What’s New:
This software upgrade will:

1. Improve Soundbar HDMI and eARC/ ARC connectivity with TV.
2. Improve Bluetooth connectivity for mobile devices.
3. Improve LED Display messages.
4. Bug fix to remove detachable speaker’s battery level checking due to
imprecise readings.

How to Manually upgrade my soundbar firmware version
You can download the latest software version by Clicking here. Use the bin file after you have
unzipped it:
•
JBL_BAR_9_1.bin
1.

Prepare one empty USB thumb drive and create a new folder (named “UPG”) in the
root directory, then copy the bin file to the new UPG folder.

2.

Please mount the two detachable speakers onto the Soundbar.

3.

Please insert the USB thumb drive to the Soundbar USB port on its rear panel and longpress the Soundbar buttons: [POWER] and [VOL- ] for 10 seconds to start the software
upgrade.

4.

You will now see “UPDATING” on the Soundbar front display.

5.

Wait for the software upgrading to complete. The unit will reboot and go back to
standby.

6.

After successful upgrading, to check the software version by long-pressing the main
Soundbar unit [VOL- ] and [SOURCE] buttons, the Soundbar should be upgraded to
version “ver. 21.13.11.80”

Note:
•

If your Soundbar is connected to the internet, its software will be automatically upgraded
overnight when it is not in used.
