Use this mode Smart Capture Video For General picture taking—it offers excellent image quality and ease of use. Capturing video with sound. NOTE: Sound cannot be played on the camera. The current flash mode is shown on the LCD. Flash modes Auto Flash fires When the lighting conditions require it. Fill (Flash On) Every time you take a picture, regardless of the lighting conditions. Use when the subject is in shadow or is “backlit” (when the light is behind the subject). In low light, hold the camera steady or use a tripod. A preflash fires, shrinking the eye pupil, before the picture is taken. Red Eye To choose a red eye setting, see the Setup tab. Off Preflash Digital A preflash does not fire; the camera corrects red eye. Battery life is short â– Make sure the correct battery type is installed. â– Wipe the contacts with a clean, dry cloth before inserting a battery in the camera. â– Insert a new or charged battery (see page 1).
