(a) Do not attempt to operate this oven
with the door open since open-door
operation can result in harmful exposure
to microwave energy. It is important
not to defeat or tamper with the safety
interlocks.
(b) Do not place any object between the
oven front face and the door or allow
soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on
sealing surfaces.
(c) Do not operate the oven if it is damaged.
It is particularly important that the oven
door closes properly and that there is no
damage to the:
(1) Door (bent),
(2) Hinges and latches (broken or
loosened),
(3) Door seals and sealing surfaces.
(d) The oven should not be adjusted or
repaired by anyone except properly

SAFETY
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The safety instructions below will tell you how to use your oven and avoid harm to yourself or
damage to your oven.
WARNING
- To reduce the risk of burns,
electric shock, ire, injury to persons, or exposure to
excessive microwave energy:
• Read all the instructions before using your oven.
• Do not allow children to use this oven without
close supervision.
• Read and follow the speciic PRECAUTIONS TO
AVOID POSSIBLE EXPOSURE TO
EXCESSIVE MICROWAVE ENERGY found on
page 2.
• Suitable for use above both gas and electric
cooking equipment 36 inches wide or less.
• Do not use this oven for commercial purposes.
It is made for household use only.
• When cleaning the door and the surfaces that
touch the door, use only mild, non-abrasive
soaps or detergents and a sponge or soft cloth.
• If your oven is dropped or damaged, have it
thoroughly checked by a qualiied service technician
before using it again.
• Do not use corrosive chemicals or vapors, such
as sulide and chloride, in this appliance. This type
of oven is speciically designed to heat, cook, or dry
food. It is not designed for industrial or laboratory
use.
• Do not store this appliance outdoors. Do not use
this product near water - for example, near a kitchen
sink, in a wet basement, near a swimming pool, or
similar location.
• Do not use the cavity for storage purposes. Do not
leave paper products, cooking utensils, or food in
the cavity when not in use.
• Clean the ventilating hood frequently. Do not
allow grease to accumulate on the hood or the
ilters.
• Use care when cleaning the vent hood filters.
Corrosive cleaning agents, such as lye-based oven
cleaners, may damage the ilters.
• Do not tamper with the built-in safety switches
on the oven door. The oven has several built-in
safety switches to make sure the power is off when
the door is open.
• When cooking foods under the hood, turn the fan
on.
• To reduce the risk of fire in the oven cavity:
- Do not overcook food. Carefully attend to the
microwave oven when paper, plastic or other
combustible materials are placed inside the oven
to facilitate cooking.
- Do not use the cavity for storage purposes.
Do not leave paper products, cooking utensils or
food in the cavity when not in use.
- Remove wire twist-ties from paper or plastic bags
before placing bags in oven.
• If materials inside the oven ignite:
- Keep oven door closed
- Turn the oven off
- Disconnect the power cord or shut off power
at the fuse or circuit breaker panel
• To avoid electric shock:
- This appliance must be grounded. Connect only
to a properly grounded outlet. See the electrical
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS on page 6.
- Do not operate this appliance if it has a
damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly or if it has been damaged or dropped.
- Do not immerse the electrical cord or plug in
water.
- Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
• Take care when the door is opened to avoid
injury.

