centeri The RoomGroove is a wireless transceiver utilizing Wireless
KlipschCast‘M Technology to transmit and receive CD'QUEN‘] audio
signals to and lrorn other KIipschCast components The RoomGroove
features an iPod® dock and auxiliary input tor connecting your
favorite components and enjoying them locally or transmitting them
throughout your home
The hoomGroove is a true two-way stereo sound system incorporating
two long-throw wooters and two li/IicroTractrix'M Horn»|oaded tweeters
in a ported enclosure, This system provides the accuracy, detail and
output that will bring your music to life as only Kllosch can.
Unpack the Box
Unpack the entire contents or the shipping box and make sure you
have the lollowng items.

Remote Control
Power Supply niversal Well Inserts
Place the RoomGroove on a sturdy surtace. Plug the power cord into
the rear of the RoomGroove and then into a standard wall outlet The
HoomGroove is now ready to listen to any source being transmitted
with wireless KlipschCast Technology,
Docking and Listening to an iPod
The RoomGroove is intelligently designed to easily accommodate
all ii’odsi Touching the Klipsch logo on the trout oi the RoomGroove
wrll reveal the retractable iPod dock. The nournGt‘oove must be
powered on tor the drawer to open and Close When the dock is
extended touching the dock again will cause it to retract The dock
will not move when an iPod is docked The dock will automatically
retract when no iPod is present and the RoomGroove is in standby
mode lthe power LED will be red]

lnsciis Several inserts are supplied With your RottmGi'oove
system it your iPod came with an insert. it can also he used in the

seiect the appropriate well insert and place it in the universal well
as shown in the diagram Now you are ready to docli your iPod.
While your iPod is docked, its battery is charging (until it is luily
chargedl

RoomGroove or the remote until the “Listen" light hecomes blue
and you hear the iPod. The iPod can he directly accessed by
pressing the “iPod” button on the RoomGroove's remote control
Connecting an Auxiliary Source
The RoomGroove oliers a 3 5mm stereo auxiliary input on the
rear of the device To connect an auxrliary device simply ping the
audio output otthe device into the “Aux input” on the rear of the
Rooanirooye Vou must use a 3 5mm stereo cahle.

To listen to the auxiliary source, press the “Listen“ button on
the RnomGroove or the remote until the “Listen" light becomes

Transmitting Audio from the RoomGroove
The RooinGroove is designed to allow you to transmit the iPod
or the auxilrary souice so that it can he received and played by
other KlinschCast components To transmit trom the RoomGroove
simply select the souice you Wish to transmit by picssing lhe
“Listen“ button or the desrred source on the remote (iPod or Aux)
and then press the “Transmit” button The selected source is now
being transmitted throughout your home and is available to other
Kiioschcaslrenableu products

the first finban/am/E and occupy that wrre/ess channel if you
wish to configure your wireless mum-roam system to allow two

Listening to Other KlipschCast Devices with Your
RoomGroove
The RoomGroove is designed to allow you to listen to sources
connected to, or integrated into other KlipschUast components
such as another hoomGroove or the 68700 DVD Entertainment
System.
To listen to a source being transmitted by another KlipschCast
device, simply press the “Lrsten” button to access the transmitted
source The “Listen" light becomes red (or purple tor a second
wireless source) when a Wireless source is received and played. A
trashing color indicates no source is available on that channel
Sources and Colors of the “Listen" Light
Blue always indicates a local source Red and purple indicate
Wireless channels lithe color is flashing, the source or Wireless
channel is not available
For systems transmitting from a 08,700 system
and RoomGroove
Local source (iPod or Aux) : blue

Transmitting Audio from Two RoomGtaoves
in systems not incorporating a (387700 system (or ii the cinema
system in not intended to be part oi the Wireless mtilti—room
system). two Roomcrooves can transmit simultaneously To enable

code from 5 to 9 WI” allow a second RoomGrouve to occupy the
Wireless channel which was previously aSSlQflEd to the 637700

from a third and control which wireless channel will be used for the
new transmission you must lirst select the broadcast you Wish to
terminate hy pressing the “Listen" button until that source is heard.
Then press transmit and the new source wrll occupy that wireless
channel and stop the transmission oi the other source You should
now hear the new source in all the locations in which the previous
source Was playing The new source should now be available to all
active listeners.

Setting the Home Code
The home code dial on the rear oi your RoomGroove allows you
to select a code specific to all of your K|lpSDhCaSI components
to avoid inteiterence trom neighboring systems. The home code
numbers range from 0 to 9 With 0 set as the detault All ol your
KlipschCast components will initially be set to 0 and allow one
wireless channel to broadcast audio train a Cinema system and
the second Wireless channel to broadcast wireless audio irorn a
RoomGroove. The home code number should only be changed toi
one of two reasons
1) There is interlerence Train a nelghhoring system 7 it a
neighboring system in interierlng With yourWireless system,
simply change all KlipschCaSt components to another home code
Kiipschcast components Will only transmit and receive audio from
components on the some home code Home codes 0 through 4
can be used for systems transmitting audio irom a cinema system
and a RoomGroove [home codes 5 through 9 are reserved tor
systems transmltting lrom two separate RoomGrooves and no
cinema system)
2) ‘rou Wish to transmit audio tiom two RoomGiooves (not a
cinema system) — it you Wrsh to transmit audio horn two separate
RoomGrooves and not a cinema system, simply choose a home
code lrorn 5 to 9 and change all Klipschcast components to that
home code. KlioschCast components Wilt only transmit and receive
audio trcni components on the same home code
Once the home cone has been changed, you mustdisconnect and
reconnect the power cord lrom the wall outlet torthe change to be
made This Will change the home code and allow the component to
talk to other KlipschCast components set to the some home code

to the entire home code in ordcr lnr transmissions to {one place

Aux 1 Accesses audio from the device connected to the cinerra system‘s Aux t
inpot connected to the Klipscl‘Cast network. The cevice must be
delivering audio to the cinema system to be heard on the RoomGroove
Aux 2 Accesses audio lrorn the device connected to the Ul' eina system‘s Aux 2
inptt connected to the Klipschast network The device must do

Changing the Remote Control Battery

only With a 3—volt CR2025 lithium battery

Cable Management System and Mounting the
Power Supply
The RoomGroove‘s power supply has an integrated cable
management system Excess cable length can be wrapped around
the powei supply anti secured with the rubber straps as shown in
the diagram

on the rear oi the RoomGroove To mount the power supply simply
posnion the hooks on the side of ttte oower supply into the slots uit
