1. Before You Start

WARNING! To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this product to rain or
moisture. Do not use this product near swimming pools or other bodies of water.
IMPORTANT! Before installing or operating this product, read the SAFETY AND GENERAL
INFORMATION located near the end of this document!

Cleaning
Unplug the Telephone from the wall outlet and remove antenna (or disconnect antenna cable)
before cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
Placement
Be sure the unit is installed in a stable condition. Serious damage may result if the unit falls.
Do not place the unit on. or within 1 meter (3') of heaters or radiators. This unit is designed
for desktop or wall mountable. But also designed for wall mountable with mounting bracket
which is provided as option.
Serviceability
If the unit fails for any other reason. do not attempt to disassemble; contact the telephone
service provider for assistance.
Unplug the unit at the wall plug, remove battery then call the service provider if any of the
following conditions exist:
The unit does not work normally by following the operating instructions.
The power supply cord is damaged or frayed.
Liquid has been spilled into the un|t.
The unit has been exposed to rain or water.
The unit has been dropped or damaged.

2. Introduction I
Congratulations on your purchase of the LSP-1000 Fixed Wireless Telephone that has been
designed to operate on the latest digital mobile communications technology, Code Division
Multiple Access (CDMA)
The Fixed Wireless Telephone is a cellular product designed to operate on the latest digital
mobile communication technology, Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA). This CDMA digital
technology has greatly enhanced voice clarity and can provide various advanced features.
The Telephone enables the normal operation and direct connection of standard telephone
equipment into the cellular network.
The standard unit provides:
Dial tone;
Touch tone (DTMF) or Pulse Dialing;
ROH (Receiver oft-hook) tone;
D39 Data Port;
3 Step Ringer Volume Switch;
AC Power supply with barrel plug connector:
Three lights (LEDs) to indicate the status of the unit;
Spike Antenna:
Other features as determined by your service provider

STEPI. Check Components
0 Each standard unit comes with the Fixed Wireless Terminal, an AC power supply with
power cords. an antenna and User Manual.
0 Please make sure that these components are present before you begin the unit
installation.
STEP II. Place the Terminal
0 Place the terminal on the stable flat secure surface area (desk, table, etc). Avoid direct
exposure to the sun lights and damp area.
0 Read the SAFETY INFORMATION located at the first part of this document before you
place the terminal.
STEP III. Connect Components
0 Connect the antenna to the TNC connector located at the topside of the terminal. (See
Figure 1 to locate the TNC connector) If you placed the terminal on the flat surface. bend
the antenna up right,
0 Connect your phone cord to the RJ-11C port located at the right side of the terminal.
0 Connect the AC power supply cable to the DC input port located at the right side of the
terminal.
STEP IV. Check LED indicators
0 When you followed the installation instruction STEP lto STEP lll. please check the LEDs
for normal operation.
STEP V. Wall Mounting Bracket
0 The terminal comes with a bracket for wall installation. Before installing it, determine
the location which provides the strongest signal and a near by electrical outlet.
1. Hold the bracket against the wall;
2. Mark the two openings and select round or pinhead type screw;

3. Drill out the holes with drill bit smaller in diameter than the screws
4. Secure two screws into the wall, leaving about 1/8inch gap between the screw heads
and the wall;
5 Place the bracket over the two screws so that the screw head protrudes out of the
opening;
6. Slide the bracket downward until the screw head is locked at the top of the
opening and the bracket is secure:
7, Tighten the screws the bracket is resting upon:
8. Insert THE terminal into the bracket until you hear two snaps (both sides of the unit
should snap into the bracket);
9. Insert the DC power pack into an electrical outlet and attach the telephone line into
the Phone jack (RJ11) of the unit
Note: Some wall materials may require special insens of plugs to secure a screw and support the
bracket.

Receiving a call
The connected telephone rings when an incoming call is detected. Pick up the handset and
begin talking into the mouthpiece. (You can adjust the receiving volume and ring volume with
volume switch),
Ending a call
When you have completed the call, place the handset back on hook. Also you can hook flash
more than 1 second to end a call and place new call without hanging up the handset,
') For emergency call. only the main system can release the call.

4. System Features
0 Lift handset and press # key, it becomes to Menu mode,
0 Select the number of menu to use and confirmation tone is heard.
0 To cancel or finish it. press hook switch and dial tone is produced again,
') You should lift the handset to enter menu mode and if any error is occurred, error tone
will be heard.

Speed Dial
Max. 30 speed dial numbers can be entered in memory locations and
place a call by pressing memory location and # key.

Hot Line While the Hot Line function is set. if not dialing any key for 105ec, the
T0 891! stored hot line number Is dialed.

1. Press # key and dial button 3.
2 Press # key and dial button 1 (to set).
3 Press the hot line number (max, 32 digits).
4. Press * key.
Pressing hook switch, it returns to idle status and dial tone is
produced.
Alarm Function Setting alarm time, ring ls heard in the designated time.
1. Press # key and dial button 4
2 Press # key and dial button 1 (to set).
3 Enter the alarm time (HHMM + 1: am or 2: pm).
4. Press ' key.
Pressing hook switch. it returns to idle status and dial tone is
produced.
') The alarm ring is heard in standby mode and to stop the ring, press
hook switch.

RF energy may affect improperly installed or inadequately shielded motor vehicles. Check
with the manufacturer or its representative to determine if these system are adequately
shielded from external RF energy. You should also check with the manufacturer for any
equipment that has been added to your vehicle.
Consult the manufactureis) of your medical and personal electronic device(s) (for example a
pacemaker. hearing aid. etc) to determine if they are adequately shielded from external RF
energy. Your physician may be able to assist you in obtaining this information regarding
medical devices.

Only Authorized Service Personnel should remove the cover of the Telephone for additional
service. The contents of the Telephone contain components that present an Electric shock
hazard if handled improperly, For further assistance. contact your Authorized LGIC service
representative.

Areas marked with potentially explosive atmospheres are often. but not always. marked. They
include fueling areas such as gas stations, below deck on boats, fuel or chemical transfer or
storage facilities; areas where the air contains chemicals or particles. such as grain, dust, or
metal powders; and any other area where you would normally be advised to turn off your
vehicle engine.
Do not replace or charge batteries in a hazardous atmosphere. Contact sparking may occur
while installing batteries or removing batteries and cause an explosion.