SAFETY
• To avoid improperly cooking some foods.
- Do not heat any types of baby bottles or baby
food. Uneven heating may occur and possibly cause
personal injury.
- Do not heat small-necked containers, such as syrup
bottles.
- Do not deep-fat fry in your microwave oven.
- Do not attempt home canning in your microwave
oven.
- Do not heat the following items in the microwave
oven: whole eggs in the shell, water with oil or fat,
sealed containers, or closed glass jars. These items
may explode.
• Do not cover or block any openings in the oven.
- Keep a browning dish at least 3/16 inch above floor.
Carefully read and follow the instructions for the
browning dish. If you use a browning dish incorrectly,
you could damage the oven loor.
• Install or locate this appliance only in accordance with
the provided installation instructions.
• This appliance should be serviced only by qualified
service personnel. Contact the nearest authorized service
facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
• Use your oven only for the operations described in this
manual.
• Do not run the oven empty.
• Secure power cord in the cabinet above the oven.
• Preserve the oven loor:
- Do not heat the oven loor excessively.
- Do not allow the gray ilm on special microwavecooking packages to touch the oven loor. Put the
package on a microwavable dish.
- Do not cook anything directly on the oven loor or
turntable. Use a microwavable dish.
• Liquids, such as water, coffee, or tea can be overheated
beyond the boiling point without appearing to be boiling
due to surface tension of the liquid. Visible bubbling or
boiling when the container is removed from the microwave
oven is not always present.
THIS COULD RESULT IN VERY HOT LIQUIDS
SUDDENLY BOILING OVER WHEN THE
CONTAINER IS DISTURBED OR A SPOON OR
OTHER UTENSIL IS INSERTED INTO THE LIQUID.
To reduce the risk of injury to persons;
- Do not overheat the liquid.
- Stir the liquid both before and halfway through heating it.
- Do not use straight-sided containers with narrow necks.
- After heating, allow the container to stand in the
microwave oven for a short time before removing the
container.
- Use extreme care when inserting a spoon or other
utensil into the container.

Please read this owner’s manual. It will tell you how
to use all the ine features of this microwave oven.
LOCATION OF MODEL NUMBER
To request service information or replacement parts,
the service center will require the complete model
number of your microwave oven. The model number is
on the oven front as shown in the illustration below.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
The microwave oven must be grounded. In the event
of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk
of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the
electric current. The microwave oven is equipped with
a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug.
The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly
installed and grounded.

Consult a qualiied electrician if you do not understand
the grounding instructions or if you wonder whether the
appliance is properly grounded.
Because this appliance its under the cabinet, it has a

Keep the electrical power cord dry and do not pinch or
crush it in any way.
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
The oven is designed to operate on a Standard
120V/60Hz household outlet. Be sure the circuit is at
least 15A or 20A and the microwave oven is the only
appliance on the circuit. It is not designed for 50Hz or
any circuit other than a 120 V/60 Hz circuit.

Your microwave oven is designed to make your cooking
experience as enjoyable and productive as possible.
To get you up and running quickly, the following is a list of the
oven’s basic features:

prevents microwaves from escaping.

Your microwave oven control panel lets you select the desired cooking function quickly and easily. All you
have to do is touch the necessary Command Pad. The following is a list of all the Command Pads and Dial
Knob located on the control panel. For more information on these features, see OPERATION section.

INFORMATION
1. DISPLAY: The Display includes a clock and
indicators to tell you time of day, cooking time
settings, and cooking functions selected.
2. SMART DIAGNOSIS: Put on your phone to
this position in order to check the error code,
when you make a service. (Not the keypad)
3. TAG ON: Put on your smart-phone to this
position in order to use NFC function. (Not the
keypad)
4. SENSOR REHEAT: Touch this pad to reheat
casserole, dinner plate, pizza slice, and soup/
sauce. The oven’s sensor will tell the oven
how long to cook depending on the amount of
humidity coming from the food.
5. SENSOR COOK: Touch this pad to cook
baked potato, frozen vegetable, fresh
vegetable, canned vegetable, frozen entrée,
and rice. The oven’s sensor will tell the oven
how long to cook depending on the amount of
humidity coming from the food.
6. SENSOR POPCORN: Touch this pad when
popping popcorn in your microwave oven. The
oven’s sensor will tell the oven how long to
cook depending on the amount of humidity it
detects from the popcorn.
7. CUSTOM COOK: Touch this pad to recall one
cooking instruction previously programmed into
memory.
8. MANUAL COOK: You can select the functions
to operate MICROWAVE and CONVECTION,
COMBI.
12. AUTO DEFROST: Touch this pad to select
food type and defrost food by weight.
13. CONTROL DIAL: You can set cooking time,
temperature, weight and cooking categories.
You can lengthen or shorten the cooking time
at any point by turning the dial knob(except
defrost mode). Push this dial knob to start a
function or enter all entries.
14. START: Touch this pad to start a function or
enter all entries. If you open the door after
oven begins to cook, touch START again.
15. STOP/CLEAR: Touch this pad to stop the
oven or to clear all entries.
16. LIGHT ON/OFF: Touch this pad to turn the
cooktop/countertop light on or off.
17. TURNTABLE ON/OFF: Touch this pad to
turn off the turntable. OFF will appear in the
display.
NOTE: This option is not available in sensor
cook and defrost modes.
18. TIMER: Touch this pad to set the timer.
19. VENT ON/OFF: Touch this pad to turn the fan
on/off.
20. VENT 5-SPEED: Touch this pad to choose
one of 5 fan speeds.
21. VENT AUTO TIMESET: Touch this pad when
setting ventilation time. (1, 3, 5, 10, and 30
minutes.)
9. CUSTOM SET: Touch this pad to change the
oven’s default settings for sound, clock, display
speed, and defrost weight.
10. AUTO COOK: Touch this pad to cook Bacon,
Fresh Roll & Mufin, Frozen Roll & Mufin,
Beverage, Chicken Pieces, and Hot Cereal.
- SOFTEN : Butter, Ice Cream, Cream
Cheese, or Frozen Juice.
- MELT: Butter, Chocolate, Cheese, or
Marshmallow.
11. SPEED AUTO COMBI: Touch this pad when
setting weight combination cooking.

