YourdevicefulfilscurrentapplicablePCIPTSsecurityrequirements.
Uponreceiptofyourterminalyoushouldcheckforsignsoftamperingoftheequipment.It
isstronglyadvisedthatthesechecksareperformedregularlyafterreceipt.Youshould
check,forexample:thatthekeypadisfirmlyinplace;thatthereisnoevidenceofunusual
wiresthathavebeenconnectedtoanyportsonyourterminalorassociatedequipment,the
chipcardreaderoranyotherpartofyourterminal.Suchcheckswouldprovidewarningof
anyunauthorisedmodificationstoyourterminal,andothersuspiciousbehaviourof
individualsthathaveaccesstoyourterminal.Yourterminaldetectsany“tamperedstate”.
Inthisstatetheterminalwillrepeatedlyflashthemessage”AlertIrruption!”andfurther
useoftheterminalwillnotbepossible.Ifyouobservethe“AlertIrruption!”message,you
shouldcontacttheterminalhelpdeskimmediately.
Youarestronglyadvisedtoensurethatprivilegedaccesstoyourterminalisonlygrantedto
