Connecting Your Phone
This section is a reference guide to the basic functlons and operations ol your cordless
telephone For more detailed descriptions Mme operations and features Mlhis telephone,
refer to the Contents on page 1.
1. Carelully remove your cordless telephone lrom its shipping carton. II more Is any

You should have a HANDSET, BASE UNIT, AC ADAPTOR, MOUNTING BRACKET,

Desk Mounting
Desk Mounting
One ol the special features of your equipment is the unlque design of the MOUNTING
BRACKET which can hold your phone at an angle of 30° when desk mounting.
There are twoposilions to choose lrorn:
1. NORMAL POSITION (MOUNTING BRACKET not required):
For normal position, as shown in Figure 1, place the BASE UNIT on any desired
hul suimble location.

2. 30° POSITION (See Figure 2):
With the back of Ills BASE UNIT lacing up. insert the hooks of the MOUNTING
BRACKET (following the arrow direction lot the DESK MOUNT) into the matching
slots of the BASE UNIT (as shown in Figure 3). Then slide the
MOUNTING BRACKET into place as indicated by the arrow,

You may choose to put the BASE UNIT of your cordless lelephoneon a wall.
1. vwm the back of me BASE UNIT facing up, connect the SHORT TELEPHONE LINE
CORD (0 the TELEPHONE LINE CONNECTION JACK.
2. Feed the SHORT TELEPHONE LINE CORD into me groove on the bed< arms BASE
UNIT (hen lnsen the free end olthe SHORT TELEPHONE LINE CORD through the
hole of the MOUNTING BRACKET.
3. Insert the hooks of the MOUNTING BRACKET into the matching slots on the back
OI the BASE UNIT (as shown below), Then slide the MOUNTING BRACKET until it
lacks into place Plug the lree end ofme SHORTTELEPHONE LINE CORD into the
MODULAR WALL JACK.
l. Align the upper keyhole olthe MOUNTING BRACKET with Ifls upper stud of the wall
plate, so Ina! the openmg end of the MOUNTING BRACKET matches the lower stud,
then pull Ihe BASE UNIT down until it is securely sealed.

Basic Operation
Preparing for Use
Before you can use your cordless (elephone, you must charge me HANDsEl’for 12 hours.
Failure to do so will require recharging OHhe BATTERY PACK more oflen,
1. Place the HANDSET on (he EASE UNI’T for 12 houlS.
2. After 12 hours. remove the HANDSET from [he BASE UNIT.
3. Ralse or reposition the BASE UNIT ANTENNA forth. bis! rmptllm.
Before you can use your cordless telephone, you must charge lire HANDSET
for 12 hours, Failure to do so will require more frequent charging of (In
BATTERYFACK. See page 18 for more information on (he BATTERYPACK
NOTE:
Depending on the frequency of use‘ once the HANDSET Is fully charged, it remains
iunclronal for approximately 4 hours of ocnunuous use and approximately 5 days when the
HANDSET is olfrhe BASE UNIT in STANDBY mode.
