REQUIREMENTS
WiFi

iOS 8.x or Android 4.3 (or later)
Account Login
To connect Lono to your WiFi network,
you’ll require a free Lono account which
can be created after you install the Lono
mobile application.
Irrigation System
Lono works with most 24V irrigation
systems and can accept up to 20 zone
wires, a common wire, third party
sensors and a master valve or
pump relay.
Installation location
The Lono controller is designed to
be installed indoors. If you need to
install outdoors, ensure Lono is
encased in an appropriately sized,
weatherproof enclosure.
Tools Needed
Installing Lono requires a Phillips
head screwdriver.
Check WiFi signal strength
With your iPhone or Android device,
walk to the location of your current
sprinkler controller, and make sure you
have a good connection to your network.
If your WiFi signal strength is weak, you
may need to move your wireless router or
install a WiFi range extender.
Run your existing controller
Cycle through all of your zones and make
sure everything is working properly.
Unplug old controller
Unplug your existing controller’s
power source.
Reference photo
Use your mobile phone to take a photo
of your existing controller’s wire colors,
circuit numbers and placements.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Use the wire stickers that came with
your Lono to label important wires
including the common wire,
master valve/pump relay, 3rd party
sensors, etc.

Remove old controller
Disconnect wiring, and then remove
your old controller from the wall.
You may need wire strippers
to expose sprinkler wire from
outer sheath.

Mount back panel
Take Lono’s back panel and mount it
to wall using the two mounting screws
included in the packaging.

Power device
Plug 120V power supply into nearby
outlet, and connect it to Lono.
Connect wiring
Connect each valve wire into a zone wire
connector on the device, numbered 1-20.
The “C” wire connectors at the top are
for common wires.

Attach front panel
Attach the front panel to the back panel
mounted on the wall simply by pushing
it into place.

