User ’s Manual HardKey/BL Hardware Operating Explanation 1, Product Specification This product complies with USB V1.l (UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS SPECIFICATION VERSION 1.1) and support PLUG & PLAY. 2. OS 3) Hardware: This product is compatible to IBM PC with CPU Pentium 11 above, RAM 32 MB above and USB Port complying with USB Vl.1. b) OS: WINDOWS98/SE/ME or above. USB Controller of System Device Manager is in good order. 3. Purpose This product should be used with corresponding software. It is mainly used for the encryption of private documents and infomiation. When you use this product, please insert HARDKEY/BL Hardware (KEY for short) into USB PORT directly and the KEY Driver should be preinstalled into the computer. And then the product can be operated with corresponding software. 4. Installation of Hardware Device Driver. There exist two ways of installation. at) Insert the KEY into USB PORT directly and the system will auto-check the new Hardware. After you specify and confirm the path for HkleNF in the pop-up dialogue box, the system will execute auto-installation. b) First. do not insert KEY. Find out the HkaNF file in the set-up CD, right click, and select INSTALL in the pop-up menu. After installation, please insert the KEY. 5. Uninstall of Hardware Device Driver. As for the PLUG & PLAY devices, the Driver will load only after the connection to equipment so to the general customers. there has no need of uninstall for Driver. If you have to uninstall the Driver. please follow the procedures below. 3) Restart your computer. and during the start-up, please press F8. It appears the start-up menu, and please select Safe Mode. b) Enter into CONTROL PANEL, start SYSTEM, select DEVICE MANAGER, and you can find out the Device name, HardKey/BL Key. in DEVICE MANAGER. and delete it. e) If you have deleted the Driver, the Driver should be reinstalled before your next use of Key. 6. Federal Communication Commission Interference Statement This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device. pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates. uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instmctions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications, However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception. which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on. the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of the following measures: - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. - Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. — Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/I'V technician for help. Note: The manufacturer is not responsible for and radio or TV interference caused by unauthorized modifications to this equipment.
