21Touch and holdTouchandholdanitemonthescreenbytouchingitandnotliftingyourfingeruntilanactionoccurs.Forexample,toopenacontact'savailableoptions,touchandholdthecontactintheContactslistuntilthecontextmenuopens.DragTouchandholdanitemforamomentandthen,withoutliftingyourfinger,moveyourfingeronthescreenuntilyoureachthetargetposition.YoucandragitemsontheHomescreentorepositionthem.Swipe or slideToswipeorslide,quicklymoveyourfingeracrossthesurfaceofthescreen,withoutpausingwhenyoufirsttouchit(soyoudon’tdraganiteminstead).Forexample,youcanslidethescreenupordowntoscrollthroughalist,orbrowsethroughthedifferentHomescreencanvasesbyswipingfromlefttoright(andviceversa).Double-tapDouble-taptozoomonawebpageoramap.Forexample,quicklydouble-tapasectionofawebpagetoadjustthatsectiontofitthewidthofthescreen.Youcanalsodouble-taptozoominandoutwhenviewingapictureandwhenusingMaps.Double-tapawordtohighlightit.Double-tapcanalsoactivatetheKnockONfeaturetoturnthetouchscreenonoroff.
22Pinch-to-ZoomUseyourindexfingerandthumbinapinchingorspreadingmotiontozoominoroutwhenusingthebrowser,Maps,orwhenbrowsingpictures.Rotate the screenFrommanyapplicationsandmenus,theorientationofthescreenadjuststothedevice'sphysicalorientation.NOTE:•Toselectanitem,touchthecenteroftheicon.•Donotpresstoohard;thetouchscreenissensitiveenoughtopickupalight,yetfirmtouch.•Usethetipofyourfingertotouchtheoptionyouwant.Becarefulnottotouchanyotherkeys.Home screenSimplyswipeyourfingertotheleftorrighttoviewthepanels.Youcancustomizeeachpanelwithapps,downloads,widgetsandwallpapers.TheQuickKeysareavailableatthebottompartoftheHomescreenandprovideeasy,one-touchaccesstothefunctionsyouusethemost.
