Press MODE to confirm.REMOTE SENSOR (THGR122NX)This product is shipped with a THGR122NX Thermo/Hygro Sensor that collects Temperature and Humiditydata.  Data can be collected from up to 3 sensors.Additional sensors sold separately.SETUP SENSOROpen the remote sensor battery compartment with asmall Phillips screwdriver.GETTING STARTEDBATTERIESBatteries are not supplied with this product. You will needto purchase 2 x UM-3 (AA) 1.5V alkaline batteries forthe main unit, and 2 x UM-4 (AAA) 1.5V alkaline batteriesfor the remote sensor.Insert the batteries before first use, matching the polarityas shown in the battery compartment. For best results,install batteries in the remote sensor before the mainunit. EN73. Place the sensor near the main unit. Press RESETon the sensor to initiate signal sending between thesensor and the main unit. The reception icon onthe main unit will blink for approximately 3 minuteswhile it is searching for the sensor. (Refer to theSearch for Sensor section for more information.)4. Close the remote sensor battery compartment.5. Secure the sensor in the desired location using thewall mount or table stand.1. Insert the batteries, matching the polarity as shownin the battery compartment.2. Set the channel. The switch is located in the batterycompartment.SWITCH OPTIONChannel Channel 1 - 3. If you are usingmore than one sensor, select adifferent channel for each sensor.For best results:•Insert the batteries and select the channel andtemperature unit before you mount the sensor.•Place the sensor out of direct sunlight andmoisture.•Do not place the sensor more than 30 meters(98 feet) from the main (indoor) unit.•Position the sensor so that it faces the main(indoor) unit, minimizing obstructions such asdoors, walls, and furniture.•Place the sensor in a location with a clear viewto the sky, away from metallic or electronicobjects.•Position the sensor close to the main unit duringcold winter months as below-freezingtemperatures may affect battery performanceand signal transmission.You may need to experiment with various locations toget the best results.DATA TRANSMISSIONData is sent from the sensor(s) every 40 seconds.The reception icon shown in the Temperature andHumidity Areas show the status.RMR613HGA lab test R3 2/18/04, 2:22 PM7
EN8SEARCH FOR SENSORTo  search for a sensor, press and hold MEM andCHANNEL for 2 seconds.If the sensor is still not found, check thebatteries, obstructions, and remote unit location.Signals from household devices such asdoorbells, electronic garage doors, and home securitysystems may cause temporary reception failure. This isnormal and does not affect general product performance.The reception will resume once the interference ends.NOTE--- shows in Temp/ Humidity AreasICON DESCRIPTIONMain unit is searching forsensors.At least 1 channel hasbeen found.Channel 1 is selected(number will changedepending on the sensoryou select)The selected sensor cannotbe found. Search for thesensor or check batteries.NOTECLOCKThis product can track the date and time for up to2 locations (Clock with Offset Hour). The US AtomicClock in Boulder, Colorado automatically updates thisinformation unless you disable the feature. The signalsare collected by the main unit when it is within 1500 km(932 miles) of a signal.Initial reception takes 2 - 10 minutes, and is initiatedwhen you first setup the unit, and whenever you pressRESET. Once complete, the reception icon will stopblinking. The icon is shown in the Clock Area.To force a manual search for Atomic Clock signals, pressand hold UP for 2 seconds. If no signal is found, checkthe batteries.If the Atomic Clock signal is received and thehour is incorrect, use the "hour offset" feature to adjustit to to the right value. EN9TURN ATOMIC CLOCK ON/OFFPerform this step if you cannot receive Atomic Clocksignals. Press and hold DOWN for 2 seconds. Then,manually set the clock following the “Set Clock”instructions (below).SET CLOCKYou only need to do this if you have disabled the AtomicClock feature (for example, if you are too far from orcannot receive a signal).1. Press and hold MODE for 2 seconds. The ClockArea will blink.2. Select the offset hour, 12 / 24 hour format, hour,minute, year, month, day, and language. Press UPor DOWN to change the setting. Press MODE toconfirm.The language options are (E) English,(F) French, (D) German, (I) Italian, and (S) Spanish.The signal icon indicates that the Atomic Clockfeature is ON. No icon means that it is OFFSWITCH CLOCK DISPLAYPress MODE to toggle between Clock with Seconds,Clock with Weekday and Calendar, and Clock with OffsetHour display.ALARMSThis product has 2 alarms: a Single Alarm and a WeekdayAlarm. The Single Alarm can be set to go off at a specifictime for a one-time event (for example, if you are nappingon Saturday). The Weekday Alarm will sound at the sametime Monday - Friday (but not on weekends).VIEW ALARM SETTINGSPress ALARM to display the Alarm settings you wish toview: Weekday   W or Single   S.SET ALARM1. Press ALARM to display the type of Alarm you wishto set: Weekday or Single.2. Press and hold ALARM for 2 seconds. The Alarmsettings will blink.3. Select the hour and minute. Press ALARM to silence it.The Weekday Alarm will sound at the same time thenext day provided the next day is Monday - Friday. TheSingle Alarm will not sound unless you manually activateit again.TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITYThis product can display the following information fromthe remote sensors:VIEW BAROMETER AREA•Current, minimum, and maximum temperaturesand relative humidity percentages.•Comfort levelData is collected and displayed every 40 seconds.SELECT TEMPERATURE UNITSlide the °C / °F switch into the desired location. Theswitch is located in the battery compartment. To end auto-scan, pressCHANNEL or MEM.If you use a sensor that collects onlytemperature data, humidity will not be shown.MINIMUM / MAXIMUM RECORDSPress MEM to toggle between current, maximum (MAX)and minimum (MIN) records for the selected sensor.
