RF Exposure
Your device contains a transmitter and a receiver. When it is ON, it receives and
transmits RF energy. When you communicate with your device, the system
handling your communication controls the power level at which your device
transmits.
Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)
Your mobile device is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed not to exceed
the limits for exposure to radio waves recommended by international guidelines.
These guidelines were developed by the independent scientific organization
ICNIRP and include safety margins designed to assure the protection of all persons,
regardless of age and health.
The guidelines use a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate,
or SAR. The SAR limit for mobile devices is 2 W/kg. The highest SAR value for this
device when tested was 1.290 W/kg and complied with this limit.
Limiting exposure to radio frequency (RF) fields
For individuals concerned about limiting their exposure to RF fields, the World
Health Organisation (WHO) provides the following advice:
Precautionary measures: Present scientific information does not indicate the need
for any special precautions for the use of mobile devices. If individuals are
concerned, they might choose to limit their own or their children s RF exposure by
limiting the length of calls, or using hands-free devices to keep mobile devices
away from the head and body.
Further information on this subject can be obtained from the WHO home page
http://www.who.int/peh-emf WHO Fact sheet 193: June 2000.

Recycling and environmental information
General recycling statement
Lenovo encourages owners of information technology (IT) equipment to
responsibly recycle their equipment when it is no longer needed. Lenovo offers a
variety of programs and services to assist equipment owners in recycling their IT
products. For information on recycling Lenovo products, go to:
http://www.lenovo.com/recycling
Important WEEE information
Country-specific information is available at
http://www.lenovo.com/recycling.
The WEEE marking on Lenovo products applies to countries with WEEE and
e-waste regulations (for example, European Directive 2002/96/EC, India E-Waste
Management & Handling Rules, 2011) . Appliances are labeled in accordance with
local regulations concerning waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
These regulations determine the framework for the return and recycling of used
appliances as applicable within each geography . This label is applied to various
products to indicate that the product is not to be thrown away, but rather put in
the established collective systems for reclaiming these end of life products.
Users of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) with the WEEE marking must
not dispose of end of life EEE as unsorted municipal waste, but use the collection
framework available to them for the return, recycle, and recovery of WEEE and to
minimize any potential effects of EEE on the environment and human health due
to the presence of hazardous substances. For additional WEEE information go to:
http://www.lenovo.com/recycling

Battery recycling mark
Battery recycling information for the European Union
Batteries or packaging for batteries are labeled in accordance with European
Directive 2006/66/EC concerning batteries and accumulators and waste batteries
and accumulators. The Directive determines the framework for the return and
recycling of used batteries and accumulators as applicable throughout the
European Union. This label is applied to various batteries to indicate that the
battery is not to be thrown away, but rather reclaimed upon end of life per this
Directive.
In accordance with the European Directive 2006/66/EC, batteries and accumulators
are labeled to indicate that they are to be collected separately and recycled at end
of life. The label on the battery may also include a chemical symbol for the metal
concerned in the battery (Pb for lead, Hg for mercury, and Cd for cadmium). Users
of batteries and accumulators must not dispose of batteries and accumulators as
unsorted municipal waste, but use the collection framework available to customers
for the return, recycling, and treatment of batteries and accumulators. Customer
participation is important to minimize any potential effects of batteries and
accumulators on the environment and human health due to the potential presence
of hazardous substances. For proper collection and treatment, go to:

FCC Compliance Statement
FCC Regulations:

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the
following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference,
and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including
interference that may cause undesired operation.

This device has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B
digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed
to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential
installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiated radio frequency
energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may
cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no
guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation If this
equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception,
which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is
encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following
measures:
—
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
—
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
—
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to
which the receiver is connected.
—
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
FCC Caution:
Any Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for
compliance could void the user s authority to operate the equipment.
The antenna(s) used for this transmitter must not be co-located or operating in
conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
Note:

The country code selection is for non-US model only and is not available
to all US model. Per FCC regulation, all WiFi product marketed in US
must fixed to US operation channels only.
RF Exposure Information (SAR)
This device meets the government s requirements for exposure to radio waves.
26
This device is designed and manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for
exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy set by the Federal Communications
Commission of the U.S. Government.
During SAR testing, this device is set to transmit at its highest certified power level
in all tested frequency bands, and placed in positions that simulate RF exposure in
usage near the body with the separation of 0 mm. Although the SAR is determined
at the highest certified power level, the actual SAR level of the while operating can
be well below the maximum value. This is because the device is designed to
operate at multiple power levels so as to use only the power required to reach the
network. In general, the closer you are to a wireless base station antenna, the
lower the power output.
The exposure standard for wireless device employs a unit of measurement known
as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6W/kg.
*Tests for SAR are conducted using standard operating positions accepted by the
FCC with the device transmitting at its highest certified power level in all tested
frequency bands. Although the SAR is determined at the highest certified power
level, the actual SAR level of the device while operating can be well below the
maximum value. This is because the device is designed to operate at multiple
power levels so as to use only the poser required to reach the network. In general,
the closer you are to a wireless base station antenna, the lower the power output.
The highest SAR value for the device as reported to the FCC when operate next to
the body, as described in this user guide, is 1.470 W/kg.
While there may be differences between the SAR levels of various devices and at
various positions, they all meet the government requirement.
The FCC has granted an Equipment Authorization for this model device with all
reported SAR levels evaluated as in compliance with the FCC RF exposure
guidelines. SAR information on this model device is on file with the FCC and can be
found under the Display Grant section of www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid after searching
on FCC ID: O57A3000VDF3G.
Statement
For the device which tests accordance to EN 60950-1:
2006+A11:2009:+A1:2010+A12:2011, it is mandatory to perform audio tests for
EN50332.
This device have been tested to comply with the Sound Pressure Level requirement
laid down in the applicable EN 50332-1and/or EN 50332-2 standards. Permanent
hearing loss may occur if earphones or headphones are used at high volume for
prolonged periods of time.
