•Useinsulatedtoolswhenworkingnearbatteriesorelectricalconnections.Useextremecautionto
avoidshortingofcomponentsorwiring.

OFF,ONandSTART.T ostartthevehicle,placetheForward/ReversehandleintheNEUTRALpositionandturnthe
keypasttheONpositiontotheSTARTpositionandholduntiltheengineisrunningsmoothly.Releasethekeyandit
willreturntotheONpositionandtheengineshouldidle.Theenginewillcontinuetoidleuntilthekeyisturnedtothe
OFFposition.SeefollowingWARNING,CAUTIONandNOTE.

canbestartedonlywhenthehandleisinthestraightupposition(NEUTRAL).Theenginemustbeatidlebefore
shiftingtheForward/Reversehandle.SeeprecedingWARNINGandCAUTION.
Husqvarnavehiclesoperateatareducedspeedinreverse.Thereversebuzzerwillsoundasawarningwhenthe

vehicle,pressthebrakepedal(Figure7).
PARKBRAKE
Theparkbrakehandleislocatedbetweenthedriverandpassengerseats.T oengagetheparkbrake,rstapply
pressuretothebrakepedal,thenpullupontheparkbrakehandleuntilhandlelatchesintoplace.T odisengage,pull
uponthehandleandpressthebuttonontheendofthehandle.Pushhandledown.SeefollowingWARNING.
WARNING
•Theparkbrakehasmultiplelockingpositionsandshouldbermlylockedtopreventvehiclefrom
rolling.
LOCKOUTCAM
Thekey-startvehicleisequippedwithalockoutcamthatallowstheenginetobestartedonlywhenthe
Forward/ReversehandleisintheNEUTRALposition.Thelockoutcam(yellow)islocatedonthebackofthe
Foward/Reversehandleinsidetheenginecompartment(Figure8).

LOWOILWARNINGLIGHT
Thevehicleisequippedwithalowoilwarninglight,locatedontheinstrumentpaneljusttotherightofthesteering
columnandkeyswitch(Figure11).Ifthewarninglightcomeson,oilshouldbecheckedandaddedtotheengineas
necessarybeforecontinuingtousethevehicle.Thevehicleshouldneverbedrivenwhenthelowoilwarninglight
remainson.Ifthewarninglightgoesonandoff,thevehiclemaybedriven,butoilshouldbeaddedattherst
opportunity.Iftheoilleveliscorrectandthewarninglightstayson,haveatrainedtechniciancheckthevehicle.
SeefollowingCAUTION.
CAUTION
•Failuretoaddoilimmediatelywhenthelowoilwarninglightstaysonmayresultinpermanent
enginedamage.

operateswhenthekeyswitchisintheONposition,andallowstheoperatortomonitorthefuellevelinthevehicle.The
hourmeteroperatesonlywhentheengineisrunning,andshouldbeusedonlybytrainedtechnicianstotrackvehicle

HEADLIGHTCONTROL
Theheadlightcontrolislocatedonthefrontinstrumentpanelbetweenthefuelgauge/hourmeterandsteeringcolumn.
Pulltheheadlightcontrolknobouttoturntheheadlightsonandpushtheknobintoturntheheadlightsoff.
NOTE:Usingtheheadlightsforextendedperiodsoftimewithouttheenginerunning,orwiththeengineidling,will
dischargethebattery.
LIGHTBARCONTROL
Thelightbarcontrolisatoggleswitchlocatedontheinstrumentpanelaboveandslightlyleftoftheheadlightcontrol

