Locate the battery compartment.2. Install  the  batteries  by  matching  the  correctpolarity. Always  use  the  correct  battery  type(2 x UM-4 AAA-sized 1.5V batteries). WARNING  Reversing  the  polarity  may  damage  theproduct.Replace the batteries whenever the low batteryicon is shown  , the display is dim, or the displaydoes not illuminate when the power is on. EN8Even  though  there  are  areas  that  may  have  moredifficulty in receiving a signal, the atomic clock containsaccurate quartz movement and will retain precise timingif the signal is missed on a rare occasion.Reception  can  be  affected  by  a  number  offactors. For best reception, place the device away frommetal objects and electrical appliances. Other causesfor  signal  interference  include  electrical  transmissiontower, steel  reinforced construction,  and metal  siding.Reception is ideal when placed near a window.NOTETURN ATOMIC CLOCK ON / OFFTo manually enable the reception of the atomic clock:Press and  hold the UP  button for 2  seconds until theatomic clock reception symbol appears and flashes.To manually disable the reception of the RF signal:Press and hold the  DOWN button for  2 seconds untilthe atomic clock reception symbol disappears.SETTING THE CLOCK MANUALLYTo adjust the clock settings manually without automaticatomic clock synchronization, remember to disable theatomic clock reception first.To set the clock manually therefore:1. Press  and  hold  the  DOWN  button  for  2  secondsuntil the atomic clock reception signal disappears.2. Press and hold the CLOCK button to enter the clock-setting mode. Then use the UP or DOWN button toadjust the value of each setting.CLOCK MODEThe Clock mode has 3 types of display:a) HH_MM_SS / Calendarb) HH_MM_Day-of-the-Week / Calendarc) HH-MM-ZONE OFFSET / CalendarPress the CLOCK button to toggle between thethree modes.CLOCK SETTING MODETo set the time:1. Press the ALARM button to exit the set mode.To select the time zone:1. Press and hold the CLOCK button for 2 seconds.The  time-zone  offset  hour  digits  will  blink.  Usethe UP and DOWN buttons to select your time zone(-8 /  -7 /  -6 / -5  represents the  4 U.S.  time-zonesPacific / Mountains / Central / Eastern respectively)2. Press the ALARM button to exit the set mode.TIME ZONE SETTING MODETo select time format:1. Press and hold the CLOCK button for 2 seconds.2. Press the CLOCK button once again.3. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select the timeformat (whether 12-hour to 24-hour format).4. Press the ALARM button to exit the set mode.NOTETIME FORMAT SETTING MODETo set the current date:1. Press and hold the CLOCK button for 2 seconds.2. Press CLOCK four more times.3. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select the year.4. Press the CLOCK button to set the date format byusing the UP and DOWN buttons.5. Press  the  CLOCK  button  to  set  month  using  theUP and DOWN buttons.6. EN10The  three  squiggly  lines  indicate  "on"  for  theoptional vibrating wake up device.SETTING THE ALARM TIMEPress  and  hold  the  ALARM  button  for  2  seconds  toenter the Alarm Setting mode.To adjust the alarm time, make sure that the alarm timeis currently displayed on the LCD screen. (To do this,press the ALARM button).If you  do not press  any button, the  alarm willautomatically stop ringing after 2 minutes.DISPLAYING THE ALARM TIMEBy default, the unit's LCD screen displays the currentdate and month.To display the alarm time instead:Press the ALARM button.DIFFERENT ALARM MODESTo choose a language:1. Press and hold the CLOCK button for 2 seconds.2. Press CLOCK eight times.3. Use  the  UP  and  DOWN  buttons  to  select  thelanguage.4. Press the CLOCK button once more to exit the setmode.LANGUAGE SETTING MODEPress the ALARM button or the PROJECTIONON button to exit the Clock Setting mode. EN11To set the alarm time:1. Press and hold the ALARM button for 2 seconds.2. Adjust the hour of the alarm time by using the UPand DOWN buttons.3. Adjust  the  minute  of  the  alarm  time  by  using  theUP and DOWN buttons.4. Press the ALARM button when done.5. Select the alarm types (sound only; vibration alarmonly or both) by using the UP and DOWN buttons.6. Press the ALARM button when done.The alarm time should now be displayed.ACTIVATING / DEACTIVATING THE ALARMTo set the alarm on:Press the   ON / OFF button.You  will  see  the  bell  icon  appear  beside  thedate on the lower half of the LCD display. The first bellwill  turn  on  the  alarm  for Alarm  #1.  If  you  press  the ON / OFF button a second time, you will activate thesecond alarm as well (as shown by the appearance ofthe second bell icon beside the date but below the bellicon for the first alarm).THE SNOOZE FUNCTIONWhile the alarm is ringing, press the SNOOZE / LIGHTbutton to stop the Alarm sound and enable the Snoozefunction.When the Snooze function is enabled, the Snooze alarmwill  last  between  8  and  9  minutes. EN12To turn on the projector:Press  the  SNOOZE  button  to  activate  the  projectorfor 5 seconds.If  the AC  /  DC  adaptor  is  plugged,  press thePROJECTOR  ON  and  the  projector  will  staycontinuously  on.  Press  the  PROJECTOR  ON  buttonagain to deactivate the continuous projection-on function.ANIMATION SPEED SETTINGTo enter to the projector setting mode:1. Press the PROJECTOR ON button for 2 seconds.2. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select either fastor slow animation.3. Press the PROJECTION ON button to confirm.The  order  of  the  flashing  items  is  speedhigh / slow, alarm animation on / off, exit project settingmode.ANIMATION ON / OFF SETTINGTo set the animation on:1. EN13The animation feature will move the image ofthe  time,  alarm  on/off  status  and  alarm  time  in  acascading and random motion, which is pleasant to theeye.To flip the projected time upside down:1. Press the SNOOZE / LIGHT button.2. While the projector is on, press the SNOOZE  /  LIGHTbutton again to flip the time.3. To  flip  again,  press  the  SNOOZE  /  LIGHT  buttonagain, etc.THE VIBRATING DEVICE (OPTIONAL)The vibrating wake-up device receives a signal from themain unit and performs a wake-up function by vibrating.It is designed to go under your pillow. You can purchasethe device separately.NOTEThe device has a range of roughly 50 feet and has anLED  meter  to  show  data  transmission  and  batterylevel.The light on the vibration device will flash in red whenthe battery is low, and the light will flash in green whenthe battery power is full.The  switch  within  the  vibrating  device  can  adjust  toalarm 1 or alarm 2, or both. Simply select the alarm timewhen you want the device to wake you up.The  vibrating  device is  powered  by  two  "AA"1.5V alkaline batteries (included). It is also compatiblewith rechargeable batteries (not included).THE BACKLIGHTThe user can press the SNOOZE / LIGHT button at thebase of the unit to enable the backlight function and thebacklight will be turned on and last for 5 seconds.THE RESET HOLEIf the clock behaves strangely or stops responding, insertand press a blunt stylus into the clock's Reset Hole.
