Purifi er. Your new True HEPA (High Effi ciency Particulate
Air) Purifi er. Your Air Purifi er has an attractive, sleek,
compact tower design. Its versatility and quiet operation
make this unit perfect for both the home and offi ce. It is
99.97% effective at removing particles such as bacteria,
airborne allergens, cigarette smoke, pollen, dust, mold
spores, and pet hair as small as 0.3 microns from the air
that passes through the fi lter. This product is warranted by RadioShack against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship under
normal use for three (3) years from the date of purchase from RadioShack company-owned stores and authorized

1. Plug into a standard 120V
outlet. See “Important
Safety Instructions.”
2. Press the On/Off
button and make sure it
illuminates. If the Filter
light is green, this means
that the fi lter is in good
working condition.
3. The purifi er automatically
starts at Low speed. You
can change speeds at any
time by pressing Low or
High.
4. Press the On/Off button
to turn the purifi er off.
• For optimum air fi ltration, we recommend that you operate your air purifi er
continuously.
• For quieter operation or use in a bedroom, select Low speed. When high
levels of air pollution are present, select High speed to quickly circulate
and fi lter the room air.

before you begin
Carefully unpack your Air Purifi er. Select a fl at,
level, fi rm place where there are no obstructions to
the air inlet or fi ltered air outlet. A good location in
a room is approximately 1 foot away from the wall,
in a central location of your home.
1. Read all instructions before using appliance!
2. Remove protective plastic bag from the fi lter
cartridge.
3. Install the fi lter as shown in “Replacing your
Filter.”
4. Press RESET with a pointed object.

Why isn’t my air purifi er working?
• Check to make sure unit is properly plugged in.
• Check to make sure the unit is on by pressing
the power button.
• Make sure the plastic has been removed from
the fi lter cartridge.
My air purifi er is on, but not much air is
coming out. What’s going on?
• Check the fi lters to see if they are in good
condition or if they need to be changed.
• Check to ensure nothing is blocking air inlet or
fi ltered air outlet.
• Make sure the plastic has been removed from
the fi lter cartridge.

PLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS!
1. Remove the air inlet grill and prefi lter. If the HEPA fi lter is dirty, remove and properly dispose
of it. DO NOT try to wash and re-use the HEPA fi lter.
2. Remove the protective polybag from your new fi lter. Position the fi lter so that the side with the
soft gasket is facing inward. Insert the new fi lter.
3. Replace the prefi lter and air inlet grill.
• Under normal conditions of continuous use, the HEPA fi lter will operate effi ciently
for 8 months.
• When you replace the fi lter, write the date on the sticker and attach the sticker
to a visible location on the unit. In order to guarantee True HEPA effi ciency, we
strongly recommend that you replace the fi lter when the FILTER indicator turns red
or the fi lter has been used for 8 months. Replacements (63-1550) are available at
RadioShack or online at radioshack.com.
• Catalog number for replacement fi lter is 63-1550.
• Check the condition of the fi lter every few weeks.
• Reset the unit every time you replace the HEPA fi lter.
NOTES
• Keep the main housing of your air purifi er
dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately.
• Use and store the air purifi er only in room
temperature environments.
• Handle the air purifi er carefully. Do not drop
it.
• Turn off and unplug the unit before
cleaning.
• Clean the outside of the air purifi er with a
soft, damp cloth.
• Dust off the top air outlet grill with a small,
soft brush.
• To clean the air inlet grill, remove it
and wash it in warm soapy water (not
dishwasher safe). Dry before replacing in
the unit.
• Periodically remove the air inlet grill.
Remove and examine the foam pre-fi lter. If
it has collected a noticeable amount of dust
or lint, remove it from the inlet of the grill
and wash it in warm soapy water. Rinse
and drip-dry the pre-fi lter thoroughly before
replacing it into the inlet of the grill.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of fi re, electric shock, and injury to

appliance directly into a 120V AC electrical
outlet.
3. If the fi lter is covered by a bag when shipped,
remove plastic bag before use.
4. Keep the cord out of heavy traffi c areas. To
avoid fi re hazard, never put the cord near heat
registers, stoves, heaters, or under rugs.
5. To protect against electrical hazards, do not
immerse in water or other liquids. Do not use
near water.
6. Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children or
disabled persons.
7. Always unplug the air purifi er before moving
it, opening the grill, changing the fi lters, and
whenever the air purifi er is not in use. Unplug
by pulling on the plug and not the cord.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any
openings.
9. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged
cord or plug, if the motor fan fails to rotate,
after the appliance malfunctions, or if it has
been dropped or damaged in any manner.
Return the appliance to the manufacturer
for examination, electrical or mechanical
adjustment, or repair.
10. Use appliance only for the intended
household use as described in this manual.
Any other use not recommended by the
manufacturer may cause fi re, electric
shock, or injury. The use of attachments not
recommended or sold by RadioShack may be
hazardous.
11. Do not use outdoors.
12. Never block the air openings or place on soft
surfaces, such as a bed or sofa, as this could
cause the unit to tip over, thus blocking the air
intake opening.
13. Keep the unit away from heated surfaces and
open fl ames.
14. Do not attempt to repair or adjust any
electrical or mechanical functions on this
unit. Doing so will void the warranty. The
inside of the unit contains no user serviceable
parts. All servicing should be performed by
qualifi ed personnel only.
15. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fi re or
electrical shock, do not use this air purifi er
with any solid-state control device.
16. Do not place anything on top of the unit.
17. This product is equipped with a polarized
plug (a plug having one blade wider than the
other). This plug will fi t into the power outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fi t fully
into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does
not fi t, contact qualifi ed personnel to install
the proper outlet. Do not defeat the safety
purpose of this polarized plug in any way!
Cord and Plug Installation Safety Instructions
We selected this length of cord for this appliance
to reduce tangle and trip hazards. If you need to
use a longer cord, use an approved extension
cord. Make sure that the electrical rating of the
extension cord is equal to or greater than the
rating of the air purifi er. Take care to arrange the
extension cord so that it will not drape over a
countertop or tabletop, or any place where it can
be pulled on by children or accidentally tripped
over.
