In case of an emergency, the Power Plug must remain readily accessible. Check the specification page of this owner’s manual to be certain of the current requirements. Do not overload wall outlets. Overloaded wall outlets, loose or damaged wall outlets, extension cords, frayed power cords, or damaged or cracked wire insulation are dangerous. Any of these conditions could result in electric shock or fire. Periodically examine the cord of your device, and if its appearance indicates damage or deterioration, unplug it, discontinue use of the device, and have the cord replaced with an exact replacement part by an authorized service center. Protect the power cord from physical or mechanical abuse, such as being twisted, kinked, pinched, closed in a door, or walked upon. Pay particular attention to plugs, wall outlets, and the point where the cord exits the device. Getting Started 3 This device is equipped with a portable battery or accumulator. 1 Getting Started Safety way to remove the battery from the equipment: Remove the old battery or battery pack, follow the steps in reverse order than the assembly. To prevent contamination of the environment and bring on possible threat to human and animal health, the old battery or the battery put it in the appropriate container at designated collection points. Do not dispose of batteries or battery together with other waste. It is recommended that you use local, free reimbursement systems batteries and accumulators. Replacement of Battery LG TV : Selects the LG TV function. - Press and hold LG TV on the remote control for about 3 seconds, “OFF - AUTO POWER” is displayed. Remove the battery cover on the rear of the remote control, and insert the battery with 4 and 5 matched correctly. HDMI IN : Selects the HDMI IN function. - Press and hold HDMI IN on the remote control for about 3 seconds. “OFF - TV REMOTE” is displayed. PORTABLE : Selects the PORTABLE function. - Press and hold PORTABLE on the remote control for about 3 seconds, “OFF - AUTO DISPLAY” is displayed. dM (Play/Pause) : Starts playback. / Pauses playback. BASS LEVEL o/p : Adjusts sound level of Bass. Getting Started Installing the sound bar You can hear the sound by connecting the unit to the other device : TV, Blu-ray disc player, DVD player, etc. Mounting the main unit on a wall You can mount the main unit on a wall. >>Caution >>Caution yy For best performance of wireless connection such as Bluetooth, do not install the unit on Metallic furniture because wireless connection communicates through a module positioned on the bottom of the unit. Because it is difficult to make a connection after installing this unit, you should connect the cables before installation. Preparation materials Unit yy Be careful not to make scratches on the surface of the Unit when installing or moving them. Wall bracket install guide ,,Note For the convenient button usage, it is recommended to take some distance between the soundbar and your TV when you install the sound bar. 1 Getting Started Place the unit in front of the TV and connect it to the device you want. (Refer to 11 - 17) 9 Wall bracket (Not supplied) Screws (A) Wall plug 1. Match the TV’s BOTTOM EDGE of Wall bracket install guide with the bottom of TV and attach to the position. TV 10 1 Getting Started 2. When you mount it on a wall (concrete), use the wall plugs. You should drill some holes. A guide sheet (Wall bracket install guide) is supplied to drill. Use the sheet to check the point to drill. 6. Fix the hooks of the unit on the brackets as shown below. Getting Started 7. If you want to protective inflow of foreign substance, insert foreign substance-protective sponge as shown below (optional). 3. Remove the Wall bracket install guide. 4. Fix the brackets with screws (A) as shown in the illustration below. ,,Note To detach the unit, perform it in reverse order. >>Caution ,,Note Screws (A) and Wall Plugs are not supplied for mounting the unit. We recommend the Hilti (HUD-1 6 x 30) for the mounting. 5. Connect the botton of the unit faced with the brackets on the wall. yy Do not install this unit upside down. It can damage the parts of this unit or be the cause of personal injury. yy Do not hang onto the installed unit and avoid any impact to the unit. yy Secure the unit firmly to the wall so that it does not fall off. If the unit falls off, it may result in an injury or damage to the product. yy When the unit is installed on a wall, please make sure that a child does not pull any of connecting cables, as it may cause it to fall. Connecting 11 Organizing cables Connecting to your TV Organize the cable with cable holder. Please connect with this unit and TV using the optical digital cable or HDMI cable considering the state of the TV. 1. Remove the protective vinyl of the sticker. 