RADIO BASE STATION The Laserforce system relies on radio communication between the battlesuit and the computer. This is achieved through the use of a radio base station which is cabled to the computer and installed by one of our technical personnel upon installation. The radio base station once installed, operates without any interaction with the user. The radio base station in the Gen6 system has a short antenna and operates on a 2.4Ghz frequency, which is the same frequency as wireless networks and some cordless phones. However, the Laserforce system uses complex error checking to filter out any interference with any other equipment. The Laserforce system also does not interfere with other equipment. The radio base station requires a mains power point, but the location of this won’t be finalised until the installation team has inspected the site. The radio base station is installed by one of our trained technical experts and does not come in contact with the user. The radio waves of the radio base station are seriously affected by metal surfaces.
