Connecting the Monitor
On the back of the monitor are two plug-in connections; one for the AC
power cord, and the other for the signal cable from the video card.

Q Connect the 15 pin VGA connector of the supplied slgnal cable to the output
VGA ytdeo connector on the PC and the matchtng |nput connector on the rear

tlghten the thumbscrews to secure the oonnectlon
@ Locate the appropnate MAC to VGA adapter block at your local computer
store. This adapter changes the hrgh densrty 3 row 15 prn VGA connector to
the correct l5 pin 2 row connectton to mate With your MAC. Attach the other
end of the Signal cable to the srde of the adapter block wrth 3 rows
Connect the attached adapter block/signal cable to the yrdeo output on your
MAC

Microphone Operation
On the left Side there IS a MIC (Microphone) iack By plugging a microphone in
here, it may reduce the long length ol cable needed to reach the PCS sound card.
in order to use this MlC tack you need to use a cable (supplied) to plug into the
rear 01 the monitor (MlC OUT) and into the WC input iack of your sound card (if
available)
Audio Features
A major feature of this monitor is its built—in audio system This conveniently
integrates a stereo audio amplifier and speakers Without taking up any more
space Because the monitor is desrgned like this, you can eaSily upgrade to audio
capable multimedia applications by attaching your PC with sound card to the back
of this monitor. it Will result in significantly less cabling and space requirements.
On Screen Display (OSD) Control Adjustment
Making adjustments to the image size, position and operating parameters of
the monitor are quick and easy with the On Screen Display Control system A
quick example is given below to familiarize you with the use of the controls.
Following section is an outline of the available adjustments and selections you
can make using the OSD.

the screen. The screen image may shake
slightty while the moire reduction tunctlon is on.
Use to adjust the overall purity oi the image
tithe color appears uneven.
Sound Selection and Adjustment

User Modes
. Modes 12736 are empty and can accept new vrdeo data. It the monrtor detects
a new vrdeo mode that has not been present belore or ts not one of the preset
modes, rt stores the new mode automaticalt/ in one of the empty modes
staning wrth mode 12
If you use up the 25 blank modes and strll have more new Video modes, the
monrtor replaces the informatron tn the user modes startrng with mode 12
Recalling Display Modes
. When your monitor detects a mode rt has seen before, it automatically recalls
the mags settrngs you may have made the last time you used that mode.
You may, however, manually force a recall of each of the 11 preset modes by
pressrng the Recall button All preset modes are automatrcally recalled as the
monitor senses the rncomrng srgnal
The abrlrty to ieoall the preset modes rs dependent on the srgnal comrng lrom
your PC’s Video oaid or system H thts Signal does not match any of the factory
modes, the monrtor automatrcally sets itself to display the mags.

Troubleshooting
Check the following before calling for service.
SELF DlAGNOSTICS message.
. The srgnal cable ts not connected, or rs loose. Check and secure the connection.
OUT OF FREQUENCY message appears.
. The frequency of the signal from the VIdeO card is outsrde the operating range of
the manner.
* Horizontal Frequency: 30-70kHz
* Vertical Frequency: 5&180Hz
Use the graphics board‘s utilm/ software to change the frequency settrng (Reler
to the manual for graphrcs board)
The power LED is illuminated amber.
- Display power management mode
. There is no acme signal coming lrom the PC
. The srgnal cable is not lastened securely
. Check the computer power and graphics adapter configuratron,
The image on the SCREEN is not centered, or too small, or not a
rectangle shape.
. lmage adjustment not been done yet in the current operating mode Use the
OSD, SET and AVKI D buttons to set the image to your liklng.
The monitor doesn‘t enter the power saving off mode (Amber).
- Computer vrdeo signal is not VESA DPMS standard Enher the PC or the vrdeo
oontrollercard lS not usrng the VESA DPMS power management function.
An abnormal picture is displayed on the screen. For example, the
upper part of the picture may be missing or dark.
