Soltware License Agreement. LOGlTECN is WILUNCi TO UCENSE THE ENCLOSED SOFTWARE To you ONLY on THE CONDITION
THAT you ACCEPT mot THE TERMS CONTNNED IN THIS LlCENSE AGREEMENT. This is a legal agreement between you either
an individual end-user or an entity) and togitech. By opening the soltware package, you are agreeing to be otind
by the terms and condltlons oi the Agreement. if you do not agree to the terms or this Agreement, promptly return
the soltware package and other items that are part of this product in their original package with your payment
receipt to your point of purchase ior a lull relund. Grant of License. togitech and its suppliers grant you a nonexcluswe
license to use one copy oi the enclosed soitware program (“Soltware”) on one computer only with the togitech product you haiie
purchased. No other rights are granted. The Soitware is in use ii it is loaded on the computer‘s permanent or temporary memory,
For oackup purposes only. you may make one copy or the Soitware. you must include on the backup copy all copyright and other
notices included on the Soitware as supplied oy togitech. installation on a network server ior the sole purpose oi your internal
distribution of the software is permitted only ii you have purchased an ind'widual Soitware package ior each networked computer
to which the Soitware is distriouted. Restrictions. Logitech and its suppliers retain ownership oi the Soitware, you shall not
decomprle. ssemoie. reverse-engineer, or modiiy the Soitware in any way. you may not transmit the Soitware over a network
(except as pressiy permitted aooiiel, by telephone. or electronicalN using any means. you may not trarisier the Soitware except
upon a permanent transfer of the enclosed iogitech product provided that all Soitware updates are included in the transier, you do
not retain a copy or the Soitware, and the transieree agrees to he hound lay the terms and conditions in this license, Upon any
violation oi any of the provisions oi this Agreement. rights to use the Soitware shall automatically terminate and the Soliware must
be returned to togitech or all copi oi the Soitware destroyed. Limited product Warranty. togitech warrants that any
hardware products accompanying this documentation shall he iree irom signilicant deiects in material and workmanship iora period
oi one year irom the date of purchase, Logitech also warrants that the soitware accompanying this documentation will periorm
substantially in accordance with the documentation ior a period oi 90 days irom the date oi purchase. Logitech's hardware and
soitware warranty is nontransieraoie and is limited to the original purchaser. Product Remedies. Logitecn's entire liability and
the licensee’s exdusrie remedy ior any oreach oi warranty, shall oe. at Logltech's option, either (a) return oi the price paid or to)

Connecting the Mouse
I. Turn 0" the computer,
2. Vour mouse comes in one 01 two versions: serlal or PSIZ. Check the box @
to see which mouse you have purchased. The serial mouse only connects
to the serlal port and the PS/2 mouse connects only to the PS/Z port.
3. Connect the serial mouse to the computer's serial port. Connect the P512 mouse to the Pslz port.

Using the Mouse in Windows° 95/Windows NT"
By delault, mm the lelt and the right mouse buttons are asslgned specific lunctrons automatically. The lett outton rs assngned to Normal
select and Normal Drag; the nght outton rs asslgned Context Menu and snecral Drag. Using the Buttons tau. you can swap these
assrgnments. malong rt possible to use the mouse in your left hand. Note that the Contexl menu provrdes easy~tc-use shortcuts to speed
up common tasks. such as cut and paste. The Buttons lab also allows you to change the speed at whlch a double-cllck occurs. Wltn the

Using the Mouse in Windows 3.1

Mouse Maintenance

1. Remove the retainer ring to remove the hall. On the bottom ol the mouse, press in the directlon ol the Open arrow rmprrnted
on the retainer-mtg cover.
2. wipe the hall with a clean. llnt-free cloth, then blow carelully into the hall-cage to dislodge dust and lint took lor
a ourld-uo ol dtrt on the rubber rollerlsl inside the hallcage.

Troubleshooting: Mouse Not Detected
- Make sure the mouse cable is plugged rnto the right port—serial or PS/2 mouse port. A PS/2 mouse only connects to 3 P512 port and
a serial mouse connects only to a serial port.
- Make sure your serial (or PS/Z] port has the proper conllguratton. Refer to your computer dommenlzllon lor the correct port
conltguranon.
- You may have other system devrces (9.9, a modern card) that conllrct With the mouse. Check the lite/address settings of these devlces
lor conllrcts. and change the settings as required. keler to your computer documentation to make these changes.
. To determlne whether the problem is mouse or system related, try the mouse on a second system ora drllercnt mouse on your current
system.
