SUPPLEMENT _c)2000 Lennox industries -_puTeC h n i cal blications inc. Dallas, Texas Litho U.S.A. SUPPLEMENT FOR CREATING BLOWOFF SHIELDS AND DUCT FLANGE FOR CH33 SERIES COILS (LEFT TO RIGHT DISCHARGE) 504,360M 10/2000 Coil Cabinet Top View Coil end This supplement is instructions for field fabrication and installation of blowoff shields and a duct flange. Use this supplement with CH33 coils that are installed in the left to right hand discharge position, The blowoff shields keep water from the coil inside of the drain pan. The blowoff shields also protects the duct work from water. Right-hand Air Discharge with Connection Duct - The coil must have a 3/4" slope from the rear of the cabinet to the drain. The coil must be in the left to right configuration connection on the service access side of the furnace. The field-provided connection duct goes between the furnace and the coil. Field-provided screws secure the coil casing, connection duct, and the furnace together. Blowoff Shield: Insert and rotate it back and down into the drain pan Coil Drain Pan Figure 2 Right-hand Air Discharge Connection Ducts Fabricating the Blowoff Shields 1 - Cut light gauge sheet metal into the dimensions shown in figure 1. 2 - The blowoff shield must have a 90 ° angle where it is bent.