MICROWAVE COOKING TIPS
Amount of food
• If you increase or decrease the amount of food you
prepare, the time it takes to cook that food will also
change. For example, if you double a recipe, add a
little more than half the original cooking time. Check
for doneness and, if necessary, add more time in small
increments.
Starting temperature of food
• The lower the temperature of the food being put into
the microwave oven, the longer it takes to cook. Food
at room temperature will be re-heated more quickly
than food at refrigerator temperature.
Composition of food
• Food with a lot of fat and sugar will be heated
faster than food containing a lot of water. Fat and
sugar will also reach a higher temperature than water
in the cooking process.
• The more dense the food, the longer it takes to
heat. Very dense food like meat takes longer to heat
than lighter, more porous food like sponge cakes.
Size and shape
• Smaller pieces of food will cook faster than larger
pieces. Also, same-shaped pieces cook more evenly
than different-shaped pieces.
• With foods that have different thicknesses, the
thinner parts will cook faster than the thicker parts
Place the thinner parts of chicken wings and legs in
the center of the dish.
Stirring, turning foods
• Stirring and turning foods spreads heat quickly to
the center of the dish and avoids overcooking at the
outer edges of the food.
Covering food
Cover food to:
• Reduce splattering
• Shorten cooking times
• Keep food moist
Releasing pressure in foods
• Several foods (for example: baked potatoes,
sausages, egg yolks, and some fruits) are tightly
covered by a skin or membrane. Steam can build up
under the membrane during cooking, causing the
food to burst. To relieve the pressure and to prevent
bursting, pierce these foods before cooking with a
fork, cocktail pick, or toothpick.
Using standing time
• Always allow food to stand either in or out of the
oven after cooking power stops. Standing time after
defrosting and cooking allows the temperature to
evenly spread throughout the food, improving the
cooking results. For inside oven standing time, you
can program a 0 power second stage of the cooking
cycle. See cooking with more than on cook cycle
cooking.
• The length of the standing time depends on how
much food you are cooking and how dense it is.
Sometimes it can be as short as the time it takes you
to remove the food from the oven and take it to the
serving table. However, with larger, denser food item,
the standing time may be as long as 10 minutes.
Arranging food
For best results, place food evenly on the plate. You
can do this in several ways:
• If you are cooking several items of the same food,
such as baked potatoes, place them in a ring pattern
for uniform cooking.
• When cooking foods of uneven shapes or
thickness, such as chicken breasts, place the
smaller or thinner area of the food towards the center
of the dish where it will be heated last.
• Layer thin slices of meat on top of each other.
• When you cook or reheat whole ish, score the
skin this prevents cracking.
• Do not let food or a container touch the top or sides
of the oven. This will prevent possible arcing.

