If your CD player isn’t operating properly, check the troubleshooting guide below. If you cannot resolve the problem, call Lakeshore’s customer service department at (800) 428-4414. Problem: Possible causes: Player will not operate. •T he power is not on. (The green light will glow when the power is on.) • Plays CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs, and MP3 and WMA CD formats. • The power cord is not plugged in fully. • Automatically sample the first 10 seconds of each track to find the one you want. • The batteries are incorrectly positioned. • Skip to the start of a track, or fast-forward or reverse to any point. •T he batteries are not fresh. (The green light will flash when battery power is low.) • Play tracks in order or at random. CD will not play. • Anti-skip technology reduces sound skipping when player is moved while in use. •T he CD player is paused. (The track will be flashing on the display.) • Auto-off feature—player turns itself off when not in use. • Power indicator—light is green when power is on. • The CD is upside down. • Bluetooth indicator—light is blue when connected. • The cover is not closed. Features and specifications can be found on page 12 of this guide. Before You Begin • The CD is very dirty. CD begins to play, then stops. • The CD is loaded incorrectly. • The CD is very dirty. 1. Read the important care and safety notes on pages 3–5. 2. Review the diagram on page 6 to locate features and controls. •T he power is not on. (The green light will glow when the power is on.) The sound jumps or skips. • The CD is badly scratched or very dirty. •T he CD player is being shaken or vibrated too much. 3. Read the operating instructions beginning on page 7. 4. Troubleshooting tips begin on page 11. CD starts only after a long wait. • Press Stop, then press Play/Pause again. CD spins, but no sound is heard. • The volume is too low. Bluetooth function does not work. •Y our Bluetooth-enabled device is not connected. (The blue light will glow when the device is connected.) Make sure your device is updated to the latest software. • The player is not turned on. •Y our device is paused or otherwise not playing. Follow these guidelines for years of trouble-free operation. Avoid liquids, which can corrode the circuits and cause malfunctions. If water gets spilled on the CD player, wipe it dry immediately. Avoid extreme temperatures, which can damage the batteries and cause cracking or warping of the plastic case and other parts. WARNING To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not use the plug with an extension cord, receptacle, or other outlet unless the blades can be fully inserted to prevent blade exposure. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture. To prevent electrical shock, match wide blade plug to wide slot, fully insert. The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated dangerous voltage within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons. Using Your Headphones • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. • Connect the equipment to an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. You can listen to recordings privately using your own headphones. The eight jacks on the CD player accept 1⁄4" (6.5 mm) stereo plugs, which are found on many headphones and junction boxes. Simply insert the plug into a jack and listen through the headphones. Use with 1⁄ 8" (3.5 mm) mini headphone plugs requires an adaptor. To cancel, press the Program button repeatedly until the display is cleared. •T o fast-forward or backward within the same track, press and hold the corresponding Skip button. Shuffle 10. Discard weak or dead batteries as soon as possible, since they are more likely to leak in the product. Batteries should be replaced (depending on the product) when the display gets dim, the power indicator light flashes, or the sound gets distorted. 11. Do not store this product in high-temperature areas. Batteries that are stored in a freezer or refrigerator for the purpose of extending shelf life should be protected from condensation during storage and defrosting.