Limited Warranty
Important information about your rights
and obligations, as well as limitations and
exclusions that may apply to you.
At Lono, LLC (“Lono”), we believe that
when you (also referred to herein as
“Customer”) purchase our Sprinkler
Controller (“Product”), you are also
purchasing the support you need to
ensure that it performs as designed. Like
our Products, Lono’s customer experi-
ence is designed to exceed
expectations.
Total Satisfaction Return Policy
If you are not satisfied with the Product for any
reason, you may return the Product to Lono in
its original condition and packaging on or within
thirty (30) days of the original date of the purchase
from Lono or an authorized dealer and receive a
full refund, subject to the limitations below, Lono,
in its sole discretion, will determine if the Product
is in its original condition when returned.
Limited Warranty
This Limited Warranty gives you specific
legal rights. You may also have other legal rights
that vary by state, province or jurisdiction.
The disclaimers, exclusions and limitations of
liability under this Limited Warranty will not
apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law.
For a full description of your legal rights you
should refer to the laws applicable in your
jurisdiction and you may wish to contact a
relevant consumer advisory service.
Subject to the terms and conditions set forth
herein, Lono warrants that the Product will be
free from material defect in materials and work-
manship for a period of one (1) year (or two (2)
years if the product was a Pre-Order (as defined
in the General Terms and Conditions of Sale) or
Customer contributed to the Kickstarter program)
from the date of delivery following the original
retail purchase (the “Limited Warranty Period”).
A Product that is not free from defects in mate-
rials and/or workmanship is hereinafter referred
to as a “Defective Product.” Subject to the terms
set forth herein, Lono will, at its sole and absolute
discretion, either (i) repair or replace the Defective
Product; or (ii) refund the money actually paid by
the original purchaser less a twenty (20) percent
reduction for restocking of the Defective Product.
The Limited Warranty is subject to the following
conditions:
1. You must either (i) return the Defective
Product to Lono within the Limited
Warranty Period in compliance with the
following conditions, or (ii) notify Lono in
writing of the Defective Product during the
Limited Warranty Period by visiting
https://lono.io/contact and return the
Defective Product to Lono in compliance
with the following conditions within thirty
(30) days following the date you notified Lono
in writing of the Defective Product;
2. You must comply with Lono’s return shipping
instructions;
3. You must provide Lono with proof of original
purchase of the Defective Product from Lono
or an authorized dealer;
4. You must obtain a return materials
authorization (“RMA”) number from Lono;
5. You shall pay any shipping charges for
Products returned by you to Lono, and Lono
will not accept collect shipments from you.
PRODUCT REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR
Your sole and exclusive remedy for any breach by
Lono of this Limited Warranty, and Lono’s sole and
entire liability for such breach, is, at Lono’s option,
to repair or replace the Defective Product or, if the
warranty claim is submitted during the first thirty
(30) calendar days of the Warranty Period, refund
the purchase price of the Defective Product. Repair
or replacement of the applicable Defective Product
(including parts and labor as well as re-shipping
costs) shall be made at Lono’s expense. Lono
reserves the right to send you a replacement
Product that is the same or of a similar style to
the Product you returned under the Limited
Warranty or a substitute equivalent to your
original Product that may not be of like kind (de-
pending on availability). Replacement
Products will be furnished only on an exchange
basis. Replacement or repaired Products are
warranted as above only for the remainder of the
original applicable Warranty Period.
If you wish to make a claim under this Limited
Warranty with respect to a Product, you must first
contact Lono at 801.802.6464. If Lono determines
that a repair or replacement is required, you will
be prompted for your name, address, phone
number, e-mail address and product serial
number and then issued a Return Order Number
to use when returning products to Lono. Product
you return to Lono must be properly packaged in
its original packaging (or packaging providing the
product with protection equivalent to the
original packaging) and shipped, with the
shipping charges prepaid via a shipping method
that provides for tracking of your package, to the
address provided when you received your Return
Order Number.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
Except as expressly set forth in this limited
warranty, and to the maximum extent
permitted by applicable law, lono disclaims all
express, implied and statutory warranties and
conditions with respect to the product, including
the implied warranties of merchantability, and
fitness for a particular purpose, or non-
infringement on the rights of third parties.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable
law, lono also limits the duration of any implied
warranties or conditions to the duration of this
limited warranty. The limited warranty does not
apply if, as determined by lono in its sole and
absolute discretion, the product failure was due
in anyway to damage from shipping, handling, or
improper storage; accident, abuse, misuse, or
failure to adequately maintain the product;
exposure to electrolysis, erosion or abrasion;
contact with destructive gases or chemicals;
improper voltage, or electrical phase lose or
reversal; exposure to incoming power supply
lacking circuit breakers or fused protection;
lightning, flood (either naturally occurring or due
to customer negligence in operation of
irrigation systems), or other natural disasters or
“acts of god”, or if the product has been modified
in any way, or has had any identifying
information (including serial number or product
number) removed or altered in any way including
alteration to open source software; repair of the
product by anyone other than lono or an approved
agent shall void the limited warranty. The limited
warranty applies only to the original purchase of
the product, purchased from lono or an
authorized dealer, and proof of original purchase
price and date is required prior to receiving any
limited warranty benefits provided hereunder.
Limitation on damages
Notwithstanding anything in this limited
warranty to the contrary, in no event will lono be
liable for any consequential, incidental,
exemplary, or special damages including any
damages for lost data or lost profits arising from
or relating to this limited warranty or the product
even if lono knew or should have known of such
losses prior to providing this product, and lono’s
total cumulative liability arising from or related
to this limited warranty or the product will not
exceed the amount actually paid for the product by
the original purchaser.
Limitation of liability
The lono mobile services and smart app
(“services”) provide you information (“product
information”) regarding the product, natural
weather conditions, and/or other peripherals
or operating systems connected to or related to
the product (“product peripherals”). The type of
product peripherals that may be connected to the
product may change from time to time without
limiting the general list of the disclaimers above,
all product information is provided for your
convenience, “as is”, and “as available”. Lono does
