Volume Control
Uslng the Controller, you can control the
volume on multiple devices using the
Controller. You can control indivrdual or
linked zones.
1. Press the Volume'l’» button on the Controller.
2. Use the scroll to ra|se or Iowerthe volume. Scroll|ng
clockwise will raise the volume, counterclockwise
wrll Iowerthe volume.
3. If you have multiple devrces connected, you can use
a master volume control (when in Party mode) by
adjustmg the volume for Linked Zone. To navigate
to an |nd|vidual zone, use the Volume llll) button to
go through the list. Use the scroll to raise or lower
the volume.
Using the IR Remote,you can control the
volume on |nd|vidual devlces such as the
Player or control mult|ple dev|ces when
m using the IR Remote With the Director
or Conductor. From the Director or
Conductor, you can control ind|vidual or
linked zones.

Navigating the User
Interface
The front panel of the Wireless Home Audio Director has
4 buttons that can be used for navigation and selection in
the user interface (Referto , mag for details). However,
the easiest way to navigate through the user interface
is using a remote control. The Director includes the
DMRIRSOO IR Remote Control or you can purchase the
optional Controller — Wireless-N Touchscreen Remote
(DMRW1000)forthe optimal experience.
Use the remote control to navigate and select options.
Use the up A and down V arrows to naVigate through
options. Press the OK button to select an option or press
the left arrow 4 to return to the preVious screen. Use the
Home 0 button to return to the home screen.
HomeScmen
Press the Home 0 button on the remote control once
from the Home menu ortwice from any other menu to go
to the Now Playing screensaver.
Rhapsody
Rhapsody
Rhapsody is a digital music service that lets you listen to
their entire catalog for one monthly price. Rhapsody's
catalog contains millions of songs and thousands of
artists. For information on signing up for Rhapsody, refer
to iignmLupjslesltapgzdy, page 14.

My Library allows you to connect to favorite tracks and
albums that you've bookmarked in Rhapsody's extensive
online music library. To bookmark tracks and albums in
Rhapsody Online, you need to access Rhapsody Online
from your computer and locate a track or album that you
want to add. To add the album or track, click the + (plus
sign) next to it and select Add to My Library.
- Artists Displays an alphabetical list of all of the artists
that have been added to My Library.
- Albums Displays an alphabetical list of album titles
that have been added to My Library.

Wireless Home Audio Director interface.
Artists
Selecting the Artists option will display an alphabetical list
of artists that are available on the media device.

the album and clicking the Play b/II button Will play all
of the tracks on the album. Clicking OK on an album title
Will display all the track titles on the album.

Select Network Use this option to select a wireless
network name (also known as an SSID) from the list of
avallable networks or enter a wrreless network name
manually by selecting Enter Network Name. To enter
the name manually, use the alphanumeric keypad on the
remote control to select the appropriate characters or use
the up and down arrows on the Navigatlon Halo to scroll
through the I|st of characters.To enterthe next character,
use the rlght arrow on the Navrgation Halo.

A NOTE: The Wireless network name is
case-sensitive. Capital letters can be found
immediately after the group of lowercase
letters.
Once the Wireless network name has been selected, a
screen will appear asking for the Wireless security mode
utilized on the network.
- Open If your network doesn’t have wireless security
enabled, the open option should be selected.
A NOTE: Linksys recommends using some form
of wireless security on your network to help
safeguard your personal information. ereless
security is typically configured on your router.
Refer to the documentation included with your
router for details on enabling wireless security.
- Shared If your network uses WEP security, select
this option and enter in WEP key number 1. Enter the
appropriate number of hexadecimal characters (“0" to
“9" and “A” to “F"). For 64-bit encryption, enter exactly
10 hexadecimal characters. For lZa—bit encryption,
enter exactly 26 hexadecimal characters.

Passphrase (also called a pre-shared key) of 8-63
characters.

Safely Eject
This feature is used to allow safe removal of a USB
device attached to the Wireless Home Audio Director.
To safely remove a USB deVice from the
Wireless Home Audio Director, perform the folloWing
steps:
1. Go to Settings > USB and click OK
2. Click OK on the remote control when the Safely Eject
option is displayed on the screen.
3. Once the message appears stating that it is safe to
remove the USB media, you can physically remove
the USB connector from the USB port on the
Wireless Home Audio Director.

defects in materials and workmanship under normal
use for the Warranty Period, which begins on the date of
purchase by the original end-user purchaser and lasts for