MICROWAVE COOKING TIPS
Using aluminum foil
Metal containers should not be used in a microwave
oven. There are, however, some exceptions. If you
have purchased food which is prepackaged in an
aluminum foil container, refer to the instructions on
the package. When using aluminum foil containers,
cooking times may be longer because microwaves will
only penetrate the exposed top of the food and not the
bottom or the sides. If you use aluminum containers
without package instructions, follow these guidelines:
• Place the aluminum foil container in a glass bowl
and add some Water so that it covers the bottom of
the container, but not more than 1/4 in. (.64 cm) deep.
This ensures even heating of the container bottom.
• Always remove the container lid to avoid damage to
the oven.
• Use only undamaged containers.
• Do not use containers taller than 3⁄4 in. (1.9 cm).
• Container must be at least half illed.
• To avoid arcing, there must be a minimum 1⁄4 in.(64
mm) between the aluminum container and the walls of
the oven and also between two aluminum containers.
• Always place the container on the turntable.
• Shield parts of food that may cook quickly, such as
wing tips and leg ends of poultry, with small pieces of
aluminum foil.
• Heating food in aluminum foil containers usually
takes up to double the time compared to reheating in
plastic, glass, china, or paper containers.
The time when food is ready will vary depending upon
the type of container you use.
• Let food stand for 2 to 3 minutes after heating so
that heat is spread evenly throughout the container.
Removing the rack
• When popping commercially packaged popcorn,
remove the rack and drip pan from the oven;
Do not place the bag of microwave popcorn on the
rack or under the rack. Leave the glass tray in place at
all times.

Cooking you should not do in
your microwave oven
• Do not do canning of foods in the oven. Closed glass
jars may explode, resulting in damage to the oven.
• Do not use the microwave oven to sterilize objects
(baby bottles, etc.). It is dificult to keep the oven at
the high temperature needed for sterilization.

Cooking Comparison Guide
Cooking with your new oven offers a wide variety
of food preparation options: microwave cooking,
convection cooking, and combination cooking.
Microwave cooking uses very short, high-frequency
radio waves. The movement of the microwaves
through the food generates heat and cooks most
foods faster than regular methods, while retaining their
natural texture and moisture. Microwave cooking heats
food directly, not the cookware or the interior of the
oven. Reheating is easy and defrosting is particularly
convenient because less time is spent in food
preparation.

Convection cooking constantly circulates heated air
around the food, creating even browning and sealed-in
lavor by the constant motion of hot air over the food
surfaces.
Combination cooking combines microwave energy
with convection to cook with speed and accuracy, while
browning and crisping to perfection.
You can use microwave cooking, convection cooking,
or combination cooking to cook by time. Simply preset
the length of cooking time desired and your oven turns
off automatically.

COOKWARE GUIDE
Microwave Cooking
Most heat-resistant, non-metallic cookware is safe for
use in your microwave oven.
To test cookware before using, follow these steps:
1. Place the empty cookware in the microwave oven.
2. Measure 1 cup of water in a glass measuring cup
and place it in the oven beside the cookware.
3. Microwave on 100% power for 1 minute. If the dish is
warm, it should not be used for microwave cooking.
Combination Cooking
• Glass or glass-ceramic baking containers are
recommended. Be sure not to use items with metal
trim as it may cause arcing (sparking) with oven wall
or oven shelf, damaging the cookware, the shelf, or
the oven.
• Heat-resistant plastic microwave cookware (safe to
450°F) may be used, but is not recommended for
foods that require crusting or all-around browning,
because plastic is a poor conductor of heat.
Convection Cooking
• Metal Pans are recommended for all types of baked
products, but especially where browning or crusting is
important.
• Dark or dull inish metal pans are best for breads and
pies because they absorb heat and produce a crisper
crust.
• Shiny aluminum pans are better for cakes, cookies,
or mufins because these pans relect heat and help
produce a light, tender crust.
• Glass or glass-ceramic casserole or baking dishes
are best suited for egg and cheese recipes due to the
cleanability of glass.