•Forward/Reverseshifter:Checkforproperoperation.SeeControlsandIndicatorsonpage11.
•Brakes:Besurethebrakesfunctionproperly.Whenbrakepedalisfullypressedundermoderatepressure,it
shouldnotgomorethanhalfwaytotheoorboard,andvehicleshouldcometoasmooth,straightstop.Ifthebrake
pedalgoesmorethanhalfwaytotheoorboard,orifthevehicleswervesorfailstostop,havethebrakesystem
checkedandadjustedasrequired.Whenbrakepedalisfullypressedunderheavypressure,pedalshouldfeelrm
andfootpadshouldbeaminimumof2inches(5.1cm)fromoorboard.Brakeadjustmentmustbemaintainedso
thebrakepedalcannotbepressedtotheoorboardunderanycircumstance.
•Parkbrake:Applymoderatepressuretoparkbrakehandle.T ensionshouldincreaseasthehandleispulled.When
latched,theparkbrakeshouldlockthewheelsandholdthevehiclestationary(onaninclineof20%orless).
•Reversebuzzer:ThereversebuzzershouldsoundasawarningwhentheForward/Reversehandleisinthe
REVERSEposition.
•Steering:Thevehicleshouldbeeasytosteerandshouldnothaveanyplayinthesteeringwheel.
•Acceleratorforpedal-startvehicle:WiththekeyswitchintheONpositionandtheForward/Reversehandleinthe
FORWARDposition,astheacceleratorpedalispressed,theengineshouldstartandthevehicleshouldaccelerate
smoothlytofullspeed.Whenthepedalisreleaseditshouldreturntotheoriginalpositionandtheenginestop.
Husqvarnavehiclesoperateatreducedspeedinreverse.
•Acceleratorforkey-startvehicle:AfterstartingtheenginewiththekeyswitchandplacingtheForward/Reverse
handleintheFORWARDposition,thevehicleshouldacceleratesmoothlytofullspeedastheacceleratorpedalis
pressed.Whentheacceleratorpedalisreleaseditshouldreturntotheoriginalpositionandtheengineshouldidle.
•Governor:Checkmaximumvehiclespeed.Itshouldoperateinforwardat17-19mph(27-31km/h)onalevel
surface.
•Differentiallockcable:Withthewheelsatrest,pullthedifferentiallockhandletowardtherearofthevehicle
(lockedposition).Thedifferentiallockarmattheotherendofthecableshouldmoveapproximatelyone-halfinch
(12.7mm)downward.Whenthedifferentiallockhandleisplacedbackintotheunlockedposition,thedifferential
lockarmshouldmoveapproximatelyone-halfinch(12.7mm)upward.
•General:Listenforanyunusualnoisessuchassqueaksorrattles.Checkthevehicle’srideandperformance.
HaveaHusqvarnadealeroratrainedtechnicianinvestigateanythingunusual.

11.Releasebrakepedalandslowlypressacceleratorpedal.Astheacceleratorpedalispressed,speedwillincrease

charger,onboardcomputer,andsolid-statespeedcontrollerarecoveredunderseparateHusqvarnawarranties.
AlsoexcludedfromanyHusqvarnawarrantyisdamagetoavehicleorcomponentresultingfromacauseother
thanadefectincludingunreasonableorunintendedstrainoruse,improperinstallationofaccessories,installation