2. Attach and fix the cable holder as shown below. 3. Insert cables to the cable holder and lock the cable holder. Using an OPTICAL cable Optical cable Connecting the AC Adapter Connect the speaker to the power supply with the supplied AC adapter. 1. Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC adapter. 2. Connect the AC adapter cable to DC IN adapter input. 3. Plug the AC power cord into an AC outlet. 2. Set the input source to OPTICAL. Press repeatedly F on the remote control or F on the unit until the function is selected. ,,Note yy You can enjoy the TV audio through the speakers of this unit. In the case of some TV models, you must select the external speaker option from the TV menu. (For details, reference your TV user manual.) yy Set up the sound output of TV to listen to the sound through this unit : TV setting menu [ [Sound] [ [TV Sound output] [ [External speaker (Optical)] >>Caution Only use the AC adapter supplied with this device. Using any other power cable or power supply may cause damage to the device and void your warranty. yy Details of TV setting menu vary depending on the manufacturers or models of your TV. 2 Connecting 1. Connect the OPTICAL IN jack on the back of the unit to OPTICAL OUT jack on the TV using an OPTICAL cable. 12 Connecting LG Sound Sync With wired connection 1. Connect your LG TV to the unit by using an optical cable. You can control some functions of this unit by your TV’s remote control with LG Sound Sync. It is compatible with the LG TV that is supported LG Sound Sync. Make sure of the LG Sound Sync logo on your TV. 2 Optical cable Connecting Controllable function by LG TV’s remote control : Volume up/down, mute Refer to the TV’s instruction manual for the details of LG Sound Sync. Make one of the following connections, depending on the capabilities of your equipment. ,,Note yy You can also use the remote control of this unit while using LG Sound Sync. If you use TV's remote control again, the unit synchronizes with the TV. yy When the connection fails, make sure of the condition of the TV and power. yy Make sure of the condition of this unit and the connection in the cases below when using LG Sound Sync. -- turn off the unit. -- Changing the function to the others. -- Disconnecting the optical cable. yy The amount of time to turn off this unit is different depending on your TV when you set AUTO POWER function to ON. 2. Set up the sound output of TV to listen to the sound through this unit : TV setting menu [ [Sound] [ [TV Sound output] [ [LG Sound Sync (Optical)] 3. Turn on the unit by pressing 1 (Power) on the remote control. 4. Select OPTICAL function by using F on the remote control or F on the unit until the function is selected. You can see “LG OPT” on the display window if connecting normally between this unit and your TV. ,,Note Details of TV setting menu vary depending on the manufacturers or models of your TV. With wireless connection 1. Turn on the unit by pressing 1 (Power) on the remote control. 2. Select LG TV function by using F on the remote control or F on the unit until the function is selected. 3. Set up LG Sound Sync (Wireless) on the TV. Refer to the TV’s instruction manual. “PAIRED” appears on the display window for about 3 seconds and then you can see “LG TV” on the display window if connecting normally between this unit and your TV. ,,Note If you turned off the unit directly by pressing 1 (Power), LG Sound Sync (Wireless) will be disconnected. Connecting 13 Using an HDMI cable HDMI cable Checklist If you connect this unit to a TV that supports HDMI CEC and ARC (Audio Return Channel), you can enjoy the TV audio through the speakers of this unit without connecting the optical cable. Some HDMI cables do not support the ARC function, this can result in no sound output. Connect the HDMI OUT (TV ARC) jack on the back of the unit to ARC jack on the TV using an HDMI cable. When connecting this unit to the TV, if there is no sound, there might be a problem with the HDMI cable. Therefore connect this unit to the TV and check whether the Type A, High speed HDMI™ Cable with Ethernet. HIGH SPEED HDMI CABLE HDMI cable HIGH SPEED HDMI CABLE WITH ETHERNET (X) 2 (X) Connecting STANDARD HDMI CABLE WITH ETHERNET (O) Enjoy