English FrançaisEspañol Português1Important NotesCodes: Install in accordance with all local and nation-al electrical codes.Power: The Hybrid Repeater can be powered fromEITHER of two sources:1. Adapter power. Use only the adapter pro-vided with the Hybrid Repeater (Lutronmodel # T120-9DC-3-WH).Caution - Using an adapter not rated at thefollowing specifications could damage therepeater and possibly overheat the adapter.• Input: 120 V 60 Hz• Output: 9 V 300 mA NEC Class 2; IEC PELV2. Link power. Use only power supplied via aHomeWorks Processor Hybrid RepeaterLink or a HomeWorks auxiliary power sup-ply. (See section about the HWI-PS in theHomeWorks Technical Reference Guide orApplication Note HW-104.) Each hybridrepeater counts as 30 LEDs. Note: An RF Processor does not supplypower on the Hybrid Repeater Link.Environment: Ambient operating temperature: 32-104°F (0-40°C), 0-90% humidity, non-condensing.Indoor use only. Please Read Before InstallingInstallation InstructionsOverviewHomeWorks Hybrid Repeaters add RF capability toHomeWorks processors configured with a HybridRepeater Link and provide an additional coveragearea for radio frequency (RF) signals sent betweenHomeWorks RF Dimmers/Switches, RF Keypads, andRF Processors. Each repeater covers a sphere ofapproximately 2500 square feet (232m2) of livingspace. Up to five (5) repeating devices may be placedin a HomeWorks RF system (a HomeWorks RFProcessor counts as one of the repeating devices).Hybrid RepeaterHR-REP-120120 V 60 Hz (9 V 300 mA adapter)HR-REP-120Hybrid Repeater Wiring: Hybrid Repeater wiringmust be in a daisy chain configuration. The totallength of wire on the Hybrid Repeater Link may be upto 1000 feet (305 m), and may contain up to five (5)Hybrid Repeaters.Cleaning: To clean, wipe with a clean damp cloth. DONOT use any chemical cleaning solutions.Device Placement: HomeWorks Hybrid Repeatersmust be located within 30 feet (9 m) of the RFDimmers, Switches, and Keypads they are covering.Hybrid Repeaters must also be within 60 feet (18 m)of an RF Processor or another repeater when usingthe RF Link for repeater-to-repeater or repeater-to-processor communication. When using the Wired Linkfor repeater-to-repeater or repeater-to-processor com-munication, a total wire length of 1000 feet (305 m)may be used.FCC InformationNOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, persuant to part 15 of the FCC rules.Operation is subject to the following:(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and(2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Note: Hybrid Repeaters must be within 60feet (18 m) of an RF Processor or another repeaterwhen using the RF Link for repeater-to-repeater orrepeater-to-processor communication.2. Connect Hybrid Repeater Link (if applicable).Connect the Hybrid Repeater Link communicationwires from the HomeWorks®Processor (or previousHybrid Repeater in the daisy chain) to the terminalblock on the Hybrid Repeater (see WiringDiagram). Each terminal will accept up to three 22-18 AWG (0.5-1.0 mm2) wires. Note: If using the plug-in adapter to power therepeater, DO NOT connect the +15 V terminal (terminal 2).3. Apply power to the Hybrid Repeater. If theHybrid Repeater is to be powered by the HybridRepeater Link, apply power by turning on theHomeWorks Processor. If the Hybrid Repeater is tobe powered by the plug-in adapter, insert theadapter cord plug into the jack on the HybridRepeater, then plug the adpater into a standardwall receptacle.2EnglishFrançais EspañolPortuguêsInstallation Wall MountingHybrid Repeaters may be wall mounted using the supplied wall bracket.STATUS andTEST LEDs willbe dimly lit whenfirst poweredPlug inpower cordand adapterPlug inadapter jack1.
