nized by date and time.

Keyword Search
Keyword search lets you enter a ward(s) to look for a partitular
show by category or for every show title that matches.
Highlight the Keyword navigation labels and press ENTER
button to display the Keyword Search menu.
Highlight New Search. and press ENTER button,
The Search Options menu is displayed,
Highlight Category and use the 4 or b button to select a
category to Search (e.g, All. HDTV, Children, Sports, etc.).
When finished, use the 7 button to highlight Enter
Keyword,
Highlight Enter Keyword. and press ENTER button.
The keyboard is displayed.
6 Use the A V 4 b button to highlight a character. and
press ENTER button to display it. When complete high»

a Choose the way Recordings are displayed by highlighting
Recordings on the Service Bar and then press the MENU
button to display the Recordings Options menu Use the
A or V buttons to choose between the following:
I In View As, use the 1 or D buttons to choose between
PGroup - Recorded shows are listed Without listing
eVery recorded episode (see example in Screen A)r
P List - Displays a complete list of every recorded
episode for a show(see example in Screen 8}
- In Sort By, use the 1 or P buttons to choose between
> Title - Shows are displayed in alphabetical order (see
example in Screen A).
> Date - Shows are displayed by date and time, with
most recent date and time first (see example in
Screen B),
9 When finished, press ENTER button to highlight Done.

In List View. highlight an episode and an Info box provides
show information. Press the MENU button to display the
Episode Options menu.
In Group View, highlight a Show and press ENTER button
to View a summary for the all the lecorded shows along
with the episode list (Press ENTER button again to col-
lapse the episode list).
Highlight a specific episode and press the MENU button
to display the Episode Options menu,
To view an episode you can do one of the following:
1 Highlight an episode, and press ENTER button to View it
now
Go to Service Bar - Close the menu, changes no informa-
tion, and returns to the Recordings Service Bar.
Play from beginning - View the episode from the begin-
ning in TV Mode.
Delete Episode - Deletes the episode from the
Recordings. A Confirm menu is displayed.
l Yes 4 Deletes the episode.
' No - Closes the panel menu.
Cancel - Closes the menu, changes no information, and
returns to the highlighted show.

Schedule
Schedule lets you review, edit, or delete Record and Remind events that you set
previously.
Mth Schedule highlighted, press the INFO button to display a Help screen. Press
the INFO button again to close the screen.
An icon identifies the event type:
Record
I Once ~ Records the show one time.
Regularly - Records the show every time the show airs on the
same channel and starts at the same time.
Weekly ' Records the show each time the show airs on the
same day of the week, on the same channel and starts at the
same time.
Oil - Keeps the show in the list but will not record the Show
until the lrequency is changed.
Remind
Once ~ Sets a show reminder one time.
Regularly - Sets a show reminder every time the show airs on
the same channel and starts at the same time.
Weekly - Sets a show reminder each time the show airs on the
same day of the week. on the same channel and starts at the
same time.
Off - Keeps the show in the list but will not remind the show
until the frequency is changed.
Highlight an event. and press the MENU button for options.
(Note options vary depending on the type of event you select.)
> Co to Service Bar - Closes the menu, changes no intoimation,
and returns to the Schedule Service Bar.
P Tune to channel - Exits the TV Guide On Screen system and
tunes to the highlighted Show.
F Set Recording Opens a menu from which you can set a recording
for the show. (Remind is not cancelled)
’ Set Reminder- Opens a menu from which you can set a Reminder
for the show, [Record is not cancelled)
P Delete Recording- Removes the recording from the Schedule after
a Confirm screen.
' Delete Reminder— Removes the reminder From the Schedule after
a Confirm screen.
P Edit Recording- Opens a menu from which you can change exist-
rng recording information.
’ Edit Reminder» Opens a menu from which you can change exist-
ing reminder information.
> Cancel- Closes the menu, changes no information. and returns to
the highlighted show.

Change Setup
After you initially complete Guide Setup, you can make changes
to Guide settings in the following areas:
I Change System Settings
' Change Channel Display
l Change Default Options
a Highlight a choice, press ENTER button. and follow the
on-screen instructions.
a With Setup highlighted, press the INFO button to display

screen.
Change System Settings

Change Channel Display
0 Change Channel Display lets you edit channel information
that appears in Listings. With Change Channel Display
you can :
' Re-order the position of the channel in Listings.
I Change the tune channel number.
1 Switch a channel.
> On - The channel is always displayed.
’ Off - The channel is never displayed.
’ Auto-Hide » The channel is only displayed when
program information is available.
a Press ENTER button to display the Channel Editor screen.