rich sound broadcast of the channel with the sound bar ,,Note yy HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control): Using a single remote control, you have the ability to operate CEC compatible devices (TV, Sound Bar, Blue-ray player, etc.) yy You can also enjoy extra functions such as Bluetooth with F on remote control or F on this unit. When you go back to live TV channel after using the extra functions (Bluetooth) of this audio system, you should choose your preferred speaker on TV to enjoy the sound from this audio system again. Connection through HDMI Cable* Your television must support the newest HDMI features (HDMI CEC1) / ARC (Audio Return Channel)) to fully enjoy the Live broadcasting channel with audio system through an HDMI cable. Unless your TV supports these HDMI features, the audio system should be connected through an OPTICAL cable. 1) HDMI CEC (High-Definition Multimedia Interface Consumer Electronics Control) Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) is an HDMI feature designed to allow the user to command and control the CEC-enabled devices, that are connected through HDMI by using only one of their remote controls. * Trade names for CEC are SimpLink (LG) , Anynet+ (Samsung), BRAVIA Sync (Sony), EasyLink (Philips), etc. 14 Connecting What is SIMPLINK? ARC (Audio Return Channel) function The ARC function enables an HDMI capable TV to send the audio stream to HDMI OUT of the unit. Some functions of this unit are controlled by the TV’s remote control when this unit and LG TV’s with SIMPLINK are connected through HDMI connection. 2 Controllable functions by LG TV’s remote control : Power on/off, volume up/down, etc. Connecting Refer to the TV owner’s manual for the details of SIMPLINK function. LG TV’s with SIMPLINK function has the logo as shown above. ,,Note yy Depending on the state of the unit, some SIMPLINK operation may differ from your purpose or not work. yy Depending on a TV or a player which is connected with this unit, SIMPLINK operation may differ from your purpose. To use this function : -- Your TV must support the HDMI-CEC and ARC function and the HDMI-CEC and ARC must be set to On. -- The setting method of HDMI-CEC and ARC may differ depending on the TV. For details about ARC function, refer to your TV manual. -- You must use the HDMI cable (Type A, High Speed HDMI™ cable with Ethernet). -- You must connect the HDMI OUT (TV ARC) on the unit with HDMI IN of the TV that supports ARC function using an HDMI cable. -- You can connect only one Sound bar to TV compatible with ARC. ,,Note yy ARC function is automatically selected when ARC signal comes in from TV, no matter what kind of the function you are using. yy You can enjoy the TV audio through the speakers of this unit. In the case of some TV models, you must select the external speaker option from the TV menu. (For details, reference your TV user manual.) yy Set up the sound output of TV to listen to the sound through this unit : TV setting menu [ [Sound] [ [TV Sound output] [ [External speaker (HDMI ARC)] yy Details of TV setting menu vary depending on the manufacturers or models of your TV. Connecting 15 Additional information for HDMI yy When you connect an HDMI or DVI compatible device make sure of the following: -Try switching off the HDMI/DVI device and this player. Next, switch on the HDMI/DVI device and leave it for around 30 seconds, then switch on this player. -The connected device’s video input is set correctly for this unit. HDMI connection For enjoying sound only You can enjoy the sound from the external device you connect. yy Not all HDCP-compatible HDMI or DVI devices will work with this player. -The picture will not be displayed properly with non-HDCP device. ,,Note yy If a connected HDMI device does not accept the audio output of the player, the HDMI device’s audio sound may be distorted or may not output. yy Changing the resolution when the connection has already been established may result in malfunctions. To solve the problem, turn off the player and then turn it on again. yy When the HDMI connection with HDCP is not verified, TV screen is changed to black screen. In this case, check the HDMI connection, or disconnect the HDMI cable. yy If there are noises or lines on the screen, please check the HDMI cable (length is generally limited to 4.5 m. yy You cannot change the video resolution in the HDMI IN mode. Change the video resolution of the connected component. yy If the video output signal is abnormal when your personal computer is connected to HDMI IN jack, change the resolution of your personal computer to 576p, 720p, 1080i or 1080p. To the Blu-ray disc player, DVD player, etc. 1. Connect HDMI IN jack on the back of the unit to HDMI OUT jack on the audio device such as Bluray disc player, DVD player, etc. 2. Set the input source to HDMI IN. Press repeatedly F on the remote control or F on the unit until the function is selected. 