Air Tune: 2-in-1 Plug-in Gooseneck HandsFree Car Kit
Air Tune provides a communication solution from Bluetooth technology (V1.2) through
FM transmission. Auto turn off iPod or MP3 music, on incoming and out going calls. Comes
with 3.5mm Jack for audio player/device to transmit the sound to your car stereo
individually or play your MP3 songs through Air Tune and connect it with your phone as well.
Don’t need to switch off the sound when receive calls, the Air Tune do it for the user with
safety automatically. When you receive the call, the music stops and lets you have the call
first; when the call ends the music will start automatically.
Air Tune also provides a USB port to connect your MP3 player, ex. iPod, Creative Zen,
SanDisk sansa, Microsoft Zune.. etc., via USB cable

About Air Tune
Air Tune is basically a mini radio station that broadcasts the conversation from your mobile
phone or the music from player to FM radio in your car. Air Tune comes with Bluetooth technology
and FM transmitting, allowing you to connect your mobile phone easily or comfortably without risk
while driving and with safety. Simply plug it into your car cigarette lighter and place the appropriate
USB cable

with your player to transmit music/sound and charge, or charge any device individually
via USB cable

. You can simply use if you need to change your player or mobile phone model, just
change the proper USB cable.

Setting up the Air Tune
1. Plug the Air Tune into your car’s cigarette lighter or 12V power outlet
2. Press the functional key on the left side of Air Tune once to turn Air Tune on, the tone goes up is
heard. Then LED of Air Tune flashes blue in every 3 seconds to be on standby.
3. To pair Air Tune with your mobile phone via Bluetooth.
To hold the functional key for 5 seconds, once the LED becomes fast flash in every 0.2
seconds and a “Do” sound is heard, which means Air Tune is ready for pairing, then
release the key. Active the Bluetooth function of your mobile phone to search for Air Tune,
signalled “BTF-01”. When the device is found, select this item then press PIN code “1234”
for connection.
Once the mobile phone connects with BTF-01 well, the left side of FM frequency displayed
in LCD shows “ ” Car Kit symbol.

4. While the LED indicator now turns back to flash blue in every 3 seconds, Air Tune and mobile
phone are connected well and into standby mode. Now you start using this car kit with your
mobile phone.
5. Turn on your car radio and switch to FM channel, adjust the radio frequency channel to empty or
un-used frequency. Now the radio output as “zzz” sound or no sound.
6. The LCD of Air Tune automatically turns on while Air Tune is being powered on. The LCD will
then display 88.1MHz as the first frequency. In the future, it will display the last used channel.
7. When the radio frequency channel of Air Tune and the radio are same, the “zzz” sound will stop.
8. Plug the audio cable into Air Tune and your mobile phone or audio player, ex. SonyEricsson’s
walkman series(without A2DP), Nokia MP3 mobile(without A2DP), iPod, Zune, sansa, Zen, CD
player,…etc.., then play the music and the LCD shows symbol on the right side of FM
frequency displayed.. The music will come out from car stereo.
9. Be sure to manage your music’s volume, bass and treble settings using your car stereo’s
controls to get the best sound quality with Air Tune.
10. While calling comes or dials, Air Tune broadcasts your mobile phone sound to the FM radio in
your car. If your mobile phone has A2DP support, after your mobile phone complete the
connection with Air Tune via Bluetooth technology, then the music in your mobile phone can
come out from car boom as well.
11. Press the functional key on the left side of Air Tune once to turn Air Tune off, the tone goes
down is heard. Then LED becomes off, too.
12. Under the following situations, you may need to repeat the above instruction step by step:
a. For the first time connection
b. After you power-off your cell phone
c. After any other cell phone connects with Air Tune.
13. Be sure to enable the Auto-answering mode of your mobile phone before using this product.
Once your mobile phone has been set, auto-answering function shall work after 1~4 rings when
phone calls come in. If you don’t enable the Auto-answering function, the answer key needs to
be pressed to answer your call.

Connecting Air Tune to your mobile phone, then listen other audio player
music via FM transmitter
1. Repeat the steps above to complete the Bluetooth connection between your mobile phone and
Air tune.
2. Repeat the steps (5~7) above to set up your car radio and Air Tune for FM transmitting.
3. Plug the audio cable into Air Tune with your audio player or mobile phone, ex. iPod, Zune,
sansa, Zen, CD player, SonyEricsson’s walkman series, Nokia MP3 mobile…etc..
OR
4. Then play, the music/audio will come out from your car boom. Once the calling comes or the
mobile phone is in use, Air Tune switches off the sound automatically, then the call ends
the music will start automatically.
5. Alternatively, by using USB cable to transmit the music/audio from your player or mobile phone
to FM radio station, meanwhile, Air Tune charges the battery of your playback via this USB
cable.
OR

Use Air Tune as a FM transmitter individually
1. Press the functional key on the left side of Air Tune once to turn Air Tune on.
2. Repeat the steps (5~7) above to set up your car radio and Air Tune for FM transmitting.
3. Plug the audio cable into Air Tune and your player or plug USB cable steps above for FM
transmitting, please change the mode to “L-IN’ then the LCD shows symbol on the right side
of FM frequency displayed.
4. Then play, the music/audio will come out from your car boom.
5. Air Tune automatically shuts itself off when not in use for 1 minute or the absence of a signal at
the audio input in the minute.

Use Air Tune to charge your electrical device additionally
1. The USB output can do power supply once Air Tune plugs into car cigarette lighter.
2. Plug the appropriate USB cable for your personal electrical device, ex. mobile phone, digital
camera, PDA, GPS…etc., into Air Tune to charge.
3. Unplug Air Tune when it’s not in use or get off the car.

Trouble-shooting
9 Make sure the connections and wires are tight and correct.
9 Make sure your cigarette lighter jack is working properly
9 Make sure the frequency you’ve turned to is empty and not near a strong station.
9 Air Tune will tune to any radio frequency, from 88.1 to 107.9, so try the entire spectrum
until you find an unoccupied channel.
9 To control the overall volume of your music or audio while using the Air Tune, please
use the car radio’s volume control first, because not all the players or mobile phones
support the volume control from its connector or Bluetooth technology.
9 When playing music or talking, there seems to be a lot of static in the sound. First,
check that you have a clear frequency. Unplug Air Tune to see if there might be a radio
station interfering. If so, find another clearer station.
9 While the music or voice sounds overdriven and distorted. Be sure that the FM station
you’re using is still unoccupied as you drive through different areas, FM signals can
intrude on an un-used frequency.
9 Make sure the mobile phone with A2DP support before listening your mobile phone
music through Air Tune.
Notice of Usage
9 This product should be kept dry at all times and only used in car.
9 Keep out of direct sunlight or high temperature environments.
9 Unplug Air Tune when it’s not in use.
9 Keep your Air Tune away from the mobile phone for certain extent of distance. The most
suggested distance is at least 50cm.
9 For mobile phones with the function of voice dialling, the voice dialling function may work
properly as long the voice recognition is not intruded by the surrounding noise.
Frequency range:
The frequency range (88.1 MHz~107.9MHz) is suitable for Germany, United Kingdom.