This section discusses the concepts behind microwave cooking and introduces you to the basics you need to
know to operate your microwave oven. Please read this information before using your oven.

AUDIBLE SIGNALS
Audible signals are available to guide you when setting
and using your oven:
• A tone will sound each time you touch a pad.
• Melody signal the end of a Timer countdown.
• Melody signal the end of a cooking cycle.
CLOCK
When your microwave oven is irst plugged in or after
a power failure, the Display will show "PLEASE SET
TIME OF DAY". If a time of day is not set, ":" (a colon
will show on the Display until you touch "CLOCK".
Example: To set the clock for 10:30(AM).
INTERRUPTING COOKING
You can stop the oven during a cycle by opening the
door. The oven stops heating and the fan stops, but the
light stays on. To restart cooking, close the door and

If you do not want to continue cooking, open the
door and touch STOP/CLEAR.
CHILD LOCK
Use this safety feature to lock the control panel when
you are cleaning the oven, or so children cannot use
the oven unsupervised.

VENT FAN
Your microwave oven can be used as a timer. You can
set up to 99 minutes and 59 seconds.
The bottom of the control panel controls the 5-speed
vent fan.
Example: To set Level 4.

will not turn the fan off. You cannot turn the vent fan
off during microwave cooking.
CUSTOM COOK
CUSTOM COOK lets you to recall one cooking
instruction previously placed in memory and begin
cooking quickly.
Example: To memorize for 2 minutes.

LEVELS
COOKING WITH MORE THAN
ONE COOK CYCLE
HIGH power cooking does not always give you the
best results with foods that need slower cooking, such
as roasts, baked goods, or custards. Your oven has 10
power settings in addition to HIGH.
For best results, some recipes call for one Power
Level for a certain length of time, and another Power
Level for another length of time. Your oven can be set
to change from one to another automatically, for up to
three cycles if the irst heating cycle is defrost or the
last at 0% power.
Example: To cook food for 7 minutes 30 seconds
at 70% power.
Example: To cook food for 3 minutes at 100% power
and then 70% power for 7 minutes 30 seconds.

AUTO DEFROST
WEIGHT CONVERSION TABLE
Five defrost sequences are preset in the oven.
The auto defrost feature provides you with the best
defrosting method for frozen foods. The Auto Defrost
Table will show you which defrost sequence is
recommended for the food you are defrosting.
For added convenience, the Auto Defrost includes a
built-in beep mechanism that reminds you to check,
turn over, separate, or rearrange to get best defrost
results. Five different defrost settings are provided.

You are probably used to food weights as being in
pounds and ounces that are fractions of a pound (for
example, 4 ounces equals 1/4 pound). However, in

pound, you can use the following table to convert the

OPERATING TIPS
• For best results, remove ish, shellish, meat, and
poultry from its original closed paper or plastic
package (wrapper). Otherwise, the wrap will hold
steam and juice close to the foods, which can cause
the outer surface of the foods to cook.
• For best results, shape your ground meat into the
form of a doughnut before freezing. When defrosting,
scrape off thawed meat when the beep sounds and
continue defrosting.
• Place foods in a shallow container or on a microwave
roasting rack to catch drippings.

DEFROSTING TIPS
• When using Auto Defrost, the weight to be entered
is the net weight in pounds and tenths of pounds (the
weight of the food minus the container).
• Before starting, make sure you have removed any of
the metal twist-ties which often come with frozen food
bags, and replace them with strings or elastic bands.
• Open containers such as cartons before they are
placed in the oven.
• Always slit or pierce plastic pouches or packaging.
• If food is foil wrapped, remove foil and place the
food in a suitable container.
• Slit the skins, if any, of frozen food such as sausage.
• Bend plastic pouches of food to ensure even
defrosting.
• Always underestimate defrosting time. If defrosted
food is still icy in the center, return it to the microwave
oven for more defrosting.
• The length of defrosting time varies according to how
solidly the food is frozen.
• The shape of the package affects how quickly
food will defrost. Shallow packages will defrost more
quickly than a deep block.
• As food begins to defrost, separate the pieces

• Use small pieces of aluminum foil to shield parts
of food such as chicken wings, leg tips, ish tails, or
areas that start to get warm. Make sure the foil does
not touch the sides, top, or bottom of the oven. The
foil can damage the oven lining.