2 Connecting -The connected device is compatible with 720 x 576p, 1280 x 720p, 1920 x 1080i or 1920 x 1080p video input. Optional equipment connection 16 Connecting For enjoying both sound and picture PORTABLE IN connection You can enjoy both sound and picture from the external device you connect. 2 Connecting Listening to music from your portable player The unit can be used to play the music from many types of portable players or external devices. 1. Connect HDMI IN jack on the back of the unit to HDMI OUT jack on the external device such as Blu-ray disc player, DVD player, etc. 2. Connect HDMI OUT (TV ARC) jack on the back of the unit to HDMI IN jack on the TV. 3. Set the input source to HDMI IN. Press repeatedly F on the remote control or F on the unit until the function is selected. ,,Note HDMI OUT jack is for TV connection. Even though PCM multi channel is inputted to the unit through an HDMI cable, the unit can only output 2 channel to TV. 1. Connect the portable player to the PORTABLE IN connector of the unit. 2. Turn the power on by pressing 1 (Power). 3. Select the PORTABLE function by pressing F on the remote control or F on the unit until the function is selected. 4. Turn on the portable player or external device and start playing it. Connecting 17 OPTICAL IN connection Connecting IR REPEATER Connect an optical output jack of external devices to the OPTICAL IN jack. IR Repeater is supplied as an accessory with the unit in order to communicate well with the remote control and the TV. Remote control of your TV may not be operated if the unit hides the remote sensor of the TV. Optical cable You can solve the problem by connecting IR Repeater with LG TV. 2 Connecting To the optical output jack of external device 1. Connect the OPTICAL IN jack on the back of the unit to optical out jack of your TV (or digital device etc.) 2. Select the input source to OPTICAL by pressing F on the unit repeatedly, or pressing OPTICAL on the remote control or until the function is selected. 3. Listen to sound from the connected device. 1. Remove the protective vinyl of IR Repeater. 2. Put IR Repeater on the back of the unit with the sensor of IR Repeater facing the remote sensor of the TV. 3. Connect the end of IR Repeater to IR REPEATER jack. >>Caution yy Do not block ventilation when you put IR Repeater on the unit. yy Do not disconnect the power cord. If you want to use IR Repeater, keep the unit on standby mode. ,,Note yy Depending on your TV, some or all buttons may not be function on the TV. yy It is recommended to attach an IR Repeater sensor on the rear panel of the unit. 18 Connecting Initial Multi-Room Setup When installing the MUSICflow product for the first time, you can choose two types of connection as below. 2 Wired connection (MUSICflow Mesh Network Connection) Connecting Connect your speaker to the home router using LAN cable. Then you can connect the additional MUSICflow products (Optional) to your home network wirelessly. Refer to “Connecting the speakers to your Home Network (Additional)” on page 29. Installing “Music Flow Player” App Through Apple “App Store” or Google “Play Store” 1. Tap the Apple “App Store” icon or Google “Play Store” icon. 2. Type in “Music Flow Player” in the search bar and tap “Search”. 3. Select “Music Flow Player” in the search result list to download. ,,Note yy Music Flow Player app will be available in version of the software as follow; Android OS : Ver 4.0 (ICS) (or later) iOS O/S : Ver 6.0 (or later) yy Depending on the device, “Music Flow Player” app may not work. LAN Cable Wireless connection (Standard Wireless Connection) Through QR code Install “Music Flow Player” app through QR code. Scan the QR code using the scanning application. When the wired connection is unavailable between your speaker and home router, this unit offers music streaming service within home router’s Wi-Fi coverage. You can select the various sound effects. 44 Operating Different ways of listening to music There are a number of differing ways of listening to music : Group, Surround and Seamless playbacks. ,,Note 3 Group Playback You can group multiple speakers linked to the Music Flow Player app and play the same music through all the connected speakers in the same group. 