This pendant is designed to operate with the Linear 2400 Emergency Response Console. The
pendant is designed with a large RED button that allows a user to wirelessly trigger a
telephone call for help in cases of medical emergencies, accidents, etc. that happen at home.
A. Description of Pendant
1. Emergency Help Button
I Pressing the RED button will
activate the console to dial
the emergency line and send an
Emergency Alarm report.
0 Red light: Provides visual
Indication of transmission
B. Installing Single Transmitters
Follow the steps below for learning in pendant
1. Press Clear Button on Console For 5 Seconds
- 5 Beeps will Sound (= Transmitter ADD MODE)
2. Activate Transmitter
~ 1 Beep will Sound (= TX has been ADDED)
Console will revert to “Operate Mode"
Repeat Steps 1 & 2 for Additional Transmitters
C. Disable Supervisory Transmissions (Shipping mode)
~ To disable Supervisory Transmissions (shipping mode), press & hold the RED button on the pendant for
10 seconds. The pendant will illuminate RED to indicate that the feature has been disabled.
0 Any button press will reeenable the supervisory transmissions.
D. Operation
- Press the RED emergency help button to activate the console. Once activated the console will
dial the emergency line and send an Emergency Alarm report.

E. Low Battery Detection
The 315mhzTX Pendant provides Low Battery Detection and Supervision features
o The 315mhzTX Pendant has a battery pre-installed. The Pendants housing has been tactoly
sealed to protect against water intrusion.
0 When the battery voltage becomes low, a Low Battery signal will be sent to the console. The
“Status LED" on the main console will illuminate Solid YELLOW to notify the user of the
condition. Additionally when a low battery condition is present an alert will be sent to the
monitoring station.
o The console will transmit a new report every 24 hours as long as the condition exists.
0 The low battery pendant must be replaced with new a pendant. Discard the low battery
pendant.
F. Low Battery Detection
Transmitter Supervision
I Supervised transmitters regularly send status reports to the Console
and low battery reports when their batteries are low. When the Console
receives a low battery report, the TROUBLE indicator fl ashes. If the
Console fails to receive a status report from a transmitter for a period of
24 hours, the TROUBLE indicator will light. All supervisory conditions can
sound a local annunciation and be reported to the central station.
o Pressing “Clear Button" on console will clear indicators
G. Electrical Specifications

- Battery: CR2032, 3V 230mAh
- Battery life: Typical life expectancy of 5 yrs at an average use rate of one activation per day.
A It is advised to test the system weekly.
Instruct the end-user regarding the importance of periodically testing the transmitter and system.
