  Wireless Thermometer RX Model: 308-1910 | TX Model:TX19  View temperature with a glance.  Precise real-time indoor and outdoor temperature with MIN/MAX readings in Fahrenheit or Celsius, manual set time and alarm with snooze.             SETUP INSTRUCTIONS STEP BY STEP   STEP 1: • Ensure that the transmitter is within 10 feet of the Wireless Thermometer. • Remove battery cover from TX19 transmitter.  • Insert 2 new AAA batteries (not included) into the transmitter. Observe the correct polarity.  STEP 2: • Remove battery cover from the Wireless Thermometer (follow the arrow on the bottom of the battery cover).  • Insert 2 new AAA batteries (not included) into the back of the Wireless Thermometer. Observe the correct polarity (see marking inside the battery compartment).  • Within 3 minutes, the Wireless Thermometer will show readings in the outdoor temperature area on the wireless thermometer.  Note: Allow the Wireless Thermometer and the transmitter to stay within 10 feet of each other for the first 15 minutes of set up.  • Do Not Mix Old and New Batteries • Do Not Mix Alkaline, Standard, Lithium or Rechargeable Batteries                                       TROUBLE SHOOTING  • If the Wireless Thermometer does not display the outdoor temperature after 3 minutes, remove the batteries from both units and repeat the setup process. • From normal display, hold the UP ARROW button for 3 seconds to search for the outdoor temperature transmitter. • For optimal 433MHz signal reception, the outdoor transmitter should be placed within 100 feet (30 meters) from the indoor Wireless Thermometer.    The outdoor temperature reception icon will flash: • During initial setup, for up to three minutes, until it connects with the transmitter. • About every minute afterwards as the wireless thermometer receives an update. • When the UP ARROW button is held for 3 seconds to begin a search for the transmitter.  SET TIME   From Time mode, hold the TIME button for 3 seconds to enter time set mode. • HOUR: The Hour will flash.  Press and release the ARROW buttons to select the correct hour.  Press and release the TIME button once to move to the minutes. • MINUTES: The Minutes will flash.  Press and release the ARROW buttons to select the correct minutes.  Press and release the TIME button once more to exit the program menu.    FAHRENHEIT/CELSIUS  • Default temperature reading is in Celsius.  • From Time mode, press and release the F/°C button to select Fahrenheit temperature readout.  12 HOUR/24 HOUR TIME  • Default time format is 24 hour time format.  • From Time mode, press and release the 12/24h button to select 12 hour time readout.  LOW BATTERY ICON  The low battery icon will show above the outdoor temperature when it is time to change batteries.  MAXIMUM/MINIMUM TEMPERATURE READINGS  VIEW:  Press and release the MIN/MAX button once to show the maximum temperature records. Press and release the MIN/MAX button again to view the minimum temperatures. Press and release the MIN/MAX button a third time to return to current temperature.   RESET:  Hold the MAX/MIN key for 2 seconds to manually clear all the MIN/MAX records.  ALARM SET   From Time mode, press and release the ALARM button to switch to Alarm Mode.  The letters “AL” will appear between the hours and the minutes. In Alarm Mode hold the ALARM button for 3 seconds to enter alarm set mode. • HOUR: The Hour will flash.  Press and release the ARROW buttons to select the correct hour.  Press and release the ALARM button once to move to the minutes. • MINUTES: The Minutes will flash.  Press and release the ARROW buttons to select the correct minutes.  Press and release the ALARM button once more to exit the program menu. Note: When the alarm sounds, it continues for 2 minutes and then shuts off completely.       SNOOZE  • When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button to silence the alarm for 5 minutes.  The alarm icon    will flash. • The snooze function can be repeated. • Press any other button to turn the alarm off for 24 hours.  ACTIVATE/DEACTIVATE ALARM  From Time mode, press and release the ALARM button to switch to Alarm mode.  The letters “AL” will appear between the hours and the minutes.  ACTIVATE: In Alarm mode, press and release the UP ARROW button to activate the alarm. The alarm icon   will appear.  DEACTIVATE: In Alarm mode, with the bell icon visible, press and release the UP ARROW button to deactivate the alarm. The bell icon disappears.  POSITIONING THE TEMPERATURE TRANSMITTER  The remote temperature transmitter should be mounted vertically to avoid damage. Place both units in the desired shaded locations, and wait approximately 1 hour before permanently mounting the
transmitter to ensure that there is proper reception. The outdoor temperature transmitter is water resistant, not waterproof and should not be placed anywhere it will become submerged in water or subject to standing water or snow. • Choose a location for the transmitter that is within range of the Wireless Thermometer and under an overhang for accuracy. • Secure the bracket onto a desired wall using the screws and plastic anchors (not included). • Clip the temperature transmitter onto the bracket. Note: the raised portion of the mounting bracket should fit into the slot on the back of the outdoor transmitter for a secure mount. To achieve a true temperature reading, mount where direct sunlight cannot reach the outdoor  transmitter. Mount the outdoor transmitter on a North-facing wall or in any well-shaded area. Under an eave or deck rail work well. The maximum transmitting range in open air is 100 feet (30 meters). Obstacles such as walls, windows, stucco, concrete, and large metal objects can reduce the range. Place the transmitter at least 6 feet in the air to improve signal transmission. Do not use solvents or scouring agents. • This is not a toy. Keep it out of reach of children. • The Wireless Thermometer: is not to be used for medical purpose or for public information. It is for home use only. • The specifications of this product may change without prior notice. • Improper use or unauthorized opening of housing will void the warranty. • If the unit does not work properly, change the batteries.  WARRANTY INFORMATION  La Crosse Technology, Ltd provides a 1-year limited warranty on this product against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.  This limited warranty begins on the original date of purchase, is valid only on products purchased and used in North America and only to the original purchaser of this product.  To receive warranty service, the purchaser must contact La Crosse Technology, Ltd for problem determination and service procedures.  Warranty service can only be performed by a La Crosse Technology, Ltd authorized service center.  The original dated bill of sale must be presented upon request as proof of purchase to La Crosse Technology, Ltd or La Crosse Technology, Ltd’s authorized service center.  La Crosse Technology, Ltd will repair or replace this product, at our option and at no charge as stipulated herein, with new or reconditioned parts or products if found to be defective during the limited warranty period specified above.  All replaced parts and products become the property of La Crosse Technology, Ltd and must be returned to La Crosse Technology, Ltd.  Replacement parts and products assume the remaining original warranty, or ninety (90) days, whichever is longer.  La Crosse Technology, Ltd will pay all expenses for labor and materials for all repairs covered by this warranty.  If necessary repairs are not covered by this warranty, or if a product is examined which is not in need or repair, you will be charged for the repairs or examination.  The owner must pay any shipping charges incurred in getting the La Crosse Technology, Ltd product to a La Crosse Technology, Ltd authorized service center.  La Crosse Technology, Ltd will pay ground return shipping charges to the owner of the product to a USA address only.
