257BATTERY PACKS■ChargingprecautionsNEVER connect two or more chargersat the same time.Charging may not occur under temper-atures of 10°C (+50°F) or over temper-atures of 40°C (+104°F).When using BC-119: If the chargeindicator flashes orange, vehicle bat-tery voltage is low and charging isnot possible. Check the vehicle bat-tery voltage in this case. If the chargeindicator flashes red, there may be aproblem with the battery pack (orcharger). Re-insert the battery packor contact your dealer.■Battery packchargingThe BP-200L BATTERY PACKincludesrechargeable Ni-MH batteries and canbe charged approx. 300 times. Chargethe battery pack before first operatingthe transceiver or when the batterypack becomes exhausted.If you want to be able to charge the bat-tery pack more than 300 times, the fol-lowing points should be observed:1.Avoid overcharging. The charging pe-riod should be less than 48 hours.2.Use the battery until it becomes al-most completely exhausted undernormal conditions.
