Make your mobile phone visible for BlueSynergy – please check your mobile phone user guide for detailed instructions. Ensure that the Bluetooth function is activated on your mobile phone and visible to other devices. This usually involves going to a Setup , Connect or Bluetooth menu on your mobile phone and selecting the option to Discover or Add a Bluetooth device. Then select the Next on the BlueSynergy and it will find your mobile phone. Please note that you may also see some other Bluetooth devices that are within working range of the BlueSynergy. Select the mobile phone that you want the BlueSynergy to pair with and choose Pair. Accept pairing your mobile phone by selecting YES or OK on your mobile phone, if the mobile phone asks for a passkey or PIN, enter “0000” (4 zeros). Your mobile phone should confirm that the pairing procedure has finished. Confirm with YES if your mobile phone asks to allow the BlueSynergy profiles — functions (such as hands-free, DUN, IrMC, SyncML, PBA, etc.). The BlueSynergy will warn you about functions that your mobile phone doesn‘t support via Bluetooth. Bluetooth: ON VISIBLE BlueSynergy BlueSynergy Accept Enter your connection? If the mobile phone supports contact synchronization, you’ll see all of its contacts in the BlueSynergy contact list. They’re marked with a mobile phone icon. You cannot add, edit or delete them using the BlueSynergy: This is only possible using the mobile phone. Ꮀ Ꮀ Internal contacts If your mobile phone doesn’t support contact synchronization, you won’t be able to see any of its contacts in the BlueSynergy. But there’s an internal contact list available for you in the BlueSynergy. BTP-06.L.ENG.MAN.User_manual.03 -8- You can add, edit or delete its contacts using the BlueSynergy or JabloTool (synchronization with MS Outlook is available), but you will not see them in your mobile phone. Internal contacts are marked with a dual phone icon. This internal list is by default disabled for mobile phones supporting contact synchronization (it can be enabled in Menu > Settings > Service > Internal contacts). If there’s no mobile phone connected to the BlueSynergy, only internal contacts are available. The BlueSynergy can store up to 500 contacts for each paired mobile phone and additional 500 in the internal list. Each contact includes the following items: First and last name Up to 3 phone numbers (mobile, office and home number) Ring tone for this contact Ꮀ Ꮀ Search contacts: Use the QWERTY keyboard and simply start to type the last name of the contact you want to find. The BlueSynergy starts to update the contacts (contacts are copied from your mobile phone to the internal memory of the BlueSynergy). This can take some time, depending of the type of synchronization your mobile phone supports. The synchronization process is indicated by an icon on the LCD. Please note that the BlueSynergy only READS data from your mobile phone’s memory. To prevent any possible unwanted changes in your mobile phone, the BlueSynergy never writes anything into your mobile phone‘s memory. To avoid excessive discharging of your mobile phone battery, automatic synchronization will not be run more than once per hour. If you wish to apply the most recent changes in your mobile phone contacts to the BlueSynergy, go to the contact list and selectto activate synchronization manually. Ꮀ Ꮀ Call waiting The call waiting function indicates an incoming call even when another call is in progress. Please check first that the call waiting function is activated on your mobile phone – see your mobile phone manual for detailed instructions. BTP-06.L.ENG.MAN.User_manual.03 - 10 - If a new incoming call is indicated, press to answer the waiting call. You can also select Options and the Switch function by using the selection key. Please note that only one mobile phone can be actively operated with BlueSynergy at the same time. Use Options to open context menu where you can enable/disable power saving mode for each phone or delete a phone from the list. BTP-06.L.ENG.MAN.User_manual.03 - 11 - 4.4 Dialing settings Please note that dialing settings are not available for BlueSynergy BTP-06B. Ꮀ Ꮀ Rules for numbers Select Menu > Settings > Dialing > Rules for numbers to browse rules. Rules define which line will be used to dial a number for particular phone number or group of phone numbers. Each rule contains a mask and a selected line. Mask is a string which describes how a number should look like. When dialing a phone number, BlueSynergy compares it with the mask. If it matches, BlueSynergy uses line defined in the rule to dial the number. The mask contains digits and wildcard characters ? or *(eg. 7?? or 555*). Wildcard character ? represents one unspecified digit. If the mask is 12? then all of numbers 120, 121 or 125 will match with the mask. If the mask is 7?? then all numbers starting with 7 and being three digits long will match with the mask. Wildcard character * represents group of digits with unspecified number of digits. If the mask is 12* then all of numbers 123, 1246, 12345 or 12 will match with the mask. If a mask is only * then all numbers will match with the mask. Warning: You can use either ? or * in the mask, not both. * is only allowed to be the most right character in the mask. Mask 1*2 is not allowed. When there are more rules defined, BlueSynergy goes through them starting with the top one. BlueSynergy removes country code (eg. +420) from dialed numbers before they are compared with the rules. Thus you don’t need to care if you have in your phonebook numbers with or without country code. Ꮀ Ꮀ Rules for contacts Use Menu > Settings > Dialing > Rules for contacts to choose preferred line for each type of contact number (home / business / mobile). Choose Always ask, if you do not want to specify rule for particular type of contacts. When dialing a number, BlueSynergy first checks Rules for numbers. If no match is found, then Rules for contacts are applied. Ꮀ Ꮀ Country setting Use Menu > Settings > Dialing > Country setting to configure your BlueSynergy for the landline network in your country. Press LEFT or RIGHT ARROW to browse through countries or press first letter of your country to skip directly to it. Moreover appropriate country code is automatically selected (see Rules for numbers for details). Ꮀ Ꮀ Outside line prefix Use Menu > Settings > Dialing > Outside line prefix to configure the digits that have to be dialed to reach an outside line. This is commonly used to insert an ‚0‘ or ‚1‘ before the phone number when dialed on a private phone system, such as in a hotel or a place of business. BlueSynergy will automatically add this prefix to all numbers longer than 6 digits. Please note that this prefix is only used for landline calls. 4.5 Other settings Use Menu > Settings > Phone to configure settings like date & time, current language or LCD parameters. Use LCD settings dialogue to adjust contrast and backlight intensity of the LCD. Use UP and DOWN ARROW to select a setting and LEFT and RIGHT ARROW to change value. Use Menu > Settings > Sound to configure ring and message alerts, volume levels during a call and key tones. Use Menu > Settings > Service to access special service functions. This menu allows you to get firmware and hardware version, enter service code, reset all settings to factory defaults or change BlueSynergy’s Bluetooth name (which is shown in connected mobile phone). BTP-06.L.ENG.MAN.User_manual.03 - 12 - 5. Configuration via PC with JabloTool Do not connect the BlueSynergy to the USB on your computer until you have finished installing the JabloTool software from the CD!
