Before using your Logitech Wheel Mouse, please read the Comfort Guidelines that comes with your product. Connecting the Mouse to a PC 1. For a PS/2 mouse port installation, please DO turn off the computer. 2. Connect the mouse cable to the USB port. After connecting the mouse to the USB port, the computer may prompt you to insert the Windows CD. Insert the CD then follow the cn-screen instructions. PS/2 mouse port USB port Using the Mouse To use the wheel like a standard mouse button, just click (press down) the wheel. To scroll up, move the wheel forward; To scroll down, move the wheel back. Horizontal Scroll: When both vertical and horizontally scroll bars are present in a window, press the Ctrl and Shift keys on the keyboard. then move the wheel forward to scroll left; move the wheel backward to scroll right. If no vertical scroll bars are present, simply move the wheel to scroll horizontally. Maintaining the Mouse If the cursor skips or moves abnormally, clean the ball of your mouse. 1. 4. Wipe the ball with a clean, lint-free cloth, then blow carefully into the ball-cage to dislodge dust and lint. Alter cleaning, make sure the roller(s) are still centered in their channels. Make sure that fluff from the swab is not left on the roller(s). Replace the ball and retainer ring. Troubleshooting for a PC Connection If the mouse is not detected by the computer, try the following: Make sure the mouse cable is plugged into the right port ?USB or PS/2. When installing the mouse on a PC, install the MouseWare ?software before connecting the mouse cable. Reboot the system. Make sure your USB or PS/2 port has the proper configuration. Refer to your computer documentation for the correct port configuration. You may have other system devices (e.g., a modem card) that conflict with the mouse. Check the IRQ/address settings of these devices for conflicts, and change the settings as required. it the problem persists, please contact technical support. Troubleshooting ‘ If the cursor does not move smoothly, clean the mouse ball and ball cage. If the mouse is not detected by your system, be sure to install the mouse software first.