not represent, warrant, or guarantee that product
information will be available, accurate, or reliable
or that product will effect your utility use or lawn
health. You use all product information, the
services, and the product at your own
discretion and risk. You will be solely responsible
for (and lono disclaims) any and all loss, liability,
or damages, including to your water lines,
sprinkler system, product, product peripherals,
or mobile device resulting from your use of the
product information, services, or product.
DISPUTES RESOLUTION
Any claim or dispute in connection with this
Limited Warranty shall be resolved in accordance
with the Dispute Resolution Clause of the General
Terms and Conditions of Sale.
ASSIGNMENT
This Limited Warranty does not extend beyond
the original purchase of the Product and may not
be transferred, assigned or passed by the original
purchaser. Lono, its subsidiaries, and affiliates are
intended beneficiaries of this Limited Warranty.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This Agreement contains the entire understanding
of the parties with respect to the matters
contained herein and supersedes and replaces in
its entirety any and all prior communications and
contemporaneous agreements and
understandings, whether oral, written, electronic
or implied, if any, between the parties with respect
to the subject matter hereof. Any other or
additional terms and conditions, including
exceptions to Lono’s terms of conditions, are
deemed to be material alterations of Lono’s offer
and are rejected by Lono unless expressly agreed
to in writing by Lono’s authorized representative.
TERMS OF USE
Please read these terms of use (“agreement”)
carefully before using the services oered by lono, llc.
(“Company”). By visiting the website or using the
services in any manner, you agree that you have read
and agree to be bound by and a party to the terms and
conditions of this agreement to the exclusion of all
other terms. If the terms of this agreement are
considered an oer, acceptance is expressly limited to
such terms. If you do not unconditionally agree to all
the terms and conditions of this agreement, you have
no right to use the website or services. Use of the
company’s service is expressly condition upon your
assent to all the terms and conditions of this
agreement, to the exclusion of all other terms.
ACCESS TO SERVICES
The www.lono.io website and domain name and
any other linked pages, features, content or
application services (including without limitation
any mobile application services) offered from time
to time by the Company in connection
therewith (collectively, the “Website”) are owned
and operated by the Company. Subject to the terms
and conditions of this Agreement, Company may
offer to provide certain services, as described
more fully on the Website, and that have been
selected by you (together with the Website, the
“Services”), solely for your own use, and not for
the use or benefit of any third party. The term
“Services” includes, without limitation, use of the
Website, any service Company performs for you
and the Content (as defined below) offered by the
Company on the Website. Company may change,
suspend or discontinue the Services at any time,
including the availability of any feature, database
or Content. Company may also impose limits
on certain features and services or restrict your
access to parts or all of the Services without notice
or liability. You may choose to use the Services in
connection with the Lono device (the “Product”).
You may use the Services in connection with the
Product only after you have purchased the Product
and read and accepted the Lono General Terms and
Conditions of Sale (“Product Terms of Sale”) before
using the Product or accessing the Services in
connection with your use of the Product. Company
reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify
this Agreement at any time by posting a notice on
the Website, or by sending you notice via email .
You shall be responsible for reviewing and
becoming familiar with any such modifications.
Your use of the Services following such
notification constitutes your acceptance of the
terms and conditions of this Agreement as
modified. Company does not knowingly collect or
solicit personal information from anyone under
the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to
register for the Services. If you are under 13, please
do not attempt to register for the Services or send
any information about yourself to us, including
your name, address, telephone number, or email
address. No one under age 13 may provide any
personal information to Company or on the
Services. In the event that we learn that we have
collected personal information from a child under
age 13 without verification or parental consent, we
will delete that information as quickly as possible.
If you believe that we might have any information
from or about a child under 13, please contact us
at team@lono.io. You represent and warrant to
Company that: (i) you are an individual (i.e. not
a corporation) and you are of legal age to form a
binding contract or have your parental consent to
do so, and you are at least 13 years of age or older;
(ii) all registration information you submit is
accurate and truthful; and (iii) you will maintain
the accuracy of such information. You also certify
that you are legally permitted to use and access
the Services and take full responsibility for the
selection and use of and access to the Services.
This Agreement is void where prohibited by law,
and the right to access the Services is revoked in
such jurisdictions.
WEBSITE AND SERVICES CONTENT
The Website, the Services, and their contents
are intended solely for the personal, non-
commercial use of Services users and may only be
used in accordance with the terms of this
Agreement. All materials displayed or performed
on the Services (including, but not limited to
text, graphics, articles, photographs, images,
illustrations (also known as “Content,” and which
includes User Submissions (as defined below)))
are protected by copyright. You shall abide by all
copyright notices, trademark rules, information,
and restrictions contained in any Content accessed
through the Services, and you shall not use, copy,
reproduce, modify, translate, publish, broadcast,
transmit, distribute, perform, upload, display,
license, sell or otherwise exploit for any purposes
whatsoever any Content or third party
submissions or other proprietary rights not owned
by you: (i) without the express written consent
of the respective owners, and (ii) in any way

discretion. Company reserves the right to require

however, Company will only share your personally
identifiable information in accordance with

shall grant each user of the Services a non-
exclusive license to access your User

Company retains the right to reformat, modify,

Under no circumstances will Company be liable in

including without limitation any employee or
representative of the Company; (vi) contains a
virus, Trojan horse, worm, time bomb, or
other harmful computer code, file or program; (vii)
disrupts, interferes or harms our Website, servers
or network; or (viii) imposes an unreasonably or
disproportionally large load on our infrastructure.
Further, you may not (i) circumvent, disable, or
otherwise interfere with security-related features
of the Services or the Website or features that
prevent or restrict use of copying of any content
available on the site; (ii) use any robot, spider, site
search or retrieval application, or any other
manual or automatic device or process to retrieve,
index, data-mine or in any way reproduce or
circumvent the navigational structure or