SENSOR OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
Sensor Cook allows you to cook most of your favorite
foods without selecting cooking times and power levels.
The oven automatically determines required cooking
time for each food item. When the internal sensor
detects a certain amount of humidity coming from the
food, it will tell the oven how much longer to heat.
The display will show the remaining heating time.
For best results for cooking by Sensor, follow these
recommendations.
Using SENSOR COOK lets you heat common
microwave-prepared foods without needing to program
times and Cook Powers. SENSOR COOK has preset
Cook Power for 6 food categories.
Example: To cook rice.

procedures for operating each convection function.

the oven will automatically hold at the preheated
temperature for 30 minutes.
Please read these instructions carefully.
Convection cooking circulates hot air through the oven
cavity with a fan. The constantly moving air surrounds
the food to heat the outer portion quickly, creating even
browning and sealed-in lavor by the constant motion
of hot air over the food surfaces. Your oven uses
convection cooking whenever you use the Convection
Button. DO NOT USE THE OVEN WITHOUT THE
TURNTABLE IN PLACE.
PRECAUTIONS
• The oven cavity, door, turntable, roller rest, metal tray,
metal rack, and cooking utensils will become very hot.
USE THICK OVEN GLOVES when removing the food,
cooking utensils, metal rack, metal tray, and turntable
from the oven after convection cooking.
• Do not use lightweight plastic containers, plastic
wraps, or paper products during any convection cycle.
1. Always use the metal rack on the turntable when
convection cooking.
2. Do not cover turntable or metal rack with aluminum
foil. It interferes with the low of air that cooks the
food.
3. Round pizza pans are excellent cooking utensils for
many convection-only items. Choose pans that do
not have extended handles.
4. Use convection cooking for items like souflés,
breads, cookies, angel food cakes, pizza, and for
some meat and ish cooking.

can be used for cooking in convection mode or
combination mode.
6. You do not need to use any special techniques
to adapt your favorite oven recipes to convection
cooking; however, you need to lower oven
temperature by 25°F from recommended temperature
mentioned in package instructions when cooking
packaged food in convection mode.
7. When baking cakes, cookies, breads, rolls, or
other baked foods, most recipes call for preheating.
Preheat the empty oven just as you do a regular
oven. You can start heavier dense foods such as
meats, casseroles, and poultry without preheating.
8. All heatproof cookware or metal utensils can be
used in convection cooking.
9. As in conventional cooking, the distance of the
food from the heat source affects cooking results.

CARING FOR YOUR
MICROWAVE OVEN
To make sure your microwave oven looks good
and works well for a long time, you should maintain
it properly. For proper care, please follow these
instructions carefully.
For interior surfaces: Wash
often with warm, sudsy water
and a sponge or soft cloth. Use
only mild, nonabrasive soaps
or a mild detergent. Be sure to
keep the areas clean where
the door and oven frame
touch when closed. Wipe well
with clean cloth. Over time,
stains can occur on the
surfaces as the result of food particles spattering during
cooking. This is normal.
To clean grass tray and
rotating ring, wash in mild,
sudsy water; for heavily
soiled areas use a mild
cleanser and scouring
sponge. The glass tray and
rotating ring are
dishwasher safe.
For stubborn soil, boil a cup of
water in the oven for 2 to 3
minutes. Steam will soften the
soil. To get rid of odors inside
the oven, boil a cup of water
with some lemon juice or
vinegar in it.
For exterior surfaces and
control panel: Use a soft cloth
with spray glass cleaner. Apply
the spray glass cleaner to the
soft cloth; do not spray directly
on the oven.
NOTE: Abrasive cleansers,
steel wool pads, gritty wash
cloths, some paper towels,
etc., can damage the control panel and the interior and
exterior oven surfaces.

