Display
1. Factory Settings
Volume should be set to 30-%40 of max volume
Source selection will be set to “Line-In.”
2. Power On
To power on device, Press POWER button.
LED in volume button will illuminate (white) when the device is powered on.
The device will power-up into whichever source mode it was powered down.
3. Power Off
To power off, press POWER button.
4. Sleep Mode
After 20 minutes of detecting no line-in or audio streaming signal from a Bluetooth connection, the
MW153/TW153 powers down. Bluetooth signal is disconnected.
When MW153/TW153 enters sleep mode, it plays power down tune
(ref MA3911MS) at volume level (%15 max volume).
Device is awoken from sleep mode the following ways: Pressing power button.
MW153/TW153 will attempt to reconnect to last BT device when awoken from sleep mode.
Device will not sleep if FM source is selected.
5. Adjust Volume
Increase volume by pressing VOLUME +
Decrease volume by pressing VOLUME –
6. Line-In Source
Press AUX button to switch to line-in source.
When in Line-In source, display audio visualizer.
Visualizer is a function of volume signal strength to left and right channels.
7. Bluetooth
Press BLUETOOTH button once to engage Bluetooth mode. Will connect to previously connected
devices if possible.
Press and hold BLUETOOTH button for 3 sec to make MW153/TW153 is discoverable to compatible
devices. Display: PAIR will repeatedly flash .5 sec on, .5 sec off.
Follow directions of applicable device to connect with MW153/TW153.
When paired, but not yet connected, display will indicate PAIRED, NOT CONNECTED.
Upon successful connection, display will read PAIRED, CONNECTED.
Upon termination of connection, display will read PAIRED, NOT CONNECTED.
Device will appear as “MW153” or “TW153” to compatible devices.
After successful pairing, the speaker will play Memorex power-up tune at volume level (%15 max
volume).
8. Bluetooth Connections
Bluetooth connection will not terminate when switch between Bluetooth and Line-In.
MW153/TW153 will send “pause” signal to streaming device when switching between Bluetooth and LineIn mode.
9. Returning Connections
When powered on and in Bluetooth source mode, MW153/TW153 will automatically connect to the most
recently paired device if it is available.
10. Headphone
When using headphones, audio does not stream from speakers.
11. Battery Indicator
Battery indicator will display battery power. Icon will blink 1 sec on, 1 sec off when battery level is at %10
12. Charging
MW153/TW153 is capable of providing 1 Amp of current through it’s USB port to be used for charging
external devices. However, it will not provide this function when running on battery power.
13. Bass Boost
Toggle BassBoost button on/off for extra bass boost. BB icon will illuminate.
14. FM Stereo
Press FM button. FM tuner becomes engaged. Tunes to previously tuned station. RADIO FM icon is
displayed on screen.
15. Presets
There are six preset stations available.
To set a preset in slot (one), tune to desired station. Press and hold PRESET button. After 1 second of
holding, preset (#1) Icon will begin flashing. Release button to set station.
To set stations 2-6, press and hold PRESET button until the desired preset begins to flash.
Pressing preset button once will tune to preset number 1. Press again to tune to number 2 etc. Preset
number will appear on display for 2 seconds, and then display tuned station.