Change Default Options
Change Default Options lets you change default settings in the
following categories:
' General Defaults
l Record Defaults
' Remind Defaults
Highlight Change Default Options, and press ENTER button.
0 General Default Options
General Defaults lets you set defaults for the following:
' The initial Info Box sxze when the TV Guide On Screen
system is entered.
Choices are No. Small. Large. and Last Used. (Default =
Last Used)
' The Info Box size rotation when the INFO button is
pressed while in the TV Guide On Screen system.
Choices are No only. Small only. Large only. No & Small.
No & Large. Small & Large. All.(Defau|t = All)
' Automatic entry into the TV Guide On Screen system
(Auto-Guide) when the TV is powered On. Choices are
On and 0ff.(Default = Off)

Highlight Go to Service Bar to close the menu. change no

early to l20 minutes late. to On timet (Default = On time)
I Recorder choice: Please choose HDD only. This TV does
not support other recording devices.
Highlight Record Defaults. and press the MENU button to
display the Record Defaults menu.
Highlight Go to Service Bar to close the menu, change no
information, and return to the Setup Service Bar.
Remind Defaults
Remind Defaults lets you set defaults for the following:
' Power On the TV, if Off. when a Reminder is scheduled.
Choices are Yes and No. (Default = No)
- Automatically tune the TV to the channel (TV must he
oh), when a Reminder is scheduled. Choices are Yes and
No. (Default = No)
I When to display the reminder screen. choices are 30 se-
conds to 15 minutes early, to 30 seconds to 15 minutes
late, to On time. (Default = l min early)
Highlight Remind Defaults, and press the MENU button to
display the Remind Defaults menu.
Highlight Go to Service Bar to close the menu, change no
information, and return to the Setup Service Bar.
When finished, press ENTER button to highlight Done.
Press ENTER button again to close the menu and accept
the changes.
Highlight Cancel to close the menu, change no information.

Record And Remind Features
Record
You can set a show to Record in Listings, Search, and Schedule
or change Record settings for a show in Schedule.
There are 3 ways to set a show to Record:
Usingthe Record Button on the Remote
I Press the Record button on the remote to record the show
Once with current default settings (Start and End recording On
Time). Each time you press the Record button, you can change
the record frequency (but not the default settings) among Once
(default), Regularly, Weekly and then Cancel.
0 NOTE
5 The proper Record icon appears on the show tile, as
the Record button is pressed.
I Once - Records the show one time.
Regularly - Records the show every time the show airs
on the same channel and starts at the same time,
Weekly - Records the show each time the show airs on
the same day of the week, on the same channel and
starts at the same time.
Cancel (no icon displayed) - Does not record.

9 Highlight the Frequency option, and use the 4 or b button to
choose between Once, Daily, Weekly, and Off. as follows :
Once - Records the time. channel. input. recorder comb:-
nation one time.
Daily — Records the time. channel. input, recordercombi-
nation Monday through Friday.
n Weekly - Records the time, channel, input, recorder com-
bination once a week on this selected day of the week.
- Off (not cancel) - Keeps the time, channel, input,
recorder combination in the list without recording until
the frequency is changed.
When finished, press ENTER button to highlight Schedule
Recording.
Press ENTER button again to close the menu. You can see
a Record icon for the selected frequency next to the
input and channel number.
Highlight Cancel to close the menu, change no informa-
tion, and return to the highlighted showr
Before a recording begins, a notification screen appears if
your TV is On. At that time. you can choose to start or
cancel recording. If the TV is not On. the recording occurs
as scheduled. If there is no activity for 3 minutes, the noti-
fication screen automatically closes and completes the
highlighted item.
Record Conflict
A conflict message appears for the following reasons:
' A show set to Record overlaps with any part of another
show previously set to Record.
' A show set to Record overlaps with a show previously set
to auto tune.
Select one of these options:
' Record anyway - This show will override an existing show
set to Record or auto»tune.
I Don’t record this show - Cancel the Recording.

Remind
You can set a sham Reminder in Listings, Search, and Schedule
or change Reminder settings for a show in Schedule.
There are 2 ways to set a show Reminder:
From a Panel Menu

Based on your option settings, a notification screen will
appear, ifynur TV is On at the reminder time. Then you can
choose to hide the reminder, or highlight the show, and
press ENTER button to tune to the show. If there is no
activity for 3 minutes, the notification screen automatically
closes and completes the highlighted item (hide reminders),
If you choose Hide Reminders, the window closes for the
show or shows, but does not affect other Reminders you set.
0 NOTE
P if more than 2 reminders are set for the same
time, arrows appear on the Reminder screen Use
the'l, or 7an to View the shows.
® Remind Conflict
A conflict message appears for the following reasons:
' A show set with an Auto-Tune Reminder has the same start
time as an existing Auto3lune Reminder,
l A show set with an Auto-Tune Reminder overlaps with 3
Recording already scheduled.
Select one of these options:
I Auto-tune anyway - This show will override an existing
show set to auto-tune.
' Proceed. no auto-tune ~ Set the show as a Reminder but
do not auto-tune.
I Don't set this reminder - Cancel the Reminder.

DVR (DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDING)
TIMESHIFI' (PAUSE &REPLAY OF LIVE TV)
This function allows the unit to automatically record live
TV and make it available for reviewing at any time.
With Timeshift turned on. you may pause and rewind nor-
mal TV viewing at any time without missing any of the live
broadcast.
l While simplink function is using Timeshift function is not
operated in HDMII/DVI or HDMIZ mode.

INSTANT RECORDING
Use this function to record the program you are watching on the main screen
(Analog or Digital broadcast.)
Instant Record
This function records the currently displayed channel.
