The woofer performance has been optimized for low-frequency extension and minimum distortion. ® More SPL • In addition to better sound quality, the new woofer design also offers far higher SPL and better suspension symmetry than the previous generaton. On the 6,5" component sytem, X max is now up to 5mm one-way vs. 3mm on previous models. Higher Efficiency • Like current GTO models these speakers feature reduced impedance of 2 ohms for increased efficiency, while maintaining full compatibility with 4-ohm amplifier output stages, as on standard head units. Tweeter Level Control • Most models feature a switch to reduce tweeter output level, to match personal listening preference, or different mounting locations (not on P462). UniPivot Rotating Tweeter • 130mm and 165mm coaxial models feature a tweeter that is mounted on a 15° angle and can be rotated nearly 360° to point at the listening position, for better high-frequency response. TM Outboard Crossover Networks • All Power speakers come with external crossovers. The component system networks feature in-line polypropylene caps and low-insertion-loss air-core inductors. The boxes are tied to the speaker for easy installation. Oversized Direct-Connect terminals ensure perfect connectivity for bare speaker wires. Plus One Honeycomb-Laminate (HCL ) Woofer Cones • This material combines extreme stiffness with low weight, to optimize efficiency and cone distortion. ® TM Harman Consumer Group, Inc.