regulations.However,theuseofgasolinepoweredgolfcarsinareasofCaliforniathatdonotattainthefederalozone
standardsisillegal.PleaserefertotheAirResourcesBoardinformationathttp://www.arb.ca.gov/enf/enf.htmfor
compliance.
YOURWARRANTYRIGHTSANDOBLIGATIONS:
TheCaliforniaAirResourcesBoard("CARB")andHusqvarnaarepleasedtoexplaintheemissioncontrolsystem
warrantyonyour2008vehicleengine.InCalifornia,newsmalloff-roadengines(SORE)mustbedesigned,builtand
equippedtomeettheState’sstringentanti-smogstandards.Husqvarnamustwarranttheemissioncontrolsystem
onthevehicleenginefortheperiodsoftimelistedbelowprovidedtherehasbeennoabuse,neglectorimproper
maintenanceofyoursmalloff-roadengine.Youremissioncontrolsystemmayincludepartssuchasthecarburetoror
fuel-injectionsystem,theignitionsystem,andcatalyticconverter.Alsoincludedmaybehoses,belts,connectorsand
otheremission-relatedassemblies.Whereawarrantableconditionexists,Husqvarnawillrepairyourvehicleengine
atnocosttoyouincludingdiagnosis,partsandlabor.
MANUFACTURER’SWARRANTYCOVERAGE:
Thisemissioncontrolsystemiswarrantedfortwoyears.Ifanyemission-relatedpartonyourequipmentisdefective,
thepartwillberepairedorreplacedbyHusqvarna.
OWNER’SWARRANTYRESPONSIBILITIES:
-Asthevehicleengineowner,youareresponsiblefortheperformanceoftherequiredmaintenancelistedinyour
owner’smanual.Husqvarnarecommendsthatyouretainallreceiptscoveringmaintenanceonyourvehicleengine,but
Husqvarnacannotdenywarrantysolelyforthelackofreceiptsorforyourfailuretoensuretheperformanceofall
scheduledmaintenance.
-Asthevehicleengineowner,youshouldhoweverbeawarethatHusqvarnamaydenyyouwarrantycoverageif
vehicleengineoraparthasfailedduetoabuse,neglect,impropermaintenanceorunapprovedmodications.

designed,builtandequippedsoastoconformwithallapplicableregulations;andfreefromdefectsinmaterialsand
workmanshipthatcausethefailureofawarrantedparttobeidenticalinallmaterialrespectstothatpartasdescribedin
Husqvarnasapplicationforcertication.Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedatetheengineorequipmentisdelivered
toanultimatepurchaserorrstplacedintoservice.Thewarrantyperiodistwoyears.
2.COVERAGE:
Subjecttocertainconditionsandexclusionsasstatedbelow,thewarrantyonemission-relatedpartsisasfollows:
(1)Anywarrantedpartthatisnotscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenanceinthewritteninstructions
supplied,iswarrantedforthewarrantyperiodstatedabove.Ifthepartfailsduringtheperiodofwarrantycoverage,the
partwillberepairedorreplacedbyHusqvarnaaccordingtosubsection(4)below.Anysuchpartrepairedorreplaced
underwarrantywillbewarrantedfortheremainderoftheperiod.
(2)Anywarrantedpartthatisscheduledonlyforregularinspectioninthewritteninstructionssuppliediswarranted
forthewarrantyperiodstatedabove.Anysuchpartrepairedorreplacedunderwarrantywillbewarrantedforthe
remainingwarrantyperiod.
(3)Anywarrantedpartthatisscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenanceinthewritteninstructionssuppliedis
warrantedfortheperiodoftimebeforetherstscheduledreplacementdateforthatpart.Ifthepartfailsbeforethe
rstscheduledreplacement,thepartwillberepairedorreplacedbyHusqvarnaaccordingtosubsection(4)below.
Anysuchpartrepairedorreplacedunderwarrantywillbewarrantedfortheremainderoftheperiodpriortotherst

(7)Husqvarnaisliablefordamagestootherengineorequipmentcomponentsproximatelycausedbyafailureunder
warrantyofanywarrantedpart.
(8)Throughouttheengineorequipmentwarrantyperiodstatedabove,Husqvarnawillmaintainasupplyofwarranted
partssufcienttomeettheexpecteddemandforsuchparts.
(9)Anyreplacementpartmaybeusedintheperformanceofanywarrantymaintenanceorrepairsandmustbe
providedwithoutchargetotheowner.SuchusewillnotreducethewarrantyobligationsofHusqvarna.
(10)Add-onormodiedpartsthatarenotexemptedbytheAirResourcesBoardmaynotbeused.Theuseofany
non-exemptedadd-onormodiedpartsbytheultimatepurchaserwillbegroundsfordisallowingawarrantyclaims.
Husqvarnawillnotbeliabletowarrantfailuresofwarrantedpartscausedbytheuseofanon-exemptedadd-onor
