Positioning and Installing the BoosterNote: The best place to mount your Booster is on a ceiling or wall that is very high. Theidea is to get the signal as high as possible so it “umbrellas” the guest and thus allpagers can receive it.The booster operates at its best when installed at the “fringe” of your area. This means youshould get it as far from the transmitter as possible but still be able to receive the transmitter’ssignal.1. Locate a 110V outlet near the selected installation location.2. Plug the power adapter into the outlet and into the power connector hole on theside of the unit.3. Ensure that when power is plugged in, the Red RECEIVE light will blink continu-ously to indicate power is on and the unit is operating.4. Place the paging transmitter in “Range Test Mode” (see transmitter’s operating in-structions).5. Ensure the Red TRANSMIT light periodically alternate flashes on about every 5seconds.• If the periodic TRANSMIT flash does not occur, move the booster unit closer tothe transmitter and try again.• Keep moving the booster toward the transmitter until the TRANSMIT flash oc-curs.• After establishing the correct distance, mount the booster as high as possibleNormal RangeTransmitterTR-7400Extended RangeSETUPMGR1MGR2STAFFCLEARENTER1234567890ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ[T7400ALong Range Systems800.437.4996F1F2F3F4TransmitPower9VAC800.437.4996www.pager.net : : Long Range Systems 2TR-7400 Quick Guide
