The FLATRON LCD 680LE Flat Panel Monitor has an active matrix Tl'l‘
(Thin-Film Mnslstor) LCD (Liquid Crystal Display).
This monitor is designed for use in small worldng areas or for those who need
more working space on the desk.

- The FLATRON LCD SBOLE is a 15.7-inch (15.7 inches viewable) intelligent
microprocessor based monitor,
. Digimlly controlled autoscanning is done with the micro-processor for horizontal
scan frequencies between 30 and BOkHz, and vertical scan frequencies
between 56 - BSHz.
- The microprocessor-based digital controls allow you to adjust conveniently a
variety of image controls by using the 050 (On Screen Display).
. It supports resolutions up to 1230x1024, and has a wide viewing angle of 160
degrees horizontal and 145 degrees vertical
. The monitor is shipped With 16 factory preprogrammed Video modes that are
permanently resident, In addition, there are 10 user-slorable modes. for a total
of 26 memory modes.

Connecting the lulonltor
To set up the monitor, ensure that the power is turned MI W the monitor,
computer system, and other smelled devices, then follow these steps:
0 Power off both the monitor and computer.
0 Slightly press and pull the latch on Stand cover,
G) Connect one end of me monitor signal cable to the input oonnector on the
rear panel of the monitor.
9 Connect the other end to the 15-pin connector on the real panel of the
computer and tighter me screws. Be sure the Slgflfl| cable aligns with the 15-
pin connector.
0 Connect the other end of the monitor signal cable to the rear panel of
Macintosh computer through a Macintosh adapter and then tighten screws.
6 Connect the plug from the AC mapter into the base of the monitor 0,
Connect one end of the AC power com to me AC adapter 0 and the other
end to a properly grounded AC outlet that is easily accessible and close to the
monitor 0.

Making adjustments to the image size. position and operating parameters of
the monitor are quick and easy with the On Screen Display Control system.
A quick example is given below to familiarize you with the use of the controls

User Modes
. Modes 17-26 are empty and can accept new video data. If the monitor detects
a new video mode mat has not been present before or is not one of the preset
modes. it stores the new mode automatically in one of me empty modes
starting with mode 17.
If you use up we 10 blank modes and still have more new video modes. the
monitor replaces the informafion m the user modes starting with mode 17.
Check the following before calling for service,
Display Position is incorrect.
l Push the AUTO/SET Button.
- If the results are unsatsiactory, adjust the image position using the H position and
V position icon in the on screen display.
On the screen background, vertical bars or stripes are visible.
- Push the AUTOISET Button.
- If the results are unsatisfactory, decrease the vertical bars or stripes using the
CLOCK icon in the on screen display
Any horizontal noise appearing in any image or characters are not clearly
