Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that product heat. AC adapter is used as disconnect device and it should remain readily operable during intended use. In order to disconnect the apparatus from the main power completely, the AC adapter should be disconnected form the main socket outlet completely. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table recommended by the manufacturer, or sold with the product. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped. This appliance shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing water and that no object filled with liquids such as vases shall be placed on the apparatus. Do not overload wall outlet. Use only power source as indicated. Use replacement part as specified by the manufacturer. 17. Upon completion of any service or repairs to this product, ask the service technician to perform safety checks. 18. Power Sources - This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company. For products intended to operate from battery power, or other sources, refer to the operating instruction. 19. Object and Liquid Entry - Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product. 20. Damage Requiring Service - Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions: a) When the power-supply cord or plug is damaged, b) If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into the product, c) If the product has been exposed to rain or water, d) If the product does not operate normally by following the operating instructions. Adjust only those controls that are covered by the operating instructions as an improper adjustment of other controls may result in damage and will often require extensive work by a qualified technician to restore the product to its normal operation. PRECAUTIONS BEFORE USE • • • Unpack all parts and remove protective material. Do not connect the AC Adapter to a wall outlet before checking the voltage and until all other connections have been made. If the unit is not to be used for a long period of time, make sure that all power sources are disconnected from the unit and the set the power switch off. MIC/GUITAR IN LED DISPLAY The LED display will show the following codes when that feature is active. bt AUX ONE ALL displays when you are in BLUETOOTH mode displays when you are in AUX mode displays when “Repeat One” is selected during playback displays when “Repeat ALL” is selected during playback POWER SOURCE An AC 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz power adapter with an output voltage of DC15V/2.4A is included with the unit. POWER CONNECTION 1. Insert the DC plug of the AC adapter into the DC IN Jack on the unit. 2. Plug the AC adapter plugs into an AC wall outlet. 3. Set the POWER SWITCH to ON. 4. The unit will turn ON (if battery is charged, just turn on the power switch directly). 5. Press and hold the MODE/STANDBY Button to put the unit in Standby mode (LED Display will light with one small amber dot to indicate the unit is in Standby Mode). Note: Please remove the AC adapter from the wall outlet and unplug it from the unit if the unit is not being used for extended periods of time. CAUTION: Only use the AC adapter included with the unit. Using a different adapter could damage the unit and void the warranty. CAUTION: The built-in rechargeable battery is not replaceable. Do not remove or replace it, do not throw in the trash or in a fire. Do not dispose device in standard garbage disposal sites. Dispose of device at available Battery Recycling Sites after fully discharging battery. Not doing so may violate local disposal laws and regulations. Please refer to local regulations for proper battery disposal. RADIO OPERATION 1. Switch the POWER SWITCH to ON to turn on the unit. Press and hold the MODE/STANDBY BUTTON if unit does not automatically turn on. 2. Press the MODE BUTTON repeatedly to select FM mode. The frequency will show on the LED DISPLAY. 3. Press the BUTTON or BUTTON repeatedly to manually tune to a desired station. 4. To automatically search for stations with strong signals, press and hold the BUTTON (Auto Program Stations). To set / recall the radio presets • To recall one of the preset stations already programmed, hold the BUTTON or BUTTON repeatedly until you reach the desired preset number/radio station. BLUETOOTH OPERATION 1. To operate Bluetooth mode, first turn on the unit. 2. Press the MODE BUTTON to select Bluetooth mode, or press the BLUETOOTH BUTTON, “bt” will appear on the LED DISPLAY and flash. Press the BLUETOOH BUTTON once, it will go into auto pairing mode and will search for the last paired device. Press and hold BLUETOOTH BUTTON, it will go into pairing mode to search for a new device. 3. Turn on the Bluetooth function of the device you want to link to and enable the search or scan function to find the unit. Select "ITSBO-520" from the device list on your external device. If you are pairing your computer to the speaker using Bluetooth, you may need to set the ITSBO-520 as your computer’s default sound device. 4. After successfully pairing the unit with your Bluetooth device, you will hear a tone that indicates the device is connected. If you want to pair the unit with a different Bluetooth device, disconnect the connection via the currently paired device. Then follow the above steps to connect a new device. • To begin playback, press the Play/Pause on your Bluetooth device or the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON on the unit. Press the button again to pause. BUTTON or BUTTON to select the Next or Previous track. • Press the • Slowly adjust both the volume control on the unit and/or your Bluetooth device until you reach a comfortable listening level. Notes: • Refer to the manual of your Bluetooth enabled device for Bluetooth operation since it may vary from model to model. • If your Bluetooth enabled device does not support A2DP profile, it will not play the music through the speaker, even if paired. • Remember to turn off the unit when you have finished listening. • Don't forget to switch off the power of your Bluetooth device as well. • The repeat function does not apply to the Bluetooth operation. USB PLAYER OPERATION The unit is compatible with, and will play MP3 files that are stored on a USB flash drive. 1. Press the POWER SWITCH to turn the unit ON. 2. Plug a USB flash drive into the USB port. The unit will automatically switch modes and begin reading the flash drive. 3. Press the PLAY/PAUSE to pause the USB, and press again to resume. 4. Press the BUTTON or BUTTON the player will go to next or previous track. 5. Press and hold the BUTTON or BUTTON, the player will play fast forward or rewind. 6. Tap the REPEAT BUTTON repeatedly during playback to select repeat ONE or repeat ALL. Repeat ONE/Repeat ALL will be indicated on the LED Display. AUX IN OPERATION You can play other music sources (iPod, MP3 or other digital audio players) through the unit by connecting the AUX-IN Jack to your external device’s audio out jack or headphone jack. 1. Plug one end of an audio cable (not included) into the AUX-IN Jack and the other end of the cable to the headphone jack of your digital audio player. 2. Turn on the unit and your external audio device. 3. Press the MODE BUTTON repeatedly to select the AUX-IN mode. “AUX” will light up the LED DISPLAY. 4. The volume level can now be controlled through the main unit. Operate all other functions through the external device as usual. Notes: • If you connect the unit to the Line-Out Jack of your external device, you only need to adjust the MASTER VOLUME CONTROL the unit. If you connect to the Headphone Jack of your external device, you may need to adjust both the volume controls of your external device and the unit to obtain the desirable listening level. • Remember to turn off the unit, and switch off the power when finished listening. MICROPHONE / PA (PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM) OPERATION This unit can also be used as a PA (Public Address System). 1. Plug the microphone or guitar (not included) into the MIC IN/GUITAR IN jack on the back of the unit. 2. Turn on the POWER SWITCH. 3. Turn on your microphone or guitar (not included) and start your performance. 4. Adjust the MIC/GUITAR VOLUME and ECHO CONTROL as necessary. Note: To prevent feedback or loud whistling from occurring, please be sure that the microphone is not held too close to the speakers on the unit. CARE AND MAINTENANCE • • • • Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust or extreme temperatures. Do not tamper with the internal components of the unit. Clean your unit with a dry cloth. Solvent or detergent should never be used. Keep your unit away from heating appliances and sources of electrical noise such as fluorescent lamps or motors. Note: This unit is not magnetically shielded and may cause color distortion on the screen of some TVs or video monitors. To avoid this, you may need to move the unit further away from the TV or monitor if unnatural color shifts or image distortion occurs.
