LG Electronics Inc.    4I. Booting - Press and hold the Power/Call button on the front panel for 2 seconds. The power is turned on as the booting tone is played. - The LED will flicker in red. - When there is no operation for 20 seconds, the headset enters the Power Saving mode.    II. Shut down - Press and hold the Power/Call button for 5 seconds. As the shutdown tone is played, all the functions halt, the Bluetooth link is disconnected, and the power is turned off.  III. Charging - Connect the charger to the connecter on the side of the headset to charge the headset.   - When the charger is connected with the power on, the Headset will be powered off. And while charging, the LED keeps lighting on until the Headset is fully charged. -      When recharging is complete, the LED goes out even with the charger connected.  IV. Pairing - When the Headset is power off, press and hold the Power/Call button for at least 6 seconds to enter Pairing Mode. When the Headset enters Pairing Mode, the LED is steadily on and the headset generates Melody sound. Pairing Mode keeps going on for 3 minutes. If there is no connection for 3 minutes, Headset will be turned off automatically. When the Bluetooth phone searches for connected devices, select Headset and register it. - If you want to pair with other devices in the future, you must search for devices with the headset in the Pairing Mode. - When the pairing is complete, the headset will generate a tone and indicate that the device has been successfully registered. - After the pairing is successfully made, the headset enters the Waiting mode and waits for the other device to make a connection. If a connection fails, press the Power/Call button on the headset or use functions of the phone to make a connection.

Waiting - Waiting Mode is also called “Standby Mode”.   - In this mode, you can make a Bluetooth connection with the headset in the registered phone. - You can connect to the registered device using the buttons of the headset.   VI. Connect   - Pressing the Power/Call button without any Bluetooth device connected will connect to the most recently connected device. The connection will try the hands-free profile and the headset profile at the same time.     -   If a connection fails, enter the Pairing Mode and try making a connection again.   [When the headset is successfully connected to a phone with the hands-free profile] - After entering Voice Dial Mode by pressing the Power/call button, a connection can be made with a phone supporting Voice Dial. Press the button again to return to the main screen. - Press and hold the Power/Call button for two seconds. After a beep is heard, the headset will enter the Redialing mode and call the most recently dialed number. For Some phones, this needs to be done twice for Redialing Mode. - Hang up the phone to end a call.     VII. Disconnect - If you wish to disconnect a Bluetooth connection, it is recommended that you use the menus of the phone.   VIII. Volume Up and Down - You can adjust the volume using the VOLUME UP or VOLUME DOWN buttons. - There are a total of 7 volume levels.  IX.  Mute (the other party cannot hear the speaker) - For  Mute,  press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button for 1 second until double beep sounds  are  heard when

Handsfree Profile Related Functions All the features in this section are available only when a connection is made between the headset’s Hands-free profile and the phone.  1. Incoming Call - When there is an incoming call, the headset will play a melody created in the phone. If the phone does not provide a melody to the headset, the headset will play its own ring tone to let the user know that there is an incoming call.  2.  Picking up a Call - With Ring Alerting being played, press the Power/Call button to answer an incoming call.  3. Making a Call - Press and hold the Power/Call button for 2 seconds to redial the most recent number. - Some phones display a list of recently made calls.  4. Terminating a Call - Press the Power/Call button during a call to end the call.  5. Audio Transfer - When you are making a call with a phone while the headset is connected (That is, you cannot hear the call from the headset while you are using the phone to talk), press the Power/Call button to switch to the headset. - When you are making a call with the headset connected to a phone, press and hold the VOLUME UP button for 1 second to switch to the phone.  6. Call Reject - When there is an incoming call with the headset and the phone connected, press the Power/Call button for 1 second. After a beep is heard, the call will be rejected.

Pairing mode  lights on until pairing is complete but this will be turned off after 180 seconds. Charging  lights on until charging is complete. Additional lnformation  1. Radio frequency exposure This Bluetooth® Headset, HBM-730, is a radio transmitter and receiver. When in operation, it communicates with a Bluetooth® equipped mobile device by receiving and transmitting radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic fields (microwaves) in the frequency range 2.4 to 2.4835 GHz. The output power of the radio transmitter is low, 0.001 watt. Your Bluetooth® Headset is designed to operate in compliance with the RF exposure guidelines and limits set by national authorities and international health agencies when used for any compatible LG Electronics mobile phone.  2. Potentially explosive atmosphere Turn off your electronic device when you are in any area with a potentially explosive atmosphere. It is rare, but your electronic device could generate sparks. Sparks in such areas could cause an explosion or fire resulting in bodily injury or even death. Areas with a potentially explosive atmosphere are often, but not always, clearly marked.  3.Emergency calls  IMPORTANT! This Bluetooth® Headset and the electronic device connected to the Headset operate using radio signals, cellular and landline networks as well as user-programmed functions, which cannot guarantee connection under all conditions. Therefore you should never rely solely upon any electronic device for essential communications (e.g. medical emergencies). Remember, in order to make or receive calls, the Headset and the electronic device connected to the Headset must be switched on and in a service area with adequate cellular signal strength. Emergency calls may not be possible on all cellular phone networks or when certain network services and/or phone features are in use. Check with your local service provider.

A new battery or one that has not been used for a long period of time could have reduced capacity the first few times it is used. Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures, never above +60°(+140°F) or under -20°(-4°F) . For maximum battery capacity, use the battery in room temperature. If the battery is used in low temperatures, the battery capacity will be reduced. The battery can only be charged in temperatures between + 1 0° (+50 °  F ) and +45°( + 1 1 3°F ) .  5. Recycling the battery in your Bluetooth Headset The battery in your Bluetooth® Headset must be disposed of properly and should never be placed in municipal waste. The LG Electronics service partner removing battery will dispose of it according to local regulations.  6. Conditions . The warranty is valid only if the original receipt issued to the original purchaser by the dealer, specifying the date of purchase and serial number, is presented with the product to be repaired or replaced. LG Electronics reserves the right to refuse warranty service if this information has been removed or changed after the original purchase of the product from the dealer.  . If LG Electronics repairs or replaces the product, the repaired or replaced product shall be warranted for the remaining time of the original warranty period or for ninety (90) days from the date of repair, whichever is longer. Repair or replacement may involve the use of functionally equivalent reconditioned units. Replaced parts or components will become the property of LG Electronics.  . This Warranty does not cover any failure of the product due to normal wear and tear, or due to misuse, including but not limited to use in other than the normal and customary manner, in accordance with instructions for use and maintenance of the product. Nor does this warranty cover any failure of the product due to accident, modification or adjustment, acts of God or damage resulting from liquid.  .