1. Select [Connected Speakers] on the side menu of Music Flow Player app. If you want to enjoy the group playback and Surround playback, it is recommended that at least one speaker is connected by LAN cable. To change speaker connection setting when all the speaker have been already connected wirelessly, reset all the speaker and connect again after connecting the one speaker of them. Operating In the wireless connection, the smoothness of playback is subject to the location of installed speaker. Install the speakers at a short distance from the router. To enjoy the smooth group playback or surround playback wirelessly, it is recommended to use the router supporting 802.11n. In this case, set the router’s security mode setting to OPEN or AES. 2. After the left rear speaker connection, press (Add) button on the right rear speaker. yy Configuring home cinema mode with existing speakers, you need to update software of the speakers to the latest version. yy Check every speaker’s network connection when you cannot set the speakers. Operating 47 Seamless playback You can easily change the playing speaker from your smart device or the speaker to the another speaker without pause. Changing playing speaker from a smart device to a speaker To use Seamless playback, you have to set up Auto Music Play to On. (Page 52) ,,Note yy It is not supported when you go out of the house with your smart device. yy Wi-Fi function on smart device must be turned on. yy If the source is Portable In and Bluetooth, seamless play is not supported. If no sound coming out from the speaker during playback, check the switched speaker’s volume is set to 0. 1. The channel information is updated to the selected channel. 3 Operating When your smart device is placed in a position where it cannot connect to the home network, select a nearby speaker in the [Mesh Network direct connection] list and then connect the smart device to the speaker. 52 Operating Auto Music Play Sensitivity Settings You can easily change the rendering device from your smart device or a speaker to another speaker by approaching your smart device to the desired speaker. Download the application from Apple “App Store” or Google “Play Store”. 54 Operating Using a Bluetooth Wireless Technology About Bluetooth Bluetooth is wireless communication technology for short range connection. The sound may be interrupted when the connection interfered by the other electronic wave or you connect the bluetooth in the other rooms. 3 Operating Connecting individual devices under Bluetooth wireless technology does not incur any charges. Multi-Pairing is not supported. yy You can enjoy using Bluetooth when using Phone, MP3, Notebook, etc.. yy The more distance between the unit and the bluetooth device, the lower the sound quality becomes. yy The Bluetooth connection will be disconnected when the unit is turned off or the Bluetooth device gets too far from the unit. yy If the Bluetooth connection is disconnected, connect the Bluetooth device again. yy When a Bluetooth device is not connected, “BT READY” appears on the display window. yy If you set the Wi-Fi function in the state of unconnected network, Bluetooth and Wireless TV Sound Sync may not be connected. DRC, Night, Auto volume, AV Sync setting can be configured only on App or PC software. DRC (Dynamic Range Control) Make the sound clear when the volume is turned down (Dolby Digital only). Set to on DRC menu. AV Sync When receiving audio signals from TV, sound and images may not be matched. In the case, this function can adjust the delay time. You can set the time between 0 and 300 ms on AV Sync menu. Using your TV remote control You can control some functions of this unit by your TV remote control even by other company’s product. Controllable functions are volume up/down and mute. Press and hold OPTICAL on the remote control for about 3 seconds. “ON - TV REMOTE” appears and you can control this unit by your TV remote control. To check the status of this function, press and hold OPTICAL. To turn off this function, press and hold HDMI on the remote control for about 3 seconds. “OFF - TV REMOTE” is scrolled. 