or detective batteries are the most common cause of
problems encountered.

Installing the Batteries
Note: Batteries should always be installed by an adult.
0 Use a Phillips screwdriver to open the battery
compartment door located on the back oi the unit
6 Insert 4 new LRAA batteries into each Walkie Talkie
wlth + and » terminals as indrcated on the
compartment door.
9 Replace the compartment door and tighten the
screw With a Phillips screwdriver Do not
overrtighten the screw.
For the Best Possible Performance
' We recommend the use of alkaline batteries tor longer lite
- Do not mix old and new batteries
- Do not mix alkaline. standard (carbon-zinc) or
rechargeable (nickel—cadmium) batteries,
Batteries are to be inserted with correct polarity
Remove exhausted batteries lrom the unit
Do not attempt to recharge nonvrechargeabte batteries.
Remove the rechargeable batteries trom the Lll'iti before
charging.
The supply terminals are not to be St'IOrt'CerUlted
- Batteries should be removed it the item Will not be
used tor an extended period of time, such as a month
or longer, to prevent battery leakage or damage.
- Rechargeable batteries should only be charged under
adult supen/ision.
. Only batteries ot the same or equivalent type as
recommended are to be used
Turning Power On ff
- Slide the 0n/Off Button to the left to activate the
Walkie Talkies
- Both Walkie Taikies must be turned on in order to
send and receive messages.
. Slide the On/Ofl Button to the right to shut off the
Walkie Talkies
Sending Voice Messages
Press and hold the Talk Button while speaking into
the Microphone on the back ot the unit
You Should Know
For clear transmlsslon, keep the Mlcrophone
approximately two inches from your mouth.
Receiving Messages
- Both Walkie Talkies must be turned on in order to
send and receive messages.
- Messages cannot be received while your Talk
Button is being pressed,
0 Messages can be heard through the Speaker on the
back of the unit.

Playing Walkie Talkie Games
Walkie Talkies can be used tor all kinds of tun games and
activities. Here are two suggestions
Hide and Seek
Just like regular Hide and Seek. but With a twist: the “Hider"
can send clues to the “Seeker" using the Walkle Talkies.
Mystery Sounds
Can you recognize the mystery sound? One kld sends
a sound over the Walkie Talkies, while another tries to
guess What the sound Is, Examples can include an
animal, song. TV show, or anything else’
Using the Antenna Clip
To keep the Walkie Talkies securely with you on the go,
bend the antenna and place through belt loop or
backpack loop. etc . then push antenna tip through the
clip located on the back ot the Walkie Talkie. To release,
simply press antenna tip back through clip.
Bending the antenna wlll not harm the antenna
Ma ntenance
ll is imponant to keep the Walkie Talkles as dry and clean
as possible. You may clean the cabinet with a cloth or
sponge meistened With mild soap and water Do not
attempt to use strong cleansers or solvents. as they may
cause damage.

Troubleshooting
If one or both of the Walkie Talkies do not work, this may
indicate that the batteries are weak. Insert 4 new LR44
batteries into each unit
It the signal range of the Walkie Talkies decreases notably.
this may again be an indication that the batteries are
Weak. insert 4 new LR/M batteries into each unit.
Please keep ll’l mind that this product does not transmit
well through obstacles such as trees, buildings, and metal
structures
It there is a sizable increase in statlc, it may be due to the
proximrty of electric motors, fluorescent lights. power
lines. or other signalrdisrupting objects You may have
to change your location.
It problems persist, DO NOT ATI'EM PT T0 REPAIR