CLEANING THE GREASE
FILTERS
CHARCOAL FILTER
REPLACEMENT
1. Unplug the microwave oven.
If your oven is vented inside, the charcoal ilter should
be replaced every 6 to 12 months, and more often
if necessary. The charcoal ilter cannot be cleaned.
To order a new charcoal ilter, contact the Parts
Department at your nearest Authorized Service Center.
2. To remove grease ilters, slide each ilter to the side.
Pull ilters downward and push to the other side. The
ilter will drop out.
1. Unplug the microwave oven.
2. Remove the two vent grille mounting screws.
3. Soak grease ilters in hot water and a mild detergent.
Scrub and swish to remove embedded dirt and
grease. Rinse well and shake to dry. Do not clean
ilters with ammonia, corrosive cleaning agents
such as lye-based oven cleaners, or place them
in a dishwasher. The ilters will turn black or
could be damaged.
3. Tip the grille forward, then lift out to remove.
4. Remove the bulb holder
5. Slide a new charcoal ilter into place.
The ilter should rest at the angle shown.
4. To replace grease ilters, slide ilter in the frame slot
on one side of the opening. Push ilter upward and

2. Remove the bulb cover mounting screws.
3. Replace bulb(s) with candelabra-base 20 watt bulb.
4. Replace bulb cover and mounting screw.
5. Plug in the microwave oven.
OVEN LIGHT REPLACEMENT
1. Unplug the microwave oven.
2. Remove the vent grille mounting screws.
3. Tip the cover forward, then lift out to remove.
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q. Can I use a rack in my microwave oven so that I
may reheat or cook in two levels at a time?
A. Only use the rack that is supplied with your
microwave oven. Use of any other rack can result
in poor cooking performance and/or arcing and may
damage your oven.
Q. Can I use either metal or aluminum pans in my
microwave oven?
A. Usable metal includes aluminum foil for shielding
(use small, lat pieces), and shallow foil trays (if
tray is 3/4 inch deep and illed with food to absorb
microwave energy). Never allow metal to touch walls
or door.
Q. Sometimes the door of my microwave oven
appears wavy. Is this normal?
A. This appearance is normal and does not affect the
operation of your oven.
Q. The glass tray does not move.
A. • The glass tray is not correctly in place. It should be
correct-side up and sitting irmly on the center hub.
• The support is not operating correctly. Remove the
glass tray and restart the oven. Cooking without
the glass tray can give you poor results.
Q. Why does the dish become hot when I
microwave food in it? I thought that this should
not happen.
A. As the food becomes hot it will conduct the heat to
he dish. Use hot pads to remove food after cooking.

5. Replace the bulb with a candelabra-base 20 watt
bulb.
6. Replace the bulb holder, if damaged.
7. Slide the bottom of the vent grille into place. Push
the bottom until it snaps into place. Replace the
mounting screws.
Q. What does standing time mean?
A. Standing time means that food should be taken
out of the oven and covered for additional time after
cooking. This process allows the cooking to inish,
saves energy, and frees the oven for other purpose.
Q. Can I pop popcorn in my microwave oven?
How do I get the best results?
A. Yes. Pop packaged microwave popcorn following
manufacturer’s guidelines or use the preprogrammed
Popcorn pad.
Do not use regular paper bags. Use the listening test
by stopping the oven as soon as the popping slows
to a pop every one or two seconds. Do not try to
repop unpopped kernels. You can also use special
microwave poppers. When using a popper, be sure
to follow manufacturer’s directions. Do not pop
popcorn in glass utensils.
Q. Why does steam come out of the air exhaust
vent?
A. Steam is normally produced during cooking. The
microwave oven has been designed to vent this
steam out the top vent.

