Users Manual
The BMW System of Localization, installed in your vehicle, has been
designed and made especially for your BMW vehicle following the strictest
norms of quality and fulfilling the European Norms for security systems.
A Security Control Centre (SOC), accredited by the Homeland
Department, works 24 hours every day to guarantee your security and of
your vehicle.
During the activation of the System, you will received an SMS of welcome
at the number of mobile phone you have indicated in the contract. If no
messages has been received, please contact your BMW Dealer to verify if
all data of the contract are correct.
When the vehicle will be delivery to you, you must receive additionally at
this manual:
-2 identification cards
-2 ID TAG devices
- Copy of the contract
The Identification cards can be used to have always at disposal the phone
number of the SOC, the data of your vehicle or the password.
Password
Initially your password will be the CIF or DNI (written in the contract), to
be used when the SOC call you and ask your identification references.
If you would like to change the password please call the SOC (900-
450045)
You can ask to your BMW Dealer additional ID-Tag (until a maximum of
8) as well as Identification Cards.
Functioning of the BMW Localization system:
The System is always active, but only when the following situations will
occurred it will react and communicating with you to verify your security
and your vehicle:
Nonauthorized starting: ÆYour BMW has been taken without
presence of one ID TAG.
Important warning: The absence or failure of ID TAG does not
prevent the starting of your BMW.
Tow of the vehicle :Æ If the vehicle is tilted during a certain time
or moved from its parking place without ignition key.
Alarm: Æ if the Original Alarm of your BMW is triggered
Power supply cut: Æ the cables of the battery of your BMW or the
connector of the System have been disconnected/cut. In case
anyone of the previous situations occur, you will receive a SMS
indicating the situation and the position of the vehicle. After one
minute, you will receive a call from the SOC which will ask the
authentication code (DNI or CIF or the code you have indicated
after ) and will verify with you the state of your BMW.
Battery Discharged: Æ the state of charging of the battery of
your BMW does not allow the starting of the engine. You will receive
an SMS indicating this condition.
In case of possible accident, if your vehicle detect, with the
ignition key ON, an impact over 4g, the SOC will receive a call of
crash and verify if the Medical or Mechanical aid will be necessary.
False alarms
In order to avoid false alarms which should noise you, it is
necessary you contact the SOC to inform them regarding the
following situations:
Transport:
If your BMW is going to be transported in train, crane, boat…
indicates to the SOC that you would like to put the system in
“Transport Mode”. This status will avoid false alarms due to the
inclination sensor and displacement. You don’t forget to call again
the SOC to restore the service once the transport has been
finalized.
Maintenance:
If your BMW is going to get maintenance, indicates to the SOC that
you would like to put the system in “Maintenance Mode”, this will
avoid false alarms of the system if the power supply is
disconnected. You don’t forget to call again the SOC to restore the
service once the maintenance has been finalized.
Limitations of the System
The Original BMW Localization System uses a GSM communications
network and a GPS positioning system. The localization or
immobilization can not work correctly if at least one of the two
networks doesn’t work correctly. Also it is possible that your vehicle
can get a no cover GSM or GPS area in case of being in tunnels or
garages.
Responsibilities of the User
- You are responsible for the properly use of the ID TAG devices,
reply at the calls from the SOC and identify yourself correctly.
- You are also responsible to take under control the Original BMW
System of Loacalizazion installed in your vehicle, and inform
urgently your BMW Dealer, in case of its failure.
Otherwise, the SOC will be able to deactivate temporarily the
System until the necessary maintenance or adjustments of the
product will be carried out.
- In case of theft, during the localization and immobilization of your
vehicle, it is mandatory open the corresponding denounce of theft
at the Competent Authority. Please remember that you can incur in
a crime in case of false declaration about false theft or holdups.
- In case of sale of the vehicle you will have to communicate to
the new owner the presence of the device in the vehicle and give
to him this manual as well as the two ID TAG.
Control center ( SOC ):
The SOC is operative 24 hours per day for 365 days.

In case of holdup or emergency please call the SOC, identifying
yourself, with your password and the plate of the vehicle.
ATTENTION: for security reasons, if you do not reply to the calls
of the SOC during 24 hours, the SOC will proceed to blocking
the vehicle and will not be possible to take it back.

Current consumption : less than 3mA in stand-by and less than
100mA in active mode
Temperature range : 25° to 70°
