FCC INFORMATION READ THIS BEFORE INSTALLATION Your telephone conforms to federal regulations, and you can connect it to most telephone lines, However, each device you connect to the phone line draws power from the phone line. We refer to this power draw as the device’s ringer equivalence number, or REN. The REN is shown on the label of your phone If you are using more than one phone or other devices on the line, add up all the RENS. If the total is more than five, your phone might not ring in rural areas, a total REN of three might impair ringer operation. FCC STATEMENT This telephone complies with part 68 of FCC Rules. You must, upon request, provide the FCC Registration Number and the REN to your phone company. These numbers are located on the label of your phone. Note: You must not connect your phone to any of the followings: • Coin-operated system • Patty-line systems • Most electronic key phone systems Your telephone operates on standard radio frequencies, as allocated by the FCC. Even though the access protection code prevents unauthorized use of your phone line, it is possible for other radio units operating on similar frequencies within a certain area to unintentionally intercept your conversations and/or cause interference. This lack of privacy can occur with any cordless phone. 1) This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules and the requirements adopted by the ACTA. On the bottom of this equipment is a label that contains, among other information, a product identifier in the format US:47GW400B35293-4. Kim First Issued 2007/JUN/01 Page : 4/24 4) The REN is used to determine the number of devices that may be connected to a telephone line. Excessive RENs on a telephone line may result in the devices not ringing in response to an incoming call. In most but not all areas, the sum of RENs should not exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number of devices that may be connected to a line, as determined by the total RENs, contact the local telephone company. For products approved after July 23, 2001, the REN for this product is part of the product identifier that has the format US:47GW400B35293-4. The digits represented by 0.0B are the REN without a decimal point. For earlier products, the REN is separately shown on the label. 5) If this equipment 35293-4 causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company will notify you in advance that temporary discontinuance of service may be required.
