Alternatively you can visit
(www.huginnovations.com/downloads).
1. Please switch on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
2. Open the Hug mobile app and navigate to the REGISTER
tab on the onboarding screen.
3. Scan the barcode on the bottom of the box and
follow next steps to complete pairing and registration.

5. Upon successful pairing and registration, you will receive
a welcome email with useful information about your Hug
Smartwatch.
Note: Please refer to ‘App Tour Guide’ at www.huginno-
vations.com/support for comprehensive informa-
tion on using Hug Smartwatch.
Caution:
Please avoid using other charger cables to charge Hug
Smartwatch to prevent damage of the electronics. 12
Avoid using adapters other than capacity rated 5V, 1A as it
may lead to damage of battery.
Hug Smartwatch is designed and tested to function in
temperatures between -10°C and 40°C.
The storage temperature has been tested between -20°C
and 60°C.
Do not charge Hug Smartwatch when it is wet or moist.
Charging in these conditions may result in an electric
shock.
Do not dispose the Hug Smartwatch in fire, the battery
could explode causing injury or death.
Do not use water or any bleaching liquids. Use any gadget
cleaning liquid with a soft wiping tissue to clean the
accumulated dust. 13
Safety Information and Notices
Hug Smartwatch meets the IC requirements for RF
exposure in public or uncontrolled environments.
Use of Hug Smartwatch is subject to the safety measures
designed to protect users and their environment. Failure to
comply with the following precautions may be dangerous
or illegal.
Never attempt to disassemble Hug Smartwatch. You
alone are responsible for how you use your Hug
Smartwatch and any consequences of its use.
Keep Bluetooth switched off, especially wherever the use
of Bluetooth is prohibited. 14
Do not use Hug Smartwatch in damp and wet areas such
as bathrooms and swimming pools.
Protect it from liquids and moisture.
If you notice signs of skin irritation or allergy due to the
use of Hug Smartwatch, please stop using it and visit a
physician.
Disposal Instructions
Do not dispose the Hug Smartwatch with household waste.
Disposal should be done in accordance with the local civic
regulations. Please dispose it off at local recycling centers
instead, to help conserve the environment. 15
