Carioke™ Operating Instructions:
1) Attach the Carioke headset cable to the top of your Carioke player and place the
headset snugly above the ears. The “wrap-around” headset is designed to be safe,
tangle free, and legal to wear while driving in all states and countries.
2) Insert one end of the (included) Carioke cable into the “Music-In” Jack on the
bottom of your Carioke player.
3) Insert the other end of the (included) Carioke cable into the headphone jack of
your iPod, MP3 Player, Cell Phone or other music device that contains your
favorite Karaoke music. Then pick a song and press PLAY.
4) Next, choose if you want to connect to your car’s stereo wirelessly or with a direct
cable.
5) To connect wirelessly, simply tune your radio to one of the 4 following FM
stations: 107.1, 107.3, 107.5, or 107.7 FM. Then, move the switch on the
bottom of your Carioke player to the corresponding FM frequency with the best
reception in you area.
Note: In different areas of the city and country, different FM stations will have
better reception than others. Try all four (4) of the frequencies to discover which
station has the best reception in your area.
6) To connect with a direct cable, we have included a tape adapter that plugs into the
“Music-Out” jack on the bottom of each Carioke player. This jack can also be
used with the (included) Carioke cable to plug directly into any satellite radio or
AUX “line-in” jack on any stereo. For even higher quality sound, or for vehicles
with low FM reception we recommend a direct connection.
Volume Balancing:
There are essentially 4 volume controls:
1) Your Car’s Stereo
2) Carioke’s Microphone Volume (top)
3) Carioke’s Music Volume (top)
4) Your External Music device’s Volume, such as an iPod, MP3, CD or Tape Player.
Adjust all 4 volume levels to find each vehicle’s optimal balance.
Static or background noise can be resolved by balancing the 4 levels differently.
Tip: Slightly fade your car’s speakers to the rear and slightly lower the treble.