OVENPROOF GLASS
(treated for high intensity heat):
utility dishes, loaf dishes, pie plates, cake
plates, liquid measuring cups, casseroles
and bowls without metallic trim.
METAL UTENSILS:
Metal shields the food from microwave energy and produces
uneven cooking. Also avoid metal skewers, thermometers, or foil
trays. Metal utensils can cause arcing, which can damage your
microwave oven.
CHINA:
bowls, cups, serving plates, and platters
without metallic trim.
METAL DECORATION:
Metal-trimmed or metal-banded dinnerware, casserole dishes,
etc. The metal trim interferes with normal cooking and may
damage the oven.
PLASTIC:
Plastic wrap (as a cover)-- lay the plastic
wrap loosely over the dish and press it to
the sides.
Vent plastic wrap by turning back one
edge slightly to allow excess steam to
escape. The dish should be deep enough
so that the plastic wrap will not touch the
food. As the food heats it may melt the
plastic wrap wherever the wrap touches
the food.
Use plastic dishes, cups, semi-rigid freezer
containers and plastic bags only for
short cooking time. Use these with care
because the plastic may soften from
the heat of the food.
ALUMINUM FOIL:
Avoid large sheets of aluminum foil because they hinder cooking
and may cause harmful arcing. Use small pieces of foil to shield
poultry legs and wings. Keep ALL aluminum foil at least 1 inch
from the side walls and door of the oven.
WOOD:
Wooden bowls and boards will dry out and may split or crack
when you use them in the microwave oven. Baskets react in the
same way.
TIGHTLY COVERED UTENSILS:
Be sure to leave openings for steam to escape from covered
utensils. Pierce plastic pouches of vegetables or other food items
before cooking. Tightly closed pouches could explode.
PAPER:
Paper towels, waxed paper, paper
napkins, and paper plates with no metallic
trim or design. Look for the manufacturer's
label for use in the microwave oven.
BROWN PAPER:
Avoid using brown paper bags.
They absorb too much heat and could burn.
NOTE:
Do not use recycled paper products in the
microwave oven. They sometimes contain
impurities that cause arcing and sparking.
FLAWED OR CHIPPED UTENSILS:
Any utensil that is cracked, lawed, or chipped may break in the
oven.
NEVER use paper products in the
convection oven.
METAL TWIST TIES:
Remove metal twist ties from plastic or paper bags.
They become hot and could cause a ire.

BEFORE CALLING FOR
SERVICE
If food cooks unevenly:
Check the following list to be sure a service call is
really necessary. A quick reference of this manual as
well as reviewing additional information on items to
check may prevent an unneeded service call.
If nothing on the oven operates:
• be sure food is evenly shaped.
• be sure food is completely defrosted before cooking.
• check placement of aluminum foil strips used to
prevent overcooking.
• check for a blown circuit fuse or a tripped main circuit
breaker.
• check if oven is properly connected to electric circuit
in house.
• check that controls are set properly.
If the oven interior light does not works:
• the light bulb is loose or defective.
If oven will not cook:
• check that control panel was programmed correctly.
• check that door is irmly closed.
• check that Start was pressed.
• check that probe was inserted correctly into
receptacle.
• check that timer wasn’t started instead of a cook
function.
If oven takes longer than normal to cook or cooks
too rapidly:
• be sure the Power Level is programmed properly.
If the time of day clock does not always keep
correct time:
If food is undercooked:
• check recipe to be sure all directions (amount, time,
and power levels) were correctly followed.
• be sure microwave oven is on a separate circuit.
• be sure food is completely defrosted before cooking.
If food is overcooked:
• check recipe to be sure all directions (amount, power
level, time, size of dish) were followed.
If arcing (sparks) occur:
• be sure microwavable dishes were used.
• be sure wire twist ties weren’t used.
• be sure oven wasn’t operated when empty.
• make sure metal rack (if used) is properly installed on
4 supports.
If the Display shows a time counting down but the
oven is not cooking:
• check that door is irmly closed.
• check that timer wasn’t started instead of a cooking
function.
• check that the power cord is fully inserted into the
outlet receptacle.
• be sure the oven is the only appliance on the
electrical circuit.
