BATTERY INSTALLATION FOR THE HAND HELD UNIT:
1. Unscrew the
battery
compartment door
with a small Philip‘s
screwdriver. (Fig. 4)
2. Replace 3x1,5V (AAA-LR03)
Alkaline batteries as shown in
Fig. 5
3. Replace the battery compartment door and slide the switch from "OFF/DEMO"
to the “ON" position.
Hayley's voice will come out of the Hand Held Unit, "Let's play Hide-N-Seek -
Listen To My Clue .
4. The "TRY ME" button on the front will be disabled once the unit is in the
"ON“ position,
HOW TO PLAY WITH HAYLEY:
1. Twist the legs of Hayley so that she is in a sitting position. (Fig. 6)
2. Hide Hayley anywhere you want making sure she is in an upright sitting
position.
3. The child (Seeker) will get messages from Hayley through the Hand Held
Unit. Hayley will tease the seeker with sayings like: "l Love Playing With You!"
& "Hurry, Come Find Mel"...
4. The seeker can call out to Hayley by pressing
the "PLAY" button once and Hayley will
respond as the seeker looks for her. (Fig. 7)
5. Hayley knows just where the seeker is, and is
in constant communication with the seeker. If
the seeker is away, Hayley will give clues like:
“You Looks Like A Popsicle"... it the seeker is
very close, Hayley will give clues like: "I'm Not
That Far, Look I'm Waving At You“...
6. The LED indicators on the front of the Hand
Held Unit will also indicate if the seeker is far
away from Hayley or not:
Blue - The seeker is at a far distance
Yellow - The seeker is getting close but is at a medium distance
Red - The seeker is very close
7. When the red indicator lights up, the seeker knows they are very close.
Continue to search for Hayley and when you find her she will say: “Wow You Did
A Great Jobl Let's Play Again!"...
8. Repeat step 1-7 to play again.
If the red indicator does not light up when the Hand Held Unit is very close to
Hayley, interference may be occurring. Try to move Hayley to some other
locations and try again. Also, Hayley‘s batteries could be weak, please replace all
batteries by an adult.
FINISHED PLAYING WITH HAYLEY:
1. Slide the ON/OFF switch On the back of Hand Held Unit 10 the "OFF/DEMO"
position.
2. Open the fastener strip on the back of Hayley and slide the ON/OFF switch to
the "OFF“ position.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. The doll itself does not talk. Hayley‘s voice comes out of the Hand Held Unit
only.
2. You have to turn off the powerof the Hand Held Unit AND the module inside
Hayley when you finished playing with Hayley, or the batteries will be drained
quickly.
3. Do not Hide Hayley inside any metallic containers (e.g. Refrigerator or Oven) or
near large metallic objects. as it will affect the signals transmitted from Hayley.
4. If there is no response from the Hand Held Unit even when the seeker has
pressed the "PLAY" button, check if the power switch in the back is in the "ON"
nositinn
5. ll the blue indicator does not change to yellow or red even the seeker has
moved closer to Hayley, check itthe power switch in the back of Hayley is in the
"ON“ position.
6. When the Hand Held Unit is in the “OFF/DEMO" mode, the 'TRY ME" button
on the front will be activated. Once the "TRY ME" button is pressed, a demo
sequence will be triggered. The unit will go into sleeping mode when the
sequence completed, and will not be reactivated until the "TRY ME" button is
pressed again.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS-
. Nun-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged iii removablel
Rechargeable batteiies are only to be charged under adult supervision iii removable).
Different typesorbatteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed.
. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
~ Batteries are to be inserted mm the correct polarity
. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
- The supply terminals are not to be shoncircuited.
Check and redace batteries periodically to prevent corrosion.

Hayley requires 4x1 .5V (AAA-LRO3) Alkaline batteries, and the
Hand Held Unit requires 3x1 .5V (AAA-LR03) Alkaline batteries.
1. Open the fastener strip on the back of Hayley and
open the battery (ompartment door with a small
Philip's screwdriver, (Fig. 1)
2, Install 4x1.5V (AAAaLRDS) Alkaline batteries into
the battery compartment as shown in Fig. 2
3. Replace the battery compartment door and slide
the ON/OFF switch to the ‘O ' position. The LED
will light up to indicate the circuit is activated.

4. Close the fastener strip.
