Operation Instruction for Mazda Wireless Charger PART NAME: Wireless charger PART NUMBER: BCKA V7 440 BDJD V7 440 VEHICLE: MAZDA 3 The wireless charger is intended to charge a Qi compliant cellular phone wirelessly in the vehicle while the vehicle engine is running. Operation Instruction • • • • • • Turn the vehicle to ACC or run, the LED indicator on the charging surface will show solid white color. Make sure there’s no metal objects on the charging surface before placing the phone on wireless charger. While vehicle is on ACC or run, place the Qi wireless charging compatible cellular phone on the charging area to charge the phone wirelessly. The phone should be placed in the middle of the guided area on the charging surface to get the best charging efficiency. While wirelessly charging, the LED indicator will turn green. The LED indicator will change from green to blinking white once the phone is fully charged. Remove the cell phone from the charging surface, the LED indicator will turn to white. Actions with LED Indication Action LED Color Vehicle off Off Turn vehicle on to ACC or run White Put a Qi compatible phone on charging surface Green Wireless charging complete White Slow-Blinking 97101606 Troubleshooting Description Corrective Action Phone is not charging • • LED indicator is showing Orange Check if the vehicle is on ACC or run. Check if all the doors are securely closed. • Check if the phone is Qi wireless charging compatible. • Relocate the phone on the charging surface, place it in the middle of the guided area. • Make sure the current temperature is not excessively hot or cold. Check if there’s any metal object between phone and wireless charger, if so, remove it and re-place the phone on the charging surface in the center. LED indicator is showing Orange Charger is over temperature, remove the phone and let it cool down, then re-place the phone on the charging surface in the center. LED indicator is showing Red Defective wireless charger, contact your local dealer. Cautions • • • • • • • Make sure that all implanted medical devices, e.g., a pacemaker, are kept at a distance of at least 8.7 inches (22 cm) away from the phone charger. Doing so avoids any possibility of interference between the charger and the implanted medical device. DO NOT put the key fob on or near the wireless charger, this will result in the vehicle not detecting the key fob. DO NOT use the wireless charger to charge the cellular phone while the USB cable is powering the cellular phone in the same time, this action may cause certain phones stop all charging activities. The wireless charger only operates with the engine running and when all the doors, including the luggage compartment lid, are securely closed. Only place compatible wireless charging devices onto the charging surface. Placing any other objects on the charging surface may result in vehicle damage. The phone temperature increases during normal charging operation, i.e., feels warm. No maintenance is required.
