The HA01 ln-Wall Receptacle is a Z-Wave enabled device and is fully compatible with any HomeSettings
network and any Z-Wave enabled network. HomeSettings Z-Wave enabled devices displaying the Z-Wave logo
can also be used with other Z-Wave enabled products regardless of the manufacturer.
HorneSettings modules and controllers can also be used in other manufacturers Z- Wave enabled networks. Each
module in a HomeSettings network is desiggi ned to act as a repeater Repeaters will re—transmit the RF
signal to ensure that the signal is received y its intended destination by routing the signal around obstacles and
radio dead spots The network becomes stronger as more devices are added.

1. Remove wall plate and pull existing receptacle from wall.

3. Wire the HA01 - using the wire connectors provided. 3m: cmfi
0 Connect the HA01 ground wire to the ground wire in the wall box. If
there is no ground wire in your wall box. Consult an electrician.
- Connect the HA01 while wire to the neutral wire in the wall box.
- Connect the HA01 black wire to the Hot wire (the wire leading to the
circuit breaker or fuse box).
IMPORTANT WIRING lNFORMATION- When making wire connections . “it”.
twist and trim all wires to the proper length as indicated. 1/2" for 10.12. cm,
or 14 gauge. mm“
4 Check that all wire connections are secure.
5. Place all wires inside iunction box. Mount and align the HA01 (using
the included screws) and complete installation by attachan and securing
wall plate (not included).

Plug a lamp or appliance into the receptacle.
Turn the knob or switch on the lamp or appliance to the ON position.
To manually turn ON the HA01 In-Wali Receptacle, press and release the Program/ON/OFF button. The
green indicator LED will turn ON. and the lamp or appliance plugged into the HA01 In-Wall Receptacle will
also turn ON.
10. To manually turn OFF the HA01 In-WaII Receptacle, simply press and release the Program/ON/OFF button.
The green indicator will turn OFF and the lamp or appliance plugged into the HA01 In-Wall Receptacle will
also turn OFF.

PROGRAMMING AND RECOMMENDATIONS
1. After hardwiring the HA01 into the location where it will be used. it is ready to be programmed.
2. For best results do not relocate the HA01 alter it has already been included in the network. If you wish to
re-Iocate or move the HA01 from its location, first delete it from the network, then include it back to the
network after you have re-Iocated it.
3. Devices (such as lamps) should be plugged into the modules before adding modules to the network and
should be turned to the ON position,
4. For including modules and setting up your network, see the instructions in your Remote Control manual.