3 Operating yy Depending on the type of the device, you may not be able to use the Bluetooth function. Operating yy Some remote control may not be supported. yy Some remote control may not operate if you press repeatedly the volume button. Turn off the sound temporarily Press (Mute) to mute your unit. You can mute your unit, for example, to answer the telephone, “MUTE” is displayed in the display window. To cancel it, press (Mute) again on the remote control or change the volume level. Sleep timer setting This unit will turn off by itself after the time set. You can set Sleep timer between 15 minutes and 2 hour on Sleep timer menu. To cancel the Sleep timer you set, select Off. This unit will turn itself off to save electric consumption when the main unit is not connected to an external device and is not used for 20 minutes. It will also turn off after six hours if the Main unit is connected to a device using portable input. When network is connected, the speaker switches to the network standby mode. Then the LED indicator on the unit becomes dimmed in white. If network is disconnected, the speaker switches to the standby mode. Then the LED indicator on the unit turns red. Operating 57 AUTO POWER On/Off Auto Display Off / Dimmer This unit automatically turns on and off by an input source : Optical. Press and hold on the remote control for about 3 seconds, “ON - AUTO DISPLAY” appears and Auto Display off function is turned on. (Default: ON) When you turn on your TV or an external device connected to this unit, this unit recognizes the input signal and selects the optical function. You can hear the sound from your device. Press and hold WI-FI on the remote control for about 3 seconds, “ON - AUTO POWER” appears and AUTO POWER on function is turned on. Press and hold LG TV on the remote control for about 3 seconds, “OFF - AUTO POWER” is displayed. ,,Note yy After the unit is turned on by AUTO POWER function, it will be automatically turned off if there is no signal for a certain period of time from the external device. yy If you turned off the unit directly, it cannot be turned on automatically by AUTO POWER function. However the unit can be turned on by AUTO POWER function when optical signal comes in after 5 seconds of no signal. yy Depending on the connected device, this function may not operate. yy If you want to use AUTO POWER, SIMPLINK must be turned off. It takes for about 30 seconds to switch on or off SIMPLINK. yy You can set the Auto Power function only when this unit is turned on. yy If you turn off(Red LED) this unit in the network disconnected status, you cannot AUTO POWER On by LG Sound Sync(Wireless). Wi-Fi, PORTABLE, BT: If there is no key input for about 15 seconds, display will be darkened. To turn off this function, press and hold PORTABLE for about 3 seconds. “OFF - AUTO DISPLAY” is scrolled. Display window will be darkened if there is no key input for about 15 seconds in all functions. 3 Operating yy After the unit is turned on by AUTO POWER function, it will be automatically turned off if there is no signal for a certain period of time from the TV connected by LG Sound Sync (Optical). OPT, HDMI, LG TV, ARC: If there is no key input for about 15 seconds, display will be darkened and after about 5 seconds, display will be turned off. 58 Operating Sound adjustment Adjust volume level automatically This unit supports Auto volume function that automatically adjusts the volume level. You can set Auto Volume to On or Off on Auto Volume menu. Adjust the Bass 3 You can adjust the sound level of Bass. BASS : -5 dB to 5 dB Operating You can adjust the sound level of Bass using BASS LEVEL +/- on the remote control. Night mode Set Night mode to On to reduce the sound intensity and improve fineness and softness. You can set Night mode to On or Off on Night mode menu. Standby mode The speaker switches to the standby mode if there is no music playback or no button operation. Standby mode Option 1. If network is disconnected and there is no music playback and no button operation for 20 minutes, the speaker switches to the standby mode. Then “GOOD-BYE” appears on the display window and the LED indicator on the unit turns red. Option 2. If you press and hold 1/! on the unit or 1 on the remote control for about 3 seconds, the speaker switches to the standby mode. Then “GOOD-BYE” appears on the display window and the LED indicator on the unit turns red. Network standby mode Option 1. When network is connected but music is not played and buttons are not pressed for 20 minutes, the speaker switches to the network standby mode. Then the LED indicator on the unit becomes dimmed in white. Option 2. If you press 1/! on the unit or 1 on the remote control, the speaker switches to