Battery Pack Care and Cautions:
Use only a fresh battery and battery pack of the required size and type.
If you do not plan to use the vehicle for several days, remove the battery from
the transmitter and the battery pack from the vehicle.
Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix the different type of batteries -
alkaline, standard (carbon zinc), or rechargeable (Nickel Cadium) or Ni-Mh
(Nickel Metal Hydride)
Never leave dead or weak batteries in the vehicle
Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly; do not bury or burn them.
Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries
Insert batteries with the correct polarity
Do not short the supply terminals
Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before being charged
Keep the package and this instruction manual since it contains important
information
Never allow the battery pack to become hot during charging - this will cause
permanent damage. Warm is okay - hot is not!
-Never leave a battery unattended while it is being charged.
-Never recharge a hot battery. Always allow it to cool before recharge.
-If the battery is not completely discharged before recharging, the charging
time may be reduced. Again, do not allow the battery to get hot!
-The AC adapter should be examined periodically to ensure that it is
undamaged. Failure to do this may result in the risk of fire, electric shock, or
injury to people. In the event that the adapter shows signs of abuse, it should
not be used until repaired by a certified technician.
-Install or replace the batteries by adult only.
- Do not overcharge the battery pack by letting it charge for too long.
-Rechargeable batteries are to be charged only under adult supervision.

The transmitter comes with a telescopic antenna, please insert the antenna to

recommend an alkaline battery. Follow these steps to install the battery in the
transmitter.

arrow shown on the compartment cover.

Battery for SPORTSMAN 800 ATV
Your SPORTSMAN 800 ATV requires a 7.2 volt rechargeable batter pack
(included). You must charge the battery pack with a battery charger before
you can use it to power your SPORTSMAN 800 ATV. To charge it, connect the
charger and battery first, then connect the charger to the nearest wall socket
giving AC 110-120V. The first charge cycle of this battery should be at least 4
hours. Once it is charged, the battery should feel luke warm. Then follow
these steps to put the battery pack in the SPORTSMAN 800 ATV.
Battery Charger Instructions:
CHARGER MUST BE OPERATED BY ADULTS ONLY.
Note: To remove, grasp the battery pack’s and the vehicle’s connectors,
press and hold down the latch on the vehicle’s power connector, then pull the
power connectors apart to disconnect them.
Plug charger into a standard household outlet (110/120Volt)
Join together the plug from the battery to the receptacle plug attached to the
charger wires. Be sure to get a firm fit by having the ridge snap into place
with the clip.
Allow the battery to charge for 4 hours for a complete and full charge.
Additional charging will not improve your battery’s output, and could
eventually damage the battery. Do not charge a battery if you notice it leaking
or see corrosion n any party of the battery.
A characteristic of Ni-Cd batteries is a loss of power quickly. A spare battery
is therefore recommended for longer play, and happier operators.
If the battery is hot after operation please wait until it is cool before
recharging. Attempting to recharge a battery in this condition can reduce the
life of the battery and may cause damage later.
The rechargeable battery must be charged with the provided battery charger.
The battery charger is not a toy. Dispose of old batteries properly. The battery
charger is to be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug enclosure
and other parts, in the event of such damage. the rechargeable batteries must
not be used with this battery charger until the damage has been repaired.
2. Unscrew with a Philips head screwdriver & Lift the cover and place the
battery pack in the compartment.
3. Attach the battery pack’s white plastic connector to the vehicle’s matching
connector. Do not force them together, they fit only one way. Close the cover
and and tighten the screws on the battery holder to avoid losing the battery
and cover during use.
