T-Max AP-900 Installation Instructions Rev 11/04 001-1000-0028 Thank you for purchasing a T-Max AP-900 wireless communication system! This system operates in the 902 MHz to 928 MHz Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) band as regulated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The following is included in you T-Max AP-900 installation kit: 1 – T-Max AP-900 Module 1 – RJ-11 Communication Cable 1 – Installation instructions. You will also need the following to install your T-Max AP-900 unit: 1. Assembly instructions for the tanning unit (tanning bed, booth, or front desk controller). 2. Mounting hardware as directed in the tanning unit assembly instructions. To install: 1. Connect the RJ-11 communication cable to the T-Max AP-900 module on the end opposite the antenna. 2. Connect the opposite end of the RJ-11 communication cable to the tanning unit as prescribed by the tanning unit manufacture’s assembly instructions. 3. Mount the T-Max AP-900 module with the antenna positioned in an upright orientation. Please note, the T-Max AP-900 module may need to be repositioned to obtain the best signal strength. Changing operating frequency: In rare circumstances the operating frequency may need to be adjusted in your T-Max AP-900 module due to other RF devices interfering with the T-Max communication system. This is easily accomplished, but ALL T-Max AP-900 modules within the salon MUST be adjusted for correct operation. For this reason, Applied Digital Technical Support must be contacted for instructions regarding this adjustment. If you have poor communications, or tanning units are producing E7 errors on the front desk controller, contact Applied Digital Technical Support for further assistance. FCC Compliance Information: This device contains no user serviceable parts and may only be repaired by authorized personnel. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Applied Digital, Inc. could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