the network standby mode. Then the LED indicator on the unit becomes dimmed in white. Operating 59 Bluetooth standby mode If the Bluetooth standby mode is set to ON, the speaker switches Bluetooth standby mode when is turned off. In Bluetooth standby mode, Bluetooth and LG TV can be connected without Network connection. Bluetooth and LG TV are able to connect even if network is not connected. ,,Note yy Adjust volume level of the main unit to minimum. And then, press and hold VOL and LG TV on the remote control for about 3 seconds. Shows current setting status of Bluetooth standby mode. You can change the mode during scroll by pressing LG TV button. yy To use this function, you should turn on the AUTO POWER function. The power does not turn on. Is the power cord plugged into the outlet? Sound is not produced. Is the volume set to minimum? yy Connect the power plug to the outlet. yy Adjust the volume. yy When you are using connection with a external device (set top box, Bluetooth device etc.), adjust volume level of the device. 4 Troubleshooting Is the mute function activated? yy Press or adjust the volume level to cancel the mute function. Is the function selected properly? yy Check the input source and select the correct input source. The remote control does not work properly. Is the remote control too far from the unit? yy Operate the remote control within about 7 m. Is there an obstacle in the path of the remote control and the unit? yy Remove the obstacle. Are the batteries in the remote control exhausted? yy Replace the batteries with new one. The AUTO POWER function does not work. yy Check connection of the external device such as TV, DVD/Blu-Ray player or Bluetooth device. yy Check the state of SIMPLINK and turn off SIMPLINK. yy Depending on the connected device, this function may not operate. LG Sound Sync does not work. yy Check whether your LG TV supports LG Sound Sync. yy Check connection of LG Sound Sync. yy Check sound setting of your TV and this unit. Troubleshooting 61 Symptoms Cause & Solution When you feel the output sound of the unit is low. Check the details below and adjust the unit according to them. yy Switch [ON] state of DRC function to [OFF] on DRC menu. yy With the sound bar connected with TV, change the AUDIO DIGITAL OUT setting on TV Setup Menu from [PCM] to [AUTO] or [BITSTREAM]. yy With the sound bar connected with Player, change the AUDIO DIGITAL OUT setting on Player Setup Menu from [PCM] to [PRIMARY PASS-THROUGH] or [BITSTREAM]. yy Change Audio DRC setting on Player setup menu to [OFF] state. Network Cause & Solution Cannot connect the speaker to your home network. The wireless communication may be interrupted from household devices that are using radio frequencies. Move the speaker away from them. Media servers are not displayed on the device list. yy The firewall or anti-virus software on your media server is running. Turn off the firewall or anti-virus software running on your media server. Music Flow Player doesn’t work properly. Is the Music Flow Player plugged in? yy Make sure that the speaker is connected to the same network that your media server is connected. yy Plug in the Music Flow Player. Is the LAN cable connected to the wireless router and the Music Flow Player properly? yy Connect the LAN cable to the LAN port on the back of the Music FlowPlayer and to your wireless router. When the Music Flow Player is plugged in, does the Music Flow Player’s LED show it’s operating properly? yy If you experience troubles with connecting the Music Flow Player, try relocating the speaker closer to the wireless router or the Music Flow Player. If you restart the router? yy You need to turn the speaker’s power off and on again. Music Flow PC Software doesn’t work properly. Does the firewall on your PC or Mac set to enable? yy Disable all your firewalls and try to connect again. Refer to your firewall’s instruction or website. Is the LAN cable connected to the wireless router and your PC or Mac properly? yy Ensure that the speaker and your PC or Mac are correctly connected to the local area network and can access the internet. yy The wireless communication may be interrupted from household devices that are using radio frequencies. Move the speaker and your PC or Mac away from them. 4 Troubleshooting NOTES to use wireless Symptoms Cause & Solution This device may have wireless interference. yy Wireless may not operate normally in weak signal area. yy Do not install the device on metal furniture for optimum performance.
