Product Manual SS1201 – Smart Switch ND7945-1 01/2014 Users Manual – SS1201 Smart Switch Page 1 www.idealindustries.com PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The Audacy SS1201 Smart Switch is a battery powered device specially designed to allow a building occupant to turn on, turn off, or dim light fixtures assigned to it. The product has a 25-year battery life design and will not require AC or DC line power, providing building owners and occupants placement flexibility. The Smart Switch wirelessly communicates with the light fixtures via the Audacy Smart Connector which resides at the fixture and also physically performs the corresponding control of the fixture(s). Wall-mount the SS1201 cradle in the desired location with the optional mounting screws(2). Cradle can be mounted directly to drywall of will fit over a standard switch plate. 2. Press the button located on the bottom side of the Smart Switch SS1201 to activate device. 3. When the green LED illuminates during switch actions, the SS1201 is active and transmitting radio frequency (RF) energy. Data is automatically included in the transmission and can be received by one of the Audacy line smart connectors and/or Gateway. 4. An optional screw can be used to lock the Smart Switch in the cradle. Subject to the limitations herein, IDEAL INDUSTRIES warrants that transmitters, when delivered by IDEAL INDUSTRIES or its authorized distributor, for one (1) year following the delivery date, will be free from defects in material and workmanship and will substantially conform to IDEAL INDUSTRIES publicly available specifications for such products in effect at the time of delivery. This limited warranty excludes: (i) engineering samples (which are provided “AS-IS” without warranty); (ii) bare circuit boards (iii) development products (such as boards and cables); (iv) design defects or errors known as “errata”; (v) transmitters procured through unauthorized third parties; and (vi) transmitters that have been subject to misuse, mishandling, accident, alteration, neglect, unauthorized repair or installation. Furthermore, this limited warranty shall not apply to the use of covered products in an application or environment that is not within IDEAL INDUSTRIES specifications or in the event of any act, error, neglect or default of Customer. If such IDEAL INDUSTRIES products fail to conform to the warranty above, the exclusive remedy of Customer and the sole liability of IDEAL INDUSTRIES shall be, at the option of IDEAL INDUSTRIES, to replace or repair the affected products, or to refund to Customer the price of the affected products. The availability of replacement products is subject to product discontinuance policies at IDEAL INDUSTRIES. Customer may not return products without first obtaining a customer return material authorization (RMA) number from IDEAL INDUSTRIES. THE WARRANTIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
