. Turn off the equlpment and all attached opttohs
. Carefully set the momtor tacedown wuh the underswde lacnng vou

l Align the hooks on the tnIt/swwel stand thh the matchlng slots tn the base of
the monnor

Connecting the Monitor
Power Cord
On the back of the monitor are two plug-in connections; one for the AC
power cord1 and the other for the signal cable [mm the video card.

9 Connect the 15 pm VGA connector 0! the Supphed signal cable to the output
VGA Video connector on the PC and the matching lflpul connector on the rear
of the mentor The connectors wull mate only one way‘ If you cannot attach
the cable easlly, turn the wnnector upsnje down and try again. When mated,
ttghten the thumbscrews to secure the oonnectronv
@ Locate the approprrate MAC to VGA adapter block at your local computer
store. ThIS adapter changes the htgh denelty 3 row t 5 pm VGA connector to
the correct 15 pin 2 row connectton to mate wtth your MAC Attach the other
end oi the Signal cable to the slde of the adapter block with 3 rows
Connect the attached adapter block/srgnal cable to the Video output on your
MAC
0 One end of the AC power cord ls wnnected rnto the AC power connector on
the back of the rnonrtor The other end rs plugged rnto a properly grounded

0 Power (DPMS) This Indicator lights up green when the
Indicator monitor operates normally. It the monitor is in
DPM (Energy Saving) mode (stand-
by/suspend/power 0"), this Indicator color
changes to amber.
On Screen Display (OSD) Control Adjustment
Making adjustments to the image size, position and operating parameters of
the monitor ale quick and easy with the On Screen Display Contml system.
A quick example is given below to familiarize you with the use of the controls.
Following section is an outline of the available adjustments and selections you
can make using the OSD.
To make adtustments tn the On Screen Display, tonow these steps‘

descriptions of the items that are shown on the Menu.

User Modes
. Modes 87 we are empty and can accept new video data. lf the mcnltcr detects
a new video mode that has not been present belore or rs not one of the preset
modes, ll stores the new mode automatically in one of the empty modes

If you use up the 9 blank modes and strll have more new vrdeo modes, the
monrtor replaces the rhtormatlon lh the user modes starting wrth mode 8.
Recalling Display Modes
. When your mentor detects a mode It has seen before, it automatlcally recalls
the lmage settings you may have made the last [Ime you used that mode,
Vou may, however, marlually force a recall of each ofthe 7 preset modes by
presslng the Recall button All preset modes are automatoally recalled as the
monltor senses the incomlng slgnal
The abrllty to recall the preset modes ls dependent on the signal coming from
your PC‘s vldeo card or system ll thls slgnal does not match any 0! the factory
modes, the mentor automatrcally sets use” to drspla/ the image.
Troubleshooting
Check the following before calling for service.
SELF DIAGNOSTICS message.
. The srgnal cable IS not connected, or is loose. Check and secure the connection
OUT OF FREQUENCY message appears.
. The frequency at the signal lrom the Video card is outside the operating range ol
the monrtor.
‘ Horizontal Frequency : 30-61kHz
" Vertical Frequency : 50—120Hz
Use the graphics board's utility software to change the lrequeno/ setting (Refer
to the manual lor graphics board).
The power LED is illuminated amber.
. Display power management mode.
. There lS no active Signal coming from the PC
. The signal cable is not fastened securely.
. Check the corn puter power and graphics adapter configuration
The image on the SCREEN is not centered, or too small, or not a
rectangle shapec
. Image adiustment not been done yet in the current operating mode, Use the
MENU, SELECT and < > buttons to Set the image to your liking.
The monitor doesn't enter the power saving off mode (Amber).
- Computer wdeo signal is not VESA DPMS standard Either the PC or the Video
controller card is not using the VESA DPMS power management function,
An abnormal picture is displayjed on the screen. For example, the
upper part of the picture may e missing or dark
