User Manual RFID Sensor Tags Reader RFID‐ST‐RD‐R10 STRD‐01 iEi Integration Corp. 3F., No22, Zhongxing Rd., Xizhi Dist., New Taipei City 22161, Taiwan http://www.ieimobile.com Description This device is a RFID Sensor Tag reader for serial iEi sensor tags, it was designed for read out instant or near recently sensing data from each RFID sensor tags, which currently support temperature tag (ST‐01, ST‐06, ST‐07), ambient light tag (ST‐02), temperature & humidity tag (ST‐03), GPS tag (ST‐04) and vibration tag (ST‐05). E440 also implement a 107KB USB disk to store scanned tags data like tag ID, current data and maximum and minimum etc. Charge STRD‐01 could be charged by any qualified USB wall adaptor, full charge it will need around 7 hour, when under charging, the red LED turn on, after finish charge, the green LED will turn on and red LED turn off. (Flash is normal when it near full) Scan Tags Hold the reader to near above the tag around at 5 cm to 10 cm and then quick press the button and release it, the Reader will power on to scan once and then show the scanned content on the LCD and generate a buzzer beep, after 3 second, the Reader will turn off the LCD and record the content into the its internal disk then turn off itself. Disk Content Plug the Reader to a computer via a USB cable will see a USB disk appear ( E440(E:) ), click and open it, user may see a “RECORD.TXT” in the disk, it may be opened by MS NOTEPAD, MS WORD, or MS EXCEL that any kinds of text editor, and looks like Specifications Normal Used Range: Storage: Battery: RFID: Charger: IO Port: Water Proof: From ‐20°C to 40°C 107KB USB Disk ( around 500 tags ) 650mAh ISO 15693, 13.56MHz DC‐5V, 1A USB adaptor USB2.0, MSD support IP20 Warranty iEi warrants this product against defects in materials and/or workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE(1) YEAR from the date of purchase by the original purchaser’s Warranty Period. If a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period. iEi will opt to either 1) repair the defect at no charge, or 2) replace the product with a new product that is at least functionally equivalent to the original product. A replacement product or part assumes the remaining warranty of the original product. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item become iEi’s property. Obtaining Service: To obtain warranty service, please email iEi Limited Warranty Service. Include a description of the product that needs service and the nature of problem. A purchase receipt is required. All repairs and replacements must be authorized in advance. Service options, parts availability and response times will vary. You are responsible for delivery and the cost of delivery of the product or any parts to the authorized service center for replacement, per our instructions. Limits and Exclusions: This Limited Warranty applies only to products manufactured by iEi that can be identified by the “Quality Tech Innovations” trademark, trade name, or logo affixed to them or their packaging. This warranty does not apply to: a)damage caused by failure to follow instructions relating to product’s use or the installation of components; b)damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire, floods, earthquake or other external causes; c)damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not a representative of iEi; d)accessories used in conjunction with a covered product; e)a product or part that has been modified to alter functionality or capability; f)items intended to be periodically replaced by the purchaser during the normal life of the product including, without limitation, batteries or light bulbs; g)any product sold “as is” including, without limitation, floor demonstration models and refurbished items; or h)a product that is used commercially or for a commercial purpose. iEi SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT, OR ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, iEi DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATAION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, and FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND WARRANTIES AGAINST HIDDEN OR LATENT DEFECTS. IF iEi CANNOT LAWFULLY DISCLAIM STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, THEN TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL SUCH WARRANTIES SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY. Warnings Do not store in high temperature, damp condition, and direct sunlight. Do not attempt to disassemble, open, crush, bend or deform. Do not put or dispose of in fire or water. Do not attempt to dry with devices like hair dryer or microwave. Keep out of reach of small children. Avoid dropping this device, especially on hard surfaces. The usage duration and the amount of the stored data of the product are related to the capacity of the battery. This product does not guarantee a minimum number of hours of use and a minimum number of stored data. The sensor of the product is tested before shipped, but we can not absolutely guarantee the accuracy. The test record provided to the user is for reference only, and is not guaranteed to be used for science experiments or market transactions. A EEPROM is used as the storage device for the product. The capacity of the EEPROM will be gradually reduced over time. Therefore, we can not totally guarantee the record keeping. In other words, we are not responsible for the generating of bad records which is caused by the EEPROM being decayed over time. Caution Please contact your local recycling center for proper disposal of this device in accordance with local regulations.
